Super delicious Japanese. Fresh and modern with interesting twists on the usual dishes. Charming setting in a small, cosy room. Perfect place for a date night or catch up with friends. Highly recommend.
In a week of firsts for restaurants I had yet to visit, I ticked Yachiyo off my list. And subsequently added to my list of restaurants I must return to.
I know understand why this place is so busy every time I walk past. The food is excellent. And we try enough dishes.

Shared an entre' mix sushi was absolutely fresh, melt in mouth delicious. So much so we ordered another. Staff was a bit flustered with limited staff which we waited some time.
Recommended by a local, service was well below average. Veggie - eggplant/salad and sushi dishes - were notable but meat was very unremarkable. Decor is lovely. What bugged the most was unhelpful and slow service. Like they would rather we hadn’t bothered…
Fantastic staff, excellent atmosphere, good drinks (including sake tasting), and the food is phenomenal! I'd recommend ordering a few dishes and then when you've finished, order a few more!
