Review Hotel Mosman - Mosman

Caught up with some friends on a Sunday evening for dinner. Food was excellent. The chicken schnitzel for $15 was fantastic. The menu has some great options and is quite big. Staff are very good - super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

THE BEST CHICKEN BREAST AND MASH AROUND. An institution. Cannot be beat in terms of service and food at amazing prices. Great steak. Great menu. The best service. They will remember you no matter how many times you have been and make you feel like family. Please stop by ! The best.

Hotel Mosman is seriously the best bistro pub on the lower north shore. Hands down! Their service is always super friendly and really quick, plus their menu has something for everyone. Our steak was on par with any of Sydney's top restaurants. Side veggies and salads are also super cheap with absolutely huge servings. We are always really impressed. Plus the bar staff was more than accommodating with some tweaks to our order. We go there all the time and the food is always the same top quality.

An old haunt for me, been going here for years, since a teenager pretty much. A staple where I take my Mum for lunch on occasions or really whenever we catch up and want something to eat. Food hasn't missed a beat, and the wait staff are always kind and willing to help. Having a family now it's fantastic that they have that family area with booths and ingenious little high chairs which clip onto the tables. If you want something a little fancier, you can head upstairs, essentially the same food but it's a more intimate experience, leave your kids downstairs 🤣 Thanks Hotel Mosman!

Upset that I can no longer eat at Hotel Mosman after they introduced burning candles on both levels. Candle string wicks give off pollutant emissions and perfume scent particulates triggers my asthma. Hotel Mosman, give staff and customers clean air and reduce respiratory disease from long term exposure to candle pollution. Health from pollution free clean air, should take precedence over the 'mood' candles create. You've lost at least 10 pc of your customers. Outdoors upstairs they installed outdoors blinds which traps in the burning wick and airborne wax scent emissions. Gets into the lungs. Once the particles are in the lungs, it takes coughing for many days to get rid of the pollutants, then the asthma lungs just keep you coughing for more days. About 10 per cent of the population suffering allergy and asthma will be affected. OH&S problem for staff who are not aware that one day in adult life, you can just wake up and have allergies/asthma, what happened to me at age 32 from exposure to working on Pacific Hwy on Sydney's north shore breathing in car fumes for two years.

One of my best mates lives up the road from the Hotel Mosman and a few years ago introduced me to their $9.90 steak special. The price has gone up a couple of dollars and is now $12, but is still a damn good price for a steak & chips, especially for the area. Cooked perfectly medium rare, 300g porterhouse. It's a little grisly and chewy but for a $12 steak you can't complain too much. It's a great special and if I lived in the area would make it a regular dinner.

The venue is nice, with a lovely view out over Boronia House. The bar itself is trendy and upmarket to be expected for the area. Good range of beers on tap, but there's a TAB up the back, and I'm fairly sure a pokie room hiding around the corner reminding you it's still a pub.

Great venue, and worth trying their steak special.

Cheap and Cheerful!
You know what, I am a fan of their iconic $10 steak. You get what you pay for and if you want to live it up add a garlic bread to it.
They have a good wine selection, service is fast and the chef places tunes in the kitchen.

For $9.90 the steak here is excellent value with a side of mash or chips. Its always a nice lean piece of meat and cooked excellent and will be going back many more times for this one.

I dont know how come they make money when they sell steak and drumstick for $10
open until late, so i can go anytime i want to.
beer and everything is cheap
many tvs on the wall so we could watch sports while we waiting for meal.
I love that Creamy mushroom sauce :)

To start at the beginning of my experience
- smoking box at the front of the property, very yuck and does not give me the want or the taste to go in.
Once in staff seem nice and welcoming
Order easy taken and upsell offered
Food we tried the $ 8 steak steak worth what you pay for but plus chips plus drink basically have a $15 meal. The food was ok but with the smell again of smoke walking out no rush to head back
Kate. Really the effectuate staff are a joke - drunk men are allowed to remain on the premises to harass woman who have coped nicely with them stating they are having a lovely evening catching up with old friends so thanks for letting us chat-security staff were actually calm - bar staff however were not on hearing these drunk men were rejected by the ladies then asked the women to leave. Really??

Wander over to the North shore’s wealthy and affluent suburb of Mosman and you will find weekday and weekend lunch deals at Hotel Mosman located towards the corner of Military and Spit roads.

A hearty piece of 300gm Porterhouse steak with a choice of bernaise, creamy mushroom, pepper or red wine jus will set you back for just $7.90. Yes, you read correctly, $7.90 for that piece of steak.

...beer battered fish and chips and it arrives with three generous pieces of flathead cooked to a golden brown crisp...The fish is fresh and succulent...

Disabled toilets used as storeroom. When I made my reservation they assured me it was completely accessible including the toilet. On arrival I discovered the disabled toilet was actually being used as a storeroom - despite them knowing I was coming! Would you treat your able bodied patrons this way?

Horrible. Food is grubby with absolutely no effort on plating. Flavourless and overpriced. Been coming here for many years and the place has finally hit rock bottom.

Great food and cheap drinks the chicken caesar salad for dinner and the beef burger for lunch are great :)

I've had many feeds at the HoMo through the years and the quality has been good and consistent for all that time. It's my go-to place for good food and a beer (or several) with friends.

$7.90 Porterhouse Steak. This must be one of the best value sirloin steaks in Sydney! Done pretty good too!
