Review Chargrill Charlie's - Mosman

I had been recommended this chicken shop by a good friend, who raved about it, and now i can see why. Chargrill Charlie’s popped up on my instagram sharing some love. With shops all other the north side of the bridge, when i was in Manly, i had to stop by for lunch. Like a newb i walked in to order, then realised there is a whole system going on here. You grab a number, then order then somehow they remember you and tell you when you order is ready. Justin Bieber visited on the 17th March, which is proudly displayed in the middle of the shop. JB had a very good tip off here Chicken + cheese;; american cheese combo $15.30 - waow! i didn’t get many photos because i literally inhaled this burger in 1 minute. I don’t know whether it’s the red onion, secret sauce or that chicken that makes this burger so amazing. #addicted Also those fries, i love that you go to a chicken shop and the chips are fries, its the absolute perfect companion rather than thick hot chips

The go to chicken shop! Well priced and service is sharp. Not only chicken here, you have roasts, lasagne, salads, desserts.

Remember to get a number as soon as you walk in. I was so hungry and so entranced by the colourful displays of food, it was about 10 mins before I realised I needed to get myself a ticket to line up & order. Know for next time.

This was my first time eating here. I thought this would be just another normal chicken stuff. However it is not. First of all, the chicken and chips (half chicken) is just cheaper than all of the stuff i went. Second of all, i thought the chicken would be dry and kinda hard to eat that's why i sat down and washed my hand and got lots of sauces but i was mistaken. It was so tender and soft. It just falls apart and i was using the plastic fork and knife but it just feels like its not plastic. That's how soft the chicken was. Thirdly, the chips is so thin which is better than the thick ones. It was crispy. Lastly it was so good. Just bones are left. Sauces are hardly touched bcs it wasn't needed that much. The sauce add some flavour for the chicken and chips. Thank you, this is quite a service. I spent less than $15 for the food and i didn't even need water bcs it was so tender. Normally i would but it just falls apart in my mouth (chicken)

Coming on for a quick sunday lunch around 1.30pm. This place is super busy. But you still get the food under 5min. Chicken was juicy, chips was crispy and hot. The team work so hard and serious, but still greet you with friendly face. Bang for your bucks Enough said, 10/10.

Very disappointed this time with the food. Ordered Portuguese chicken roll and specifically asked for not having salad in the role for health dietary reasons. They not only put salad in the roll but also used normal grilled chicken not the Portuguese and charged for Portuguese! Very disappointed as we’ve been regulars for the past 7 years and a fan. When called to speak with them no response.

Truly disgusting. Id rather eat a tramps shoe than try here again. Last time i order here, made me ill! Poor quality cheap ingredients. Cold chewy fries again. Last time chicken was like rubber. Before that it wasnt fully cooked and i had to throw it away. Staff completely disinterested and not the best hygiene. It used to be fine, but has gone down hill rapidly. Avoid!

I am wondering if this shop has changed hands. I buy dinner about once a month, and for 15 years they have been excellent. Tonight there was one empty cabinet in the display, no rice provided with the beef stroganoff, and the beef was not particularly appealing. I can recommend the spicy chicken wings, though.

Probably the worst food delivery experience I've ever had. Food took over an hour to arrive, when it finally did it was ice cold, everything tasted strange like it was old / from a previous day, had to throw most of it out.<br/><br/>Will never order from here ever again. Terrible experience. Be warned.

Appalling customer service. I wanted to book catering for 20 people totalling $350. Went into the store, took a catering menu from their tables and spoke to a young man at the counter about the pricing and products. After collecting money from 20 people I called to be book to be told that the pricing changed 2 years ago and that despite their staff member informing me of the wrong pricing and having the displayed costs at each table they could not provide a discount. The owner was so rude, and provided no customer service with comments such as "your loss" and "it is bugger all money". You have lost more than one customer from this, never again will I be back.

Everyone was beyond friendly and was at an afternoon rush due to all the schoolkids nearby coming to grab something.<br/><br/>I got a quarter chicken and chips with some gravy and was in love. Biggest comfort food!

Last Thursday afternoon my friends and I had a really bad experience with the staff at this joint. I love the food at Chargrill Charlie’s but the staff were so incredibly rude & unprofessional. The whole experience was uncomfortable & we will not be returning.

Delicious chicken wings and veggies. Not really value for money but they make up with it in flavour. Keen to try the chicken schnitzel next time.

Delicious home style food. Had the 1/4 chicken dinner that comes with 3 salads. Thinking that wasn't enough I also ordered the lamb shank but didn't realise that comes with mash. <br/><br/>The chicken and salad would have been enough and walked out of there with a very full stomach.

Food is great! When the owner is away I feel like I'm in another country, everyone speaks another language! Free holiday!<br/>Love the occasional chicken gristle.

Great place to go for lunch, prices are reasonable considering the quantity of food. However, it's nothing special compared to other burger places

Chargrill Charlie's is an institution in Mosman village. Every day these hardworking ladies & gentlemen prepare hearty, good, honest and affordable food for the Mosman community. Their rotisserie Portuguese chicken, crunchy potato wedges and scrumptious salads satisfy heart, soul, stomach and wallet. Double thumbs up for Chargrill Charlie's!
