Review Counting Sheep Corner - Mosman

A pleasant cafe on the corner with outside seating either on the shadey east side or sunny north side depending on time of day. Good food, ordered from the breakfast menu and the food was very good and tasty, the coffee was average like most cafe's, over all a good cafe.

Love the banana bread and coffee here which is my standard order. Have ordered a few different things and once was told my order was given to someone else after I'd waited 15 mins, then waited another 15mins for the order to be made again for me. Or ordering and asking to eat here only to have coffee brought to the table in a takeaway cup. Definitely more attention to detail needed from the staff. They are so close to having a consistently good experience for customers here. There's an excellent competitor up on military road which never gets it wrong. And I like to visit both cafes, both may be re thinking this and stick with the consistently good cafe. Visited again after 6 months, and again they served our food in all take away containers and a plastic bag, even though we ordered to eat there and had a table number.

Great coffee from an old school cafe with a home made ethic. Counting Sheep sits on a corner perfectly positioned to catch early sun. The fit out is ecclectic - mismatched furniture, and curios ranging from beach to Asian. This is a spot for locals, not the trendy set. The food is home style traditional Australian - quiches, sausage rolls. Tasty, not especially Instagram ready. Muffins and other baked goods are mostly made on premises. The eggs are good, the corn fritters taste good (even if presentation is a bit dated). Staff are lovely, service can be a little slow sometimes, but this isn't a hole in the wall in the city, it's the burbs. Enjoy it!

As a cafe manager I have to say this cafe is disgusting. Absolutely nothing wrong with the service here but after I ordered I actually asked for them not to makey coffee because the machine was so filthy. Cleanliness is everything and I felt dirty in this shop. Doesn't take much to mop the floor and clean your coffee machine properly.

Unfortunately this cafe has so much potential but disappointed. The avo smash was more an avo crash with a spread of avo on old school white bread. The lamb pie was full of grisly lamb and the coffee below average. The children’s toys despairing to be cleaned

Decent coffee in a rather cramped little store. Not ideal for families but great for a quick antisocial coffee while you update your social media if the clientele is anything to go by.

Amazing coffee, fast service with a smile. Baked goodies at the counter are always fresh. A great family run cafe frequented by locals.

Good coffee and a nice caf selection - but my companions said their beef pies, albeit with quality ingredients, were a little bland and dry...
