Review Avenue Road Cafe - Mosman

Shane
Amazing spot for brekkie, I had the Bombay breakfast and it was incredible. The scrambled eggs were so soft and fluffy. The mango chutney and mint yoghurt paired very well together. A great spin on the usual chilli scrambled eggs.
Damien Chan
A well situated cafe in Mosman with pleasant staff and comfortable surroundings. The menu looks appealing but for today I only had a nice cold drink here.

Probably the best Eggs Benny I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious! My partner ordered the Bombay Breakfast which was inspired and equally amazing. My only complaint is that the tables outside are very cramped. I had to endure a painful conversation with two people sitting next to us that felt like it was taking place at our table. But putting that aside, the service was great, fast and friendly. Will definitely be returning!

This is a nice place. Very convenient location in the heart of Mosman, and friendly staff. We ordered the pancakes and the eggs benny with salmon. Definitely good food and good coffee. The eggs Benedict has these tiny croquettes that come with it, which is quite nice. Hope to try some other dishes as well next time we’re around.

Best breakfasts in Sydney! Love this place. The corn fritters are immense, so many good flavours and textures on your plate. A great fill for the day ahead.

They reached their peak in 2016 I really used to love the Avenue Road Café - they used to mix a bit of Indian cuisine and modern café food (as far as I can tell).l but unfortunately the good times are long gone. Food - well, it is alright. I had better food, I had worse. The dishes are not as creative as years ago. It’s just not great to serve your guests an adjusted dish because they ran out of the ingredients. Service - a point I really want to criticise. The staff is just too busy, not paying attention and not friendly because they simply have no time to. When people complain that it is hot inside they should switch on the A/C. We can see the air con, switch it on and don’t tell us “you can’t find the remote”. Waiting times - I understand it is busy and you have to queue but once inside I had to wait for my coffee and my food over an hour. I complained and got the reply “sorry, it’s a really busy day”. Mate, you served all tables around but not me? Just claim your mistake, apologise and serve the food for free. Over all I will never go back again. I gave the Avenue Road Café so many chances and they kept messing up.

Always happy and friendly staff. Food never disappoints and great coffee!! There is a bit of a wait time to get in at busy times but it's worth it.

I used to love this place however have been very disappointed by the service the last few times. Today the staff would not allow us to swap ham for bacon on the omelette (although they are the same $5 fee on the sides menu - a like for like swap). On other menu options you can choose between ham and bacon, another reason why this was so bizarre if this occurs for other menu options. How does this disadvantage the venue? Instead leaving customers with a bad experience. Due to the rude nature of the staff and ridiculous response disallowing a simple item swap, we decided to go to another cafe and spend our money elsewhere. Really disappointing after being long term customers. Another friend of ours was disallowed to swap their eggs for fried eggs.

Nice cosy cafe. Staff were friendly and food tasted great. Coffee was perfect and was a smooth blend. Service was fast and didn’t have to wait too long, and I look forward to going back again soon.

Copy cat cafe - beware. This cafe has straight out copied the original meals and ideas of popular Sydney cafe vine and Grind . Please check their fish tacos, kofta bowl, chicken Haloumi salad, fritters.. the list is endless. How a cafe can be rated in top 5 north shore after having copied another cafes meals is just beyond me.
Amber Lee
The avenue road cafe obviously does not know the work originality and creativity as they have copied a few dishes from vine and grind. The dishes have the same ingredients and look exactly the same e.g fish tacos, chicken and haloumi salad and fritters. The chef should be ashamed for copying someone else hard work and idea.
Everyone knows that vine and grind is a popular cafe.

Avenue Road is a great local spot. Breakfast really attracts crowds who have a wide selection of options to choose from. The avocado with mushroom, halloumi and spices meant there was an interesting flavour and texture to a traditional breaky item. Only downside is the interior that is lacking in a refined contemporary look. However the green juice is outstanding!
Jem Coco
My friends and I ordered the poke bowl, halloumi stack, barramundi and risotto. I found the food to be average but the coffee was really good. The risotto didn't look that appealing. However, the service was great. I'd go back just for the coffee.
Sydney Food Enthusiast
This place is my local! Food here is consistently great. Service is efficient and friendly. My only wish is that they did all full all day breakfast menu. Try the granola with poached pear and fruits, or their haloumi stack!
Mulan Zhong
A very generous cafe, each portion they give is more than enough. They have a range of menu items for those with different requirements e.g. vegan, pesc, vege. The haloumi stack was great, the cheese was cooked perfectly so that it was still juicy and not too overpowering. One star off as the service was average.
Mark Hewlett
I can’t fault anything about this place. The food is super tasty, healthy and served extremely generously. The coffee is spot-on and the service is always very friendly. For Mosman the prices are reasonable and the menu diverse enough for most tastes.
ChefsTable
Great breakfast and lunch spot (i prefer their breakfast). Loved their corn and quinoa fritters with a poached egg and bacon. My friend had the brekkie stack, which also looked great. Excellent coffee too. It's better sitting outside (except for winter as it gets really cold...) Make sure you ask for a blanket and the heaters on in Winter... Brrrrrrrr....
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
Cosy cafe, with intimate indoor seating and alfresco dining. It was incredibly busy the day I visited so I was pleased I'd pre-ordered my takeaway coffee via an app. I was greeted by name on arrival at the cafe; the reusable cup I requested be used instead of a takeaway cup probably gave me away. The Double Roasters coffee was fantastically full bodied but the lovely latte art was unfortunately lost under a shower of cocoa. It would seem a return visit is in order.
Cels
Awesome corn and quinoa fritters with a side of bacon, portion size was big and the fritters were delicious. Despite being very busy the service was still good. Must try brunch place!
Nana
Great cafe! Came here on a fine day, and loved the chill Sunday vibes.

Food was promptly served by a (v attentive) waiter, and did not disappoint at all! Servings were quite big, and the poached egg ordered was done perfectly.

We ordered:
Big breakfast
Haloumi stack
Vegan bowl ( Chia porridge)

Love it and would recommend :)
Spooning Australia
In a climate of more cafes than can be counted everything has to be exceptional to stand out. Avenue Road unfortunately wasn’t exceptional for our table but it was good and the Bombay Breakfast was the winner. The place is a packed hive of locals and their latte art is impressive. I will return in the future to try that delicious looking lunch menu and I will attend on a quieter time to avoid the hordes.
Full review is now up in Spooning.

We went here for what was an earlier than usual breakfast for me on the weekend and this place was buzzing! There's a variety of sweet and savoury dishes on the menu. I went for the ricotta and blueberry pancakes. I found the pancakes a little dry, even with the syrup and ricotta. The service and coffee are fantastic!
Timothydent
These guys rock. I've been here a few times and consistently have had some of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time, which is impressive as I'm a self-confessed coffee tragic. Sevice is good polite and prompt. Food is pretty good too. Bonus is the opening time 6am ....and as I'm an early riser, Its good to know its actually worth the trip for an early cuppa.
Coffeebrunchanddinner
Located just off Mosman Village this cafe is popular with the locals and is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. There is indoor and outdoor seating but generally just grab a spot where you can! If you are indoors you will most certainly notice the striking light feature made up of colourful mismatched light fittings and outside you get to people watch - win/win!

The breakfast menu has something for everyone and so we went with the house favourites. The Ave Benedict is unique at this cafe served with crispy duck & cauliflower quince cous cous on sourdough with poached egg, apple cider hollandaise and dukkah. This dish is both beautiful and delicious. The crispy duck was a pleasant surprise on the eggs Benedict which gave it a richer taste without being overly sweet. The palak eggs come with a generous amount of lamb served with tomato, spinach, feta and plenty of cashew nuts (which give it a nice crunch). This dish tastes nothing like your shakshuka options that you see on most menus however it is warming and filling. We also ordered the raspberry and coconut bread which was served with a side of cashew butter - the bread was thick cut and delicious - make sure that you get it toasted!

Even if you are not grabbing some brunch, ordering a coffee is an absolute must as you will be treated to some of the best and creative coffee art around - whether it's a few fish or a bear you are sure to find something designed by the barista in your usual coffee order.

The lunch menu looks equally enticing with options such as garlic prawn linguine, southern fried chicken burger and BBQ duck pancakes this cafe is busy all day long.

If you are in the area head down Avenue Road and let the friendly staff look after you as you sit back and enjoy some delicious brunch options and gaze at the amazing coffee art
Princess Greedy Guts
Just off busy Military Road you will find this busy, buzzy cafe with both outdoor & indoor seating full of satisfied looking customers whether they are having a great coffee & smashed avo on toast or a more decadent glass of wine & hearty Bombay chicken pie. Everything looks delicious & mouth wateringly tempting so it was difficult to decide on what to eat for lunch! Starting with a Green juice & mango frappe feels so clean & refreshing for a hot day with beautiful, vibrant colours. The menu has some Indian & Thai accents & the BBQ duck pancakes was an example. It had thin, bouncy crepe encasing flavoursome, tender confit duck pieces & creme fraiche as well as a contrasting zingy, Asian style sauce. The crispy barramundi was delicious, light & fresh served with a Thai style salad, avocado salsa & pistachio pesto, perfect example of fusion done well. Then there was the Southern Fried chicken burger - 2 generous pieces of schnitzel like chicken pieces, American cheese, pickles & sriracha mayo, it was finger lickin good, especially with those rosemary scented steak fries. We accidentally ordered an extra dish of ricotta pancakes & what a good mistake it was! Light, fluffy & utterly delicious. That sweet vanilla mascarpone took it from breakfast to decadent dessert & the toasted almonds provided the perfect contrasting crunchy texture. Double Roasters coffee is used here & the cappuccino is strong & smooth & babycino perfect with cute coffee art & dense froth. So many of the house made sweets were flying off the shelves so the caramel slice & Portuguese tarts had to be ordered. The caramel slice is soft, gooey & decadent & Portuguese tart fluffy with crispy pastry & generous amount of custard. Both were winners. Food portions are generous & very well priced. The cafe is busy & also child & dog friendly with efficient, smiling service that makes you feel welcome & relaxed.

Food and coffee was good, shouldn't be in top 50 Sydney cafes.Lunch was $60. A bit expensive for 2 coffees 1 juice,a wrap, salad and a soup.
Anne Maya
With fantastic atmosphere, service, choice and most importantly - food, this cafe is now one I'll be regularly returning to! Very happy customer. :)

Mosman Village is abuzz with people on the weekend having been out for a walk with their dogs or families after their children's sporting match. Turn off the main strip into Avenue Road to this cafe and you won't be disappointed. Outside seating and a number of tables and couches inside. We sat in the corner of this cafe and were very comfortable, watching the crowds go by. The cafe was consistently busy but service was very efficient. The menu has typical brunch options like eggs, pancakes, bircher, banana bread and omelettes but also specials that are super interesting. The cafe has Indian and Thai inspiration and as such the foods boast these features. We ordered the palak eggs; like a baked eggs, but the bowl had slow cooked lamb and beans in a spiced cherry tomato sauce with spinach, feta, nuts and gremlolata, topped with poached eggs and two slices of toast. Nice flavours and a generous portion, different to your typical baked eggs. I ordered 'The Avenue Benedict' - Sourdough topped with crispy duck (which was delicious!!) and quince cauliflower couscous, apple cider vinegar hollandajse and poached eggs, well cooked, yolk running out as it should. We got coffees (double roasters) and the most beautiful latte art - fish!! Love it! I also had a mint, pineapple and apple juice which was really nice and fresh. I had briefly mentioned it was my husbands birthday and the lovely staff brought out a very fresh and tasty apple and berry muffin and a side of ice cream. The waitress even sang happy birthday!! I had an amazing caramel slice too. This is a great cafe that I highly recommend. The staff were extremely nice and a really comfortable cafe to enjoy your Saturday.
Excuse Me Waiter
The village atmosphere is alive and well in Mosman, and Avenue Road Cafe is right in the thick of it all – when we drop by on a Saturday morning, the cafe is full of locals enjoying their brunches in the sunshine if they’re lucky enough to be seated outside on this sunny day. At first glance, the menu seems to have all the standard brunch fare on offer, but when you look closer you’ll see there are unexpected twists on old favourites such as The Ave Benedict which features a generous serving of crispy duck with an interesting cauliflower quince couscous, apple cider hollandaise and a sprinkling of dukkah. Now we’re eggs benedict connoisseurs and thought we had pretty much tried all variations of the classic dish, but we were impressed by this combination of flavours and textures.
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
Just when we thought we had tried every good brunch spot In Sydney, along comes Avenue Rd cafe and we have a new entry on the list. You'll find Avenue Rd cafe in the heart of Mosman, a stone's throw away from the main strip giving it a perfect mix of vibe and location. The space is relaxed with white walls and comfortable seating. You'll also see some nice artwork on the walls too.
Weekendfoodescapes
in Sydney is the perfect excuse to try out a new suburb to explore, so I venture out to Avenue Rd café in Mosman to try their new classic menu. with an Asian twist. Avenue Rd feels like the. perfect classic weekend chillout café, with the choice of elegant fittings. indoors with timeless lantern lights and relaxing acoustic tunes inside, or outside
Snapshots Of Food
It is very rare that you see us venture out to the great North Shore, where the buses are as common as a pidgey, BMW and Jaguar are just relative terms and a single train cannot be seen for miles. We were generously invited to dine at Avenue Road Cafe in Mosman and wow were we excited!. (Look at the menu and you will see what we mean!)
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
This homely space with whitewashed walls, fringing banquettes and quirky collection of art deco pendant lights has a hint of understated celebrity about it.As the name suggests, it is located on Avenue Road, home to some wonderful exemplars of Federation architecture, and the first proper road to be constructed in Mosman back in 1860. The pavement tables provide a good base to watch the good burghers of Mosman pass by. I was kept entertained by frighteningly mature white-clad teens collecting skinny lattes; the immaculately dressed plastic surgeon next door struggling to raise an eyebrow about the café’s seating impinging upon her egress; and the somewhat performative arrival of sports columnist Peter FitzSimons wearing his trademark red bandanna.Marrickville’s Double Roasters scrubs up well in a Flat White ($3.50), though its bitterness means you may need to add some of that hipster sugar they have in jars on the tables.Avoid the sweetness with their Healthy Start ($7) designer juice, made on an earthy, blend of beetroot, carrot, celery and ginger. Even a Mint Sensation ($7) combining pineapple, mint, apple and lime tastes pleasantly light on sweet. The morning menu contains all your regular breakfast standards, from porridge and pancakes all the way to omelettes and bacon and egg rolls. A side of Bacon ($4) clues me in they care about cooking with quality stuff. The menu twist I wasn’t expecting were...
Sweetandyummie
Sunny cafe located just off the Main Street offering delicious food that is flavoursome with fresh flavours. All the dishes are housemade which is a testament to the great chefs they have working there. Our waitress was super friendly and knew the menu really well. I highly recommend the Bombay chicken pie and the pan seared barramundi. Make sure to order the Portuguese tart because it's amazing.
Maddie
This cafe does the best hot cakes ever!! They're in a good location in Mosman. Always quick and friendly service, I have never had to wait more then 3 minutes for a table! And they're juices and milkshakes are great too!
Shane&Brenda
Very generous portions and a much larger selection than we had anticipated. Everything was very fresh and service was fast, we will certainly return.
Brent Higgins
Fantastic service, great coffee and their poached eggs are perfect everytime-something that is severely lacking at most other Cafes throughout Sydney.

Get the corn fritters- you won't be disappointed!
Michael Flatley
We've been coming here for 6 months now, the service is excellent, the menu is changed with interesting specials to keep it fresh, coffee great and the owners genuinely seem interested in their customers. A great place for breakfast and watch the world go by
YuMMM.com
This a hive of activity early morning not just weekends but during the week as well with all the 'soccer mums' and older locals. Breakfast here is quite good. Easy as I live walking distance. Service is ok, nothing startling though. Table service can take a while when busy. Love that blankets are provided when cold if seated outside. A very small establishment but does extremely well with the locals.
Smelcupcakes
I forgot what the juice was that I had ordered, but the size was impressive. I'm pretty sure there was beetroot in it (the colour is a small give away, hey). Anyhow, the service was fantastic - the staff were cute and friendly. We were very satisfied.
Little Eats Sydney
A cafe with a huge local following and once you experience their friendly service and hearty delicious food, you will understand why. Little ones are made very welcome with their own menu, highchairs and gorgeous babycinos.
A Food Fable
...beforehand, we had a quick breakfast stop in Mosman’s favourite cafe: Avenue Road: Address: 185 Avenue Road, Mosman NSW 2088 Open: Mon-Wed 6am-5pm and Thu-Sun 6am-11pm Price range: up to $20 for breakfast Avenue Rd When we pop in, we’re instantly greeted by staff including a man behind the counter who seems to be the owner. He’s super friendly and asks us how we are. As the morning rolls by, I notice he chats to all the customers, who seem to be locals/regulars. Clearly this is a local fav.
Amy
On the other hand, the walnut & raisin toast was delicious. I really wanted to feast on a muffin...
Jeanne Yu
She thought it was very nice and would happily make the trek to Mosman again :)
Emma
Terrible food, overpriced and bad service - definitely won't be back
Miss DD
Room for improvement. ...good food. Centrally located in Mosman, cute vintage inspired decor. Standing lamps from the ceiling. Vintage cluster lights and other vintage homewares. Good selection on the menu with seasonal specials. Food is tasty, well paced delivery of the food. Prices are typical cafe mid twenty dollars a main. Fresh juices are good value. We tried the Avenue Road burger and the meatball special. Meat slightly dry, but flavoursome. Yes I'd return to try the all daybreakfast menu. Would like to see more consistent in staff service. Need retraining to match rest of the quality of the cafe

I had breakfast there over the weekend. The service was terrible. The food was terrible. When asked if everything was ok, we said it wasn't... and nothing happened. We didn't even get a small gesture (like a free coffee)... Then, when the bill came, all our meals were priced at $2 higher than the menu price. When I challenged their prices the manager advised that there was an issue with the registers and it's been happening for ages!!! Hello... fix that! or tell customers... don't charge them more! i'm sure if the system was processing amounts less than the menu pricing the problem would be fixed. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BILL... i will never eat there again.
Eloise_01
Great food, bigoted staff.. A lovely meal, quite overpriced but would return on that basis. Although, certain staff members made me feel quite uncomfortable with their homophobic comments. Most likely will not return on principle.
Janeireland
Awful service, crap food, overpriced!. I had the fritters this morning. They were totally uncooked. I told the waitress and she mumbled something and looked sheepish and took the plate away. I waited as I assumed someone would come and address it. They didn't. Instead I got the bill (which was a stupid amount for breakfast) . I was astonished. I went in and talked to the manager on my way out and he just shrugged, no apology! Nothing. Worst service ever. And the other food that was actually cooked, was just so average. This place used to be great. I will never go again and I recommend you avoid it.
Tina
This place used to be fantastic but no more. Waited at least 45 minutes for what was a mediocre breakfast. The table next to us who ordered 20 minutes after us got served before we did. Food was unimpressive and definitely overpriced. The wait staff could do with going on a customer service course. If your customers express they are unhappy and its obviously the restaurants fault, don't just ignore it. Acknowledge and apologise and more than likely they'll feel appeased enough to overlook and come back. Don't and they won't. Too many other breakfast places in the area that are so much better.
Nanok
Used to love this place.. We wouldn't never come back after today. Last 2 visits were poor experiences too. Overpriced food, slow service and cold food. Waited 20 mins for our drinks and 35 for simple big breakfast. Toasts were like cardboards!! Just awful compared to what it used to be!!
Dwr
Shocking Service + Overpriced. This cafe used to be good now it is shocking. The Breakfast menu is expensive and where they use to have meals that were different it is now bog standard eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms bacon etc. Even worse extra's are $5.00.

As for service, my wife and I ordered breakfast for two 45 minutes we gave up and left asking asking three times as to where our meal was. 5 minutes became 10. The lady on the next table came after us had a full breakfast and left before we were served.

We went across to Swere on Spit Road, food was great, extra's $3.00 and we were served within 8 minutes of sitting down.
Rigbyc88
Over priced for average food. Very overpriced food for what you get, 3 breakfast meals with coffee cost $90 which is far to expensive for an eggs benedict served on piece of small toast.
Jennnykelly9
Horrible and breathtakingly bad service. I went to the Cafe on Sunday for breakfast and ordered a sandwich and a coffee. The sandwich arrived quickly but 20 minutes after I finished my sandwich still no coffee.I decided as they were busy just to wait patiently.Incredibly a very aggressive young Chinese waitress marched up to my table with two prospective diners, asked why I was at the table demanded I leave, then asked if I had ordered takeaway and could I wait outside.Yes Really!I told her I was still waiting for my coffee.Incredibly the coffee took another 15 minutes. No apology.Probably the most unprofessional service I have ever seen.Cafes come and go in Mosman,I predict this Cafe has a short life ahead.
Jeaston63
Great Food!. Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch. Great friendly staff who are always up for a chat, with nice quick attentive service. The food gets better every time we eat there, the specials are always a great place to start! Fantastic coffee and an amazing butterscotch milkshake!
Kalex
Had breakfast here this morning and was really very happy. Just stumbled in hoping to have a nice breakfast. The coffee was great and so was the service. Friendly faces from all the staff! I also thought it was quite affordable too. I had the big breakfast and it was definitely a good choice! Can't complain to be honest! Well done!
Charlotte Rose
V yummy. Had the corn fritters with haloumi. Yum. Good coffee
Charlie.k.cook
Very disappointed with the hour wait and cold food, as well as rude waiters and waitresses. not impressed.
Papizatziki
Not happy ! My coffee was wrong , milk burnt , coffee tasted bitter ! Breakfast was ordinary asked for sunny side up got scrambled eggs ??? Next time I will go to maccas ! Food comes out quicker , tastes the same , and for half the price!
Eric Maley
The Avenue was a huge disappointment. The two lattes arrived a few minutes apart with vastly different volumes and taste. The Big Breakfast looked and tasted like it came from a failing transport cafe with two slices of toast plopped on top. The bacon was swimming in brown grease. The baked egg was a single egg with baked beans and a touch of spinach. No love evident in the food or service at this highly over-rated cafe
Gemmawalker61
Great coffee. Food is a bit hit and miss- and can take a while to come if its busy. Some staff are really friendly, some lack any type of social skills! Worth it though, as the coffee really is great.
Olivia.suth
Slow service, cold food. Horrible service, took way too long and i was tempted to walk out after the hour id been waiting
Icecream3009
Worth the wait?. The food is good, but the wait is ridiculous. My friends and I waited over 45 minutes to receive our food after having to remind them of our order. Even worse when it arrived it was cold. I suggest this restaurant if you are in no rush. Slightly disappointed
Todd Martin
Perhaps it's complacency. The last two visits have been very disappointing - in particular the quality of the food. Cold fritters, undercooked products and a meal that was served incomplete.

The most disappointing aspect was when these matters were raised with wait staff, they showed little interest...... opportunity missed.

It is a good location and we've had pretty good experiences in the past, but these most recent two experiences have resulted in us scratching this place off our list of local breakfast haunts.
Tim
This would be a good place to take an out of town relative who thinks food is good if it's expensive. Although they may get restless waiting for (really bad) service.
Chandre Parmar
Becoming quite a regular at avenue road now, great spot for lunch with a nice glass of wine or coffee and cake with friends. Love the decor and the service is always great.
Mcdonald.roslyn
Avenue Road Cafe. Great food, great service, friendly staff and awesome coffee
David Kirkham
Awesome Food and Coffee with the highest level of customer service possible! Very Reasonable Prices and Top Location! Love this Cafe! Certainly the best there is in Mosman!
UK Dog Lover
Unfortunately what was a wonderful Mosman cafe has declined in standard since what I presume is new management. The serving size borders on the mean & meagre & some of the new dishes on the menu just aren't very tasty. The service has always been a bit surly, no change there. The cafe has opened up in the evening during some nights of the week & maybe they are atretching themselves too thin. I've stopped going & I notice it is less busy lately so I'm not alone.
LR
Very Very AVERAGE. Meals delivered without cutlery. We figured they were going back in there for it and we waited. 4 waitresses saw us but none noticed that we hadn't started our meals because we had no cutely. Food was very average!! Poached chicken sandwich should have been called chicken salad sandwich because it was pieces of chicken drenched in mayonnaise like "chicken salad" rolls. I had to add so much salt because they obviously forgot to season it. My husbands coconut prawn salad looked nasty and apparently tasted nasty.
The bill came out and it was for a different table.
Location is nice but that's about it
Chris Smith
Great name, great coffee. I live nearby on raglan street (raglan street cafe doesn't have the same ring) and have been to most of the coffee shops in mosman, there are quite a few... avenue road has a great bean, their coffees are consistent and the only reason you have to wait is becuase there is a que, not because the barristas are slow. food is pricey, but worth it, service is friendly but a little abrupt, all in though it's definitely a place to frequent. bring your range rover and your puppy.
Crystal Fischer
North shore gem. Avenue Road is a bit grungier than you'd expect for this area - more Surry Hills than Mosman. We recently had an excellent lunch. I tried the special prawn linguini, which had a nice garlic hit with some crunch from breadcrumbs.

The coffee and breakfast is excellent here too. Always busy with good reason.
Zara11
Top notch. Beautiful experience. Great food and coffee. Never a disappointment.

Fantastic. Just moved in to the neighbourhood and noticed this busy place. Very good quality food and service and the price was very good especially for Mosman.

Highly recommended , though I do need to let my belt out a notch after the amazing almond croissant.
