This is the place where Russell Beard cut his chops before he set up Reuben Hills, Paramount and the Hollywood LA projects. Always excellent in-house roasted beans, finally upgraded menu, fantastic friendly & helpful staff and although the clientele are on the older side, so what? This is Mosman after all, not Bondi, kids. The only downside is there is no ceiling fan in summer and it gets damn hot inside. x
Is this the second location for the Channel 9 canteen? So many newsreaders and Today Show hosts it's hard to get a seat. The coffee is really good but it can take a while to get it as everyone wants their coffees pronto! The locals love this place and plenty of people are busy working on laptops too. The menu is pretty simple but I mean this in a positive way. Toast, muesli, panini, bacon and egg panini, sweet corn and zucchini fritters, dukkah eggs and eggs benedict are all the rage from the all day breakfast menu! There is also a light meals menu for lunch if you are looking for something more substantial. The roast chicken sandwich w baby spinach, walnut and mayonnaise on sour dough is literally to die for!
Best coffee anywhere in sydney and the staff are gems. Food is always great and the cafe is in a super convenient spot, i highly recommend (:
Always have to stop for a coffee when I'm
In the area. Really respect their stuff, well done. The space is a little cramped which is the only downside
Good coffee, and a menu that's kept simple so quality brekkies and lunches can be produced quickly. Add in that there's parking right next to The Source, and you can see why this place is so popular
Awesome coffee and great eggs benny, hollandaise on point and eggs poached perfectly. Only bad thing I can say I prefer the spinach wilted a little bit, but the fact it even came with spinach was nice. There's a 10% surcharge on Sundays. I'll be back for more coffee and to try the sandwich selection!
Mate, brilliant coffee - that light roasted Yirgacheffe was amazing, not to mention the art...The Oasis in the Desert of "So-So" Coffee! We just spent 5 days in Sydney and the Blue Mountains and were getting a bit anxious we weren't going to have that memorable coffee experience, but on the last day, we found the Source :)
Best coffee in Mosman, great breakfast and always warm and friendly service. The smoked trout sandwich is always amazing, you won't regret a visit.
My soy cap was a sweet and rich experience, thinner than normal, and eased over time.
Like any truly great café, the owners of The Source Espresso know what it takes to make good coffee, and in this case personally source it from all over the world. The beans are roasted in house (you can't miss the centrepiece coffee roaster) and you can buy the beans for your home machine. The coffee blend is on the stronger side, flavoursome and perfectly crafted every time (pictured). The service is calm and meticulously executed (there is some sort of coloured dice/table number system going on, see if you can figure it out - I can't - it's a complex barista cipher that works like a dream). The breakfast menu is concise but thoughtful, consisting of berry bircher (pictured) or toasted muesli; poached eggs; croissants; breakfast sandwiches including egg, bacon and relish or tomato, mozzarella and basil; fig and walnut toast with ricotta and honey. Oh my, the homemade mixed berry muffins, I almost forgot about those plump little pockets of raspberry, to die for. Of a similar ilk, the
Saucy. Love the way these guys order their coffees to go out. they use dice and spoons and sugars. they have their own coffee language. great coffee, every time, food is coffee shop standard and mosman priced, but it's a place i go back to after a swim down at balmoral.
Best Coffee in Mosman. The title says everything!
Really Nice Cafe, the Coffee was next level awesome, we the Roast Chicken Sandwich was super yummy, we appreciated the effort to make the low carb salad that tasted amazing, well worth a visit
Fantastic in-store roasted coffee. Smooth and full of flavour, just the right French roast.
My wife and I have been popping in here on and off for several years en route to work. Less so now as we are both retired and live in Nth Ryde but having been today for regular flat whites and a bag of fresh roasted beans the quality is exemplary and consistent. Well done to all the staff there as they continue to serve up the best. Thanks
This is my all time favourite cafe in Mosman. The manager and staff are great and not to mention the awesome little muffins they churn out 7 days a week. Add to this the locally fresh roasted on the spot consistent coffee and you have one of the best in Sydney. Coffee 9/10.
Real good coffee. Like, really good. Be aware, they close at 12 noon each day. Quite a few times I've been looking for an early afternoon coffee and have been turned away.
Really liked the brekkie bowl from here. Quite filling and tasty. The coffee was nice too.
At the behest of a small leprechaun I came to this cafe to search for wealth beyond my imagination. This place provided. I ordered a flat white and a muffin, which is supposedly their signature combo (mine was always down back circle but i was always a reptile main in mk9) but i digress; the muffin contained a huge emerald worth billions of dollars! i choked to death on it and had to waste my leprechaun wish to return to life. Despite this i got to keep the emerald and am now filthy rich, i spend a lot of my money at this very cafe because it's very nice. I got to quit my job as a teacher so that's been swell.
No mess, no fuss; just the source of good consumption in general, both food and coffee. Even when I don't order my usual Anto's Special, I still get one (even when to go)
