Review Grecian Blue - Mosman

Jordi Tom
Absolutely perfect, delicious food that arrived quickly with excellent, gracious service. Dinner outdoors - highly recommend it. Read a few of the other reviews and can’t believe all the broke idiots complaining about the prices (which are all very reasonable). If you have bad taste and no money stay at home 🤣 Anyway, classy joint will be back, thank you very much ❤️

Pretty shocked about the bad reviews here. My partner and his family are greek as well as many of our friends. Grecian blue is a go to restaurant for us. Being in the seafood industry It is not hard to tell the difference between the frozen and fresh squid and I can assure anyone reading this that the squid here is fresh local calamari. We weekly either dine in or get takeaway. The price for local calamari is not cheap compared to that from Asia. It is a shame people are damaging a good small business with these comments. I can not speak of the experience of customer service of the people that have left bad reviews but I find it very surprising as neither I or any other locals that I know personally have ever had a bad experience with Dimitri or any of his staff. Next time someone chooses to dine here the Kefa cheese, fettuccine with prawns and dolmades (vine leaves) are a must!!

We moved to Mosman five years ago and after walking past 100’s of times, my wife & I finally got around to checking it out on Friday night and I have admit prior I checked out the reviews and I was quite amused by Dimitri’s responses to some less than positives comments and having recently utilised Instagram & Facebook for some on-line extensions of our business, I can tell you that it’s quite confronting to read negativity especially when you’re always trying to do your best by your customers and whilst we won’t be adopting Dimitri’s style of response; I can’t help but think ‘Good On You Dimitri’ and based on our experience I will now give you my unbiased review – For Entrée we had Calamari & Haloumi; you can tell instantly it’s not frozen pre-crumbed out the packet and the crumb was delightfully light & seasoned perfectly and the Haloumi was spot on and I can absolutely assure you that for $16.00 you will be getting more than one piece of it – For mains my wife had the Slow Cooked Beef Ragu and I had the Roast Lamb Ragu and both were superb and I say that as someone who cooks a pretty mean Ragu too - For desert we had the Baklava Ice Cream and honestly I could done 2 or 3 portions of that; it was delicious – Lastly I couldn’t fault the service – So my conclusion; if you prefer quantity over quality or don’t know the difference between a quality Ragu or Spag Bol then I’d suggest Grecian Blu is not for you however if you enjoy quality food and are not afraid to pay for it then give it a go.

Grecian Blue is a family favourite of ours! We have dined here for over 10 years. I used to come here with my parents and now I come with my own growing family! The quality of the food is amazing and in all this time I haven't had one bad meal. We always love the calamari, fettucine with prawns and the baked lamb but really we all come for the amazing baklava ice cream for dessert!! Trust me Grecian Blue won't dissapoint your taste buds!

I don’t understand the reviews complaining of the food? I’ve been a customer of Grecian Blue for a number of years and constantly praise the quality of food every chance I get! Every meal I have had here has been amazing; I legitimately can’t fault one dish. Even my partner who normally doesn’t eat lamb has been back for their slow cooked lamb on more than one occasion. This place serves quality food at reasonable prices; if anyone complains it’s because they don’t know quality food!

Great atmosphere for a Saturday night, however the food was extremely overpriced for the quantity received. I enjoy supporting small businesses, but when you are charged $16 for a slice of halloumi, I think some parts of the business could be reconsidered.

Decided to stop in and have dinner on our way home from Taronga Zoo. What a disappointment. We knew the restaurant had been in Mosman for years so we assumed it would be good. So wrong. We started with the calamari - maybe 8 tiny pieces - which tasted as though it was frozen then warmed up. Could not have been more blah.... My husband ordered the lamb skewers which arrived as 2 bamboo sticks threaded with the most anaemic small pieces of lamb atop a pile of soggy chips - Tasteless. In fairness their Greek salad was very tasty. The wine the waitress suggested was good. We can't understand how this establishment has managed to stay in business with its unimaginative and Tasteless offerings. It has a great location and locals would go in droves if they would up their game. Really too bad. Would never recommend it.
