Review Cafe Monstera - Mosman

We were in the area and decided to visit a cafe by the water for lunch. We were surprised by this little cafe literally tucked in a corner of the ferry wharf! We had a pram with us and were worried that they couldn't accommodate us but were pleasantly surprised when we were offered a baby seat. We ordered the waffles and the eggs from the special Celsius menu. The waffles were amazing. The eggs were also delicious but the waffles are a must have and I'm not usually a sweet tooth! The atmosphere was quite relaxing and we enjoyed a stroll around the bay after lunch. Would highly recommend a visit here.

Great little cafe by the water, loved having my coffee and breakfast here on a sunny day. If it had more seating it would be perfect for bigger groups. Would come back again for sure!

Surprised at how good the food was and it's reasonably priced, the vegan option was also priced well. They label the vegetarian options weirdly where clearly vegetarian things aren't in fact, labelled with their (v). But ask some info and they clarified the cauliflower is vegetarian, ask to confirm its vegan because there may be butter on the toast etc. The staff were responsive and friendly, food presentation was spectacular. I've taken off a star because they charge $1.00 for oat milk, like it may seem petty, but honestly it's 2021. You're making an insane profit by charging $1.00 for plant based milks and it's a pet peeve of mine to gouge this price.

Pretty disappointed after coming due the advertised quality on social media. Poor presentation can be excused, notably lesser content is not acceptable. The coffee and chai are decent. Menu also sadly different from website/google.

Second visit, this place really deserves another 5 star review... Tried the muesli and waffles, both perfect. Overall... 10/10 service 10/10 view on Mosman Bay 10/10 presentation 10/10 taste Highly recommended.

The chicken burger and waffles were absolutely delicious and the iced mocha (soy) was the bomb. They use bamboo straws and packaging was also very environmentally friendly. Lovely little spot near the water.

This is such a little gem at the wharf. The menu is great, staff is friendly and they will serve you good coffee. We had the waffles (obviously) and one of the seasonal winter dishes. Both great, and looking forward to coming again.

Was lucky to get a seat and meal before they closed. Friendly staff, nice food and I would recommend the waffles and cappuccino.
I would come back and had a nice waterfront view :)

Brunch with a view is such a great idea on sunny days! And they use ONA beans which is my fav! Owned by the same team behind the Celsius, they do know how to run an instagramable cafe.
This new cafe situated at Mosman ferry wharf is a charming and aesthetically pleasing brunch spot. Pancakes are amazing, coffee is lovely and the decor is adorable.

The service was great! Food was delivered fast and with great presentation. Great vibe and great views. The waffles had a great taste to it and loved the fresh fruit that went with the waffles. Definitely be back.

My Partner & I had breakfast here this morning. I ordered the waffles which were almost perfect. The plating of the item was beautiful which was def something to be admired because it is VERY rare for food to come out looking like it's website pictures! There was plenty of maple syrup provided which is perfect for me seeing i like my waffles swimming in it :P but it came in a seperate jug so the waffles weren't soggy when they arrived. The marscapone was lovely with a nice lemon kick to it. The waffles themselves were nice and thick and the plate was filled with berries. I did find the amount of honeycomb provided a bit minimal but i think this was only because of the amount of flowers on the food. However if you aren't one to eat these it is annoying as they were everywhere. Very filling meal though to the point i only was able to finish one waffle. I accompanied this with a lavender and peppermint tea. It came in a pot which was good because not only did it stay warm but i got two cups out of it. My partner ordered the monstera Breakfast, It too was a large size but he managed to get through it. It came with toast, a fried egg, mushrooms, a green tomato, bacon and avocado but they were kind enough to swap this for chorizo for us which was nice. The meal was very nice and just the right size for my hubby. He accompanied his meal with a cappa made from ONA coffee beans which always go down a treat. Location was not great tbh. It was nice and modern but because it was freezing cold and the place doesn't have walls they should rethink the amount of heaters they have in there. Another negative was that People are constantly walking past to get on/off the ferry but hey what can you do! The place itself kind of had a "upmarket park cafe" feel because it wasn't that large. Whilst the food itself looked and tasted appropriate to the prices i would say that the look of the place kind of pulled the cost expectations down a bit. The staff were very friendly, fast with the orders and did their best to ensure we were comfortable and happy. Annoyingly it was pay at the counter but it was good to see that Cards are welcome for payment. To summarise.... Good Food. Good Staff. Location OK. we will be back.......just on a warmer day.
