Review L'eclair Patisserie - Mosman

Small quaint cafe with beautiful pastries on display. The food was delicious and well presented, the flavours and textures took me straight to Japan. I ordered the udon omelette which was tasty and flavours were well balanced with ginger, smoky katsuoboshi, mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce and soy coated udon. Next I ordered the Green Tea roll which was amazing! The cake sponge was moist and soft, the cream light and the flavours of green tea, cream, egg were delectable.

Friendly service, delicious cakes and good decor. Very lovely place to delect over some cakes, pastries and coffees with friends. Ordered their Uji Matcha swiss roll and NY cheesecake.

Love the Mont Blanc and Strawberry cake! My partner said the choux was tasty. We will return.☺️

I can’t believe it took me so long to discover L’eclair. This Japanese/French pastry shop creates excellent pastries that have that light, not too sweet or too heavy feeling that you look for in Japanese versions of French patisserie. The namesake eclair is ace: the choux pastry has great texture and the filling is just right. All of the cakes I’ve tried have been great: I personally really like the Mont Blanc and the filled choux pastries. I was also really impressed with the strawberry sponge: one time one of my friends got it and was worried he had made the “wrong” and “boring” choice… he was very happy to be proven very wrong. The sponge and whipped cream are airy and not too sweet; something seemingly simple that is wonderful to enjoy 🤗

The strawberry cake is wonderful, just like the ones that you will expect in Japan. Their Japanese coffee and curry are very authentic too.

I haven't had a Japanese strawberry shortcake this good since I was in Tokyo! 🍰✨

Desserts are amazing! Tried the matcha sponge roll and a serving of gyozas, both were great. Lady serving was very friendly too

If you love Japanese cakes like Montblanc and strawberry shortcake, this is place to go in northern Sydney.

A nice little place with delicious Japanese-inspired French Cake. The Mont Blanc Cake and the Macha cake are my favorites. I will have to come back for other flavors soon.

If one is going to call their shop L'eclair, L'eclair better be good. This one was a step below OK on the day, funnily it was better the next day but still not spectacular. Anyway, the cakes are the reason to go here. Japanese style (and Korea has similar style) cream all the way.

Nice & Relaxing cafe. Friendly service. Recommended by staff to had teriyaki chicken bowl and Earl Grey cake. Teriyaki Chicken was tasty and just right. Earl Grey cake was light, sweet and soothing. Good choices! Will come back to try their other creations :)
