Review Burger Shed - Mosman

Josh
Very impressed. The burger was delicious (i mean, look at that thing!). The ice cream shake was also a delight and their truffle fries... superbšŸ‘ŒšŸ‘ŒšŸ‘Œ I'll be back there again soon šŸ˜‹

I have mixed feelings about The Burger Shed. The table we were going to sit at looked like it had been recently cleared, however it was covered in crumbs. The mushroom burger was very tasty and the truffle chips with parmesan cheese had a great truffle taste and I'd highly recommend them. The vintage cheese burger had a very cold bun which took a bit of getting used to. The beef patty was very thin and therefore overcooked throughout. A thicker patty would have been juicier inside and more appropriate for the high quality beef that was used. I added beetroot as it wasn't originally included in the vintage cheese burger. The beetroot was nice, but there wasn't much of it.

Nice burgers in Mosman. Fast service. Had the Smokey bacon burger. Tasted nice had a rich BBQ sauce on it.

It is one of the worst hamburger and chips which me and my husband have ever had in our life. They are having 2 types of chips with the different name but they were same just spread a little bit awful cheese on it. The hamburger was too dry and not delicious at all. I think we just through our money away. šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”šŸ˜”Also, whatever you see in their website or other photos all are fake donā€™t believe.

Not to sure why it only has 3 star as a review score but i think this was definately inbetween 3.5 to 4 so i thought id round up this one up! I had the bbq beef burger with truffle/parmasan fries, it was a good size real beef pattie burger with bacon salad and house bbq sauce and was very good, the only fault was i think the bun was a little to thick but overall still a tasty burger. My partner had chicken with avo and salad and again was a good burger with a nice aolio sauce and some sweet potatoe fries that i think we will pass on next time as they werent the best weve had, but we were there for the burgers anyway!!

Good burger, filled me up quickly. Nice service, very friendly staff. Fries could be better but still pretty good.

What a waste of time and money. Group of 4 adults and 4 kids, everything came out at separate times. The beef burgers first, stone cold. Meat lacked seasoning and the buns were still cold and stale... Chicken was bland and boring. The kids burgers were tiny but the kids enjoyed them. Onion rings were ridiculously over cooked and the oil tasted like it hadnā€™t been filtered or changed in months. The only saving grace were their fries. Luckily we ordered extra to keep us full. I donā€™t think I will ever be back here again, should have gone to charcoal Charlieā€™s.

One of the best burger places I have ever been to, must get the chicken burger and the truffle fries. So much flavour šŸ˜šŸ˜

I usually get my burgers at the place next door but felt like something a bit more gourmet. Unfortunately the service was terrible (server told me both things I ordered werenā€™t on the menu and had to check) and slow. My wagyu beef patty was so well done it was like cardboard and the burger tiny for $12.90. The milk shake was tiny for $7.50 and lacked the ā€˜saltā€™ in salted caramel. Amongst the worst ā€˜fastā€™ food Iā€™ve had. Will never be going back.

North side of the harbour budge and feeling burgers, head on down! Every type of burger to suit all tastes. Crazy specials weekly and happy to accomodate customising your burger to the way you want

Very disappointing for the location and price. We were happy to see gf options, but the buns were really poor (even by regular gf standards). Pineapple was cold in the Aussie burger and hardly any bacon in the Smokey bacon burger. My wife wanted a glass of red, and was given the dregs of two bottles and topped up with a fresh one. Beer wasnā€™t ice cold either. All round let down. Tables and floors also filthy. To be honest, avoid it if you can.

The staff members were very rude and unfriendly. It does not worth your money and time. Didnā€™t like the place. Never go and would not recommend anyone.

VERY UNFRIENDLY AND IMPOLITE STAFF. I didnā€™t like the service, staff and atmosphere at all. They wasted my time. Wouldnā€™t recommend to anyone.

Got bored of eating local foods. Took a short bus ride to Mosman and found a popular Burger store filled with people.

One of the popular chicken burgers and this is a satisfying Burger which filled me up a lot to the point that I cannot not eat for the rest of the day.
Melissa Chan
As the restaurant name suggest, the burger shed does pretty good burgers. I would suggest The Mosman Burger - you can't go wrong with the thick beef patty and bacon combo! Can't say it's extraordinary, but by 2017 burger standards... it ticks all the boxes.

I went there on Thursday night. it wasn't that busy but 2 other tables were full. The menu looks great and we ordered Mosman beef and chilli chicken meal with truffle parmesan fries and sweet potato wedges. taste of burgers were amazing and they represent them well. good portion of burger and chips with really good value specially in Mosman.

In there i just noticed the deal for Wednesday for burger and Fat yak pale ale and chips for $15 which is so cheap and will definitely go there on Wednesday.

Not too bad at all! I over-ordered and then over-ate, but it was a damn good experience. I'm a huge fan of the Southern Fried Chicken burger, its a great cut of meat, but I was a little underwhelmed by the Double Shed (possibly because it's just too much meat). Will be returning because it's convenient for us, but I don't know if I would go out of my way for it.

Typically the best burger joint in Mosman with good service and very clean.
I had smokey bacon burger which was so delicious with Truffle and Parmesan fries. They have Fat Yak on tap with a range of good wines and beer. Strongly recommend this place.

Staffs were very kind and friendly. It's a little far from my place but it worth to spend even extra time going there. I wish there were more branches in Sydney. Strongly recommend this place.....

The food was great! the service was fast and friendly. We were a group of 4 testing the Shed snd Chilli Cheese and we all enjoyed the food! The french fries was very crispy and delicious.

Ducked into the Burger Shed for a quick dinner and I am happy to report things are going really well! Ā Service was friendly and fast, the place was really clean and well managed and the burgers were top quality! Tried the Vintage Cheese ($10.50) which was outstanding with a great squishy bun, quality Wagu patty, double cheese, pickles and shed sauce. My friend had the substantially larger Double Shed Burger ($16.50) with double meat and double cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato....oh, and he added bacon! Ā Great this place is licensed too; Villa Maria Sav Blanc and beers! Love it!

We have had delivery a few times over the last few months and the food has become worse and worse.

The burgers were wonderful in the start, since the first time the chips have been cold and soggy, the burgers have been burnt and most recently I think the burger was sitting around for a while because it was chewy. Inedible.
Bardia.alavi1989
Best burgers in Sydney. The Mosman burger is definitely worth the try, the patty was well cooked and very juicy. The their special sauce is one of a kind, I will be back soon
Issac_eatsalot
I didn't have alot of time to sit and eat but I wanted to have a sticky beak Inside so I ordered a vanilla shake and sat down. Interior was nice and clean which was inviting. Drink was good. Keen to return and try the food
Noo Shin
Perfect place, food and customer service.
New management is great and improved everything.
I really enjoyed my time there and I will back soon.
Alisa
Not that impressed. $8 for "large" chips that was tiny, ordered extra avocado on my chicken salad (which supposedly already came with avocado) and got 2 tiny cubes of avo in total. Not worth it for $40+, much better burger places around.
Shants
Great burgers. Especially love the special sauce. That truffle fries though! Amaaaaaaazing! Go there just for the truffle fries... and I don't even like fries.

We will definitely try this place again. The veggie burger with egg was good and the sweet potato chips were nice. The portabella mushroom burger was good but there may have been a salt mishap because it was very salty.

CHANGE OF OWNER. I just found out today that a father-son combo took over the business and changed up the menu. There was a massive improvement in the quality of their burgers. It's a shame that the current 2.5 rating has stuck since the change. I will definitely be eating there again.
Iluvfood
The burgers were not as nice as they used to be after they changed to the "new menu". The patty was dry when we went there (for the last time). Would probably go back only for the truffle fries. The burger project is better in every way.
Duncanfitzpatrick
Remember that old 'Aussie' hamburger you had when you were growing up...? Well this place has nailed it! Take a trip down memory lane and order the 'shed' burger with chips and a drink for just $15. Hard to beat! Is it the best burger you've eaten, probably not but its not bad.
Onara
We're definitely in "first world problem" territory when we're complaining about the burgers at Burger Shed. With so many gourmet burger places springing up around town, the competition is stiff. So, Burger Shed burgers are good, better than average even. And their truffle fries are sensational. But a better quality bun and a moister, tastier pattie could get people queueing out the door and down the street, as happens at other places
Nicole Eckels
I really wanted to love this burger place, but I feel they need to step up their game, particularly if you spend $75 on 2 burgers, 2 glasses of wine, a salad and a bowl of fries. So here is the specific feedback
Burger patty were over cooked and this ruined the burger. The bun was not super fresh which also ruined the burger. The fries were very good, I would have liked more truffle flavour similar to the best fries I have ever had: (Anthony Bordain's truffle fries at Les Halles in NYC.) The salad was awful and clearly an after thought. Wine was good. If they fixed the bun and the patty cooking, I would come again, but not going to risk it for the money. I'll make my own at home.

Justin North's new burger joint didn't disappoint, we received basically whatĀ we were expecting.
THEJUGERNAUTS
Quite enjoyed the PlanBā€™s burger, disliked Charlieā€™s and Co (overpriced, rude and average) so we werenā€™t sure what we would think of the Burger Shed when we dropped in. Why bring up the two other venues? Its all Justin North ā€“ him of the now defunct Becasse, plan B and the french bistro at Alliance Francaise. We dropped in after hitting 4 frogs creperie so weā€™ve already eaten and it is testament to its deliciousness that we ate everything we ordered. The Burger Shed was great and whoever told us you could smell it from a street away isā€¦ cray. Plywood is so now. The fitout at the burgershed is nice. There is a rustic old stepladder adding some interest. The weatherboarded look is suitably sheddy. Its a fairly simple space with with ply, weatherboards, and that stepladder. They do have $10 eats. Their hotdog and cheeseburger are $10. Burgers are $12 and its cap it off at $15. Cheap and good. The truffled Parmesan fries at the burger shed are great and this was a good sized serve. crunchy

There were a number of small cafes on the main strip but we decided to try The Burger Shed. The idea behind Burger shed is that they serve nice burgers using local and fresh ingredients, prepared on the spot and aiming to give full flavours to the burgers. Run by Justin North (remember the guy that gave the Sydney CBD one of the best $10 lunch burgers ever at Plan B?), I was looking forward to try out this new menu of burgers. As you can see from the menu, the burgers are pretty reasonably priced for the location and there is a variety of items for you to choose from or you can also customise your burger with some of the extras. You can choose to either dine in Ā at their small dining area or get takeaway. There was some special deals if you wanted to get takeaway, but otherwise no difference in the menu items. As they have to cook the burgers to order, if you
Excuse Me Waiter
The sea salt fries paled in comparison and were just too plain, so best to not order these altogether. The sweet potato wedges were nice and thick and reminiscent of the McDonaldā€™s ones , but after trying all three my eyes were still set on the truffle and parmesan fries which were polished off in no time. The Original Shed Burger ā€“ $12 (left) The Classic Shed Burger ā€“ $12 (right) Onto the burgers, we started off with the original cheese burger featuring a grass fed angus and purebred wagyu patty with vintage cheddar, tomato relish, pickles, lettuce and aioli. To be honest, thereā€™s nothing special about this burger, itā€™s just another cheeseburger that tastes pretty average. We also opted for a different type of cheeseburger, the ā€˜Classicā€™ which contained a fullblood wagyu patty with cheese, miso, bbq onions, tomato relish and pickles. This cheese burger was a lot more tasty than the original. The wagyu patty was much more succulent and the caramelised onions added that extra depth of flavour complementing the beef. I couldnā€™t taste an

My ā€˜Classicā€™ Shed Burger comes with a grass-fed Angus and full-blood Wagyu patty topped with BBQ onions, tomato relish, pickles, aioli and melting cheese. The patty is well-charred, succulent and beefy. And the sesame bun passes my pillowy test too.

The Burger Shed is a relatively safe venture for North; lower north shore location with little competition, a small 20-seater, and heā€™s staying in the familiar and successful burger territory. Will foodies cross the bridge for a gourmet $12 burger? Only time will tell. Regardless, the locals are taking to The Burger Shed, which must be a confidence booster for North and Co.
Penguin Says Feed Me
So how does this place stack up? Itā€™s not my favourite burger place in Sydney, but if I was around the Mosman area and was craving a burger, The Burger Shed would definitely be the first port of call.

Great Value $15 Lunch. Popped in for the $15 lunch today. Apparently they've been doing it for a while but not well advertised. Great value - really good quality burger, crisp hot fries and drink (they allowed me to "upgrade" to a coffee). No horrible greasy feeling afterwards - seems like high quality ingredients.

Frozen buns. Cooking burger buns at home on takeaway order as bottoms not fully defrosted . Oops Burger Shed we want to love you but you not nailing it.

Best Burgers in Town. Down from Newcastle for the day, had a burger, excellent service, great meal, friendly atmosphere

Average. It is about as good as grill'd. Decent, but not that great. And 14 dollars for an average burger is pretty silly.

Also there is a place called bacino espresso, a little italian joint around the corner - which makes a burger for 8 dollars that blows burger sheds burgers out of the window.
Simon Walker
Great burgers, good location. This place is getting a bad wrap. The burgers are very good quality. The meat is delicious and the flavour combinations work very well. The chips are delicious.

It is expensive and I get annoyed that the online ordering system doesn't allow me to request my burgers cooked medium rare (they sometimes are but it's totally random)

It must be really hard to make a nice burger.... I am definitely a burger fan (and a burger snob)...try them everywhere and have pretty high expectations. When I saw this place (backed or something to do with Justin North, who knows), I had to give it a shot.

Situated in Mosman, it's a nice spot along the main shopping strip. The interior is rustic and subtle. I was surprised at the prices - most burgers around $10-14, sides $4-$6...I thought it seemed like good value. Sadly, the items don't deliver.

The Vintage Cheeseburger ($9.90) is a decent size and tastes OK but definitely nothing special and not something I'd eat again with other options around. The bun is soggy and lacking flavour, the beef patty is dry and overcooked (with an unpleasant peppery flavour to it), the cheese is nice but overpowering, and the whole item is messy and soggy to eat. It also lacks any flavour complexity - the aioli completely overpowers it and the tomato relish isn't discernable at all.

The sea salt fries are nice ($4)...small-ish serving but also a small price. You'll need one serve per diner. But they're crunchy and fresh. I got a side of aioli ($1) which was a generous serve and had a nice garlicky hit. Also got a few testers from a friend's parmesan and truffle ($6) chips - these were flavoursome but a little overpowering.

Drinks were a let down. $8 for milkshake flavours which they made sound so exotic (like Tahitian vanilla, caramel buttered popcorn etc). We got Tahitian vanilla shakes and they were about 1/2 full, milky (not at all thick), and very subtle flavour. It tasted like an egg flip my mum used to make me for breakfast with bog standard vanilla essence. Pretty disappointing and definitely not worth $8.

All in all, it's not a terrible place...food is OK...but it's not great and not something you'd go out of your way for. There are better burgers around for burger fans (and definitely much better shakes).
Lauren K
Amazing burgers, they were delicious, fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. Tried the truffle fries and sweet potato wedges, delicious as well. Great selection of boutique beers too. We will definitely be coming back!
Pete_40423
Like. Nice little burger place. reasonable price for north shore, good service

Wonderful experience. My wife and I just had 3 weeks in Sydney from Brisbane, and had the pleasure of enjoying a lunch at Burger Shed, Mosman. Brisbane could do with a wonderful burger like that. Tasty, filling, most happy and helpful staff, cold beer, comfortable dining and we can both recommend it to anyone who enjoys an old-style burger, and wasn't brought up on the plastic McDonalds. We'll be back every trip to Sydney. Yummmmmm!!
Glutenfreehunter
Worst Gluten Free Buns. I was keen to try out the Burger Shed when I found out they were gluten free friendly but unfortunately I was disappointed by the worst form of gluten free bread in a bun: soggy and tasteless. On top of that it was burnt. I have experienced other gluten free buns which are great - so they do exist. As a coeliac constantly in search of replacing my old favourites, I hope Burger Shed can sort this out so I can return!

Seriously , don't go there ! I can't believe I actually paid $16 for a very very average burger and literally a handfull of chips !!! The burger pattie was chewy and had hard grissel in it .
Defiantly will not " waste" my money there again !!! What a disappointment .
Pablo
Truffle Parmesan Fries to die for. Had the lamb burger, corn cobs and truffle parmesan fries. I hesitated on whether I had ordered too much as it was a very late lunch (or tea) but went for it anyway. Was not disappointed at all. Truly enjoyable especially the fries. A little drizzle of truffle oil with melted parmesan just made the perfectly cooked fries even more perfect. Yummo. Service was very friendly and efficient. I believe the co-owner (no it was not Justin North) was at the ordering till with the waitress, and even when the lunch special was over, he kindly offered it to me. What a great experience overall.
Don
Change the bun. Was in the area and ordered a small burger takeaway as I did not want a big lunch. Priced as you would expect from Mosman so no issue there. The beef was good although maybe a bit salty. My real beef is the bun. It was dry and tasteless. Frankly I would prefer a wholemeal bread bun than that McRubbish bun. The bun ruined what could have been a really nice small snack for lunch.
Melissa
Incredibly disappointing. Came to the Burger Shed for the first time to get their 'producer' burger- portobello mushroom, grilled haloumi, salsa verde and iceberg. Delicious right? Wrong!!!! The bun was soggy and gross, the mushroom was weird and cut in meat tenders like strips (rather than just a whole portobello mushroom), haloumi was tasteless and the 'salsa verde' was a tomato. Really terrible and I am so pissed off I went out of my way to get one and paid them $12!!! Lousy. Should have gone to Charcoal Charlie's
Crystal Fischer
Sorry to say, but The Burger Shed was terribly overpriced. Chips were cooked well and crunchy, but servings tiny. My chicken burger was okay - nice mayo, but the beef shed burger was full of gristle. What a shame, as we would've come here all the time.
Allencba
Was it the best burger I've ever had? No. It was tasty and quick though (and the staff were nice) and this along with the gluten free options make it worth a return visit. The gluten free buns are really good. Soft and perfectly edible. Almost like eating a regular burger.
Denise
I ate here tonight and it was so disappointing. I had high expectations because there have been a lot of great new burger places popping up lately.

Sadly this isn't one of them. We ordered two shed burgers, one fries, one strawberry milkshake and a ginger mint soda. The burgers came out barely warm, but the worst thing was that the meat patties were full of rubbery gristle/cartilage pieces and the meat had a strong smell that you often get from cheap beef.

The fries were very oily and made me feel a little sick after a few - very crispy though. The soda was overly sweet, without a lot of flavour - way too expensive at $6 - buy a coke instead. The strawberry cheesecake smoothie came in a small glass which was 3/4 full - I expected one of those large metal milkshake cups for $8.

Pretty disappointing experience, there are much better burgers to be had - even Grill'd is a lot better quality. I won't be going back.
Claire Shah
Great spot for lunch!. We had lunch here - found the service excellent (quick and proactive) and the food delicious. Had the chicken burger, truffle and parmesan fries and a vanilla soda. Definitely worth a visit!
Riebe
Quality burgers. I had lunch here, and ordered the Shed Burger, Truffle & Parmesan Fries and a Ginger/Citrus Soda. Loved the burger - full flavoured, soft bun, great homemade pickles. Fries were golden and crunchy but not oily, and I was pleased to see the parmesan was tossed through all the way to the bottom of the cup. Also had a try of the delicious choc pot with praline with lots of pieces of large, nutty praline.
The staff were friendly, brought us water at the table, helped find a highchair, cleared up quickly.
Lots to like!

BAD. Wow. Justin North closes down a few top restaurants and opens up a 'Burger Joint' and it's seriously 1 Star. I give it the single star because the burger at least came out 'warm'.

#1 The burger was 12 bucks. If you're going to charge me three times the price of a MacDonalds Quarter Pounder, at least use wagyu beef as the menu describes it FFS.

#2 The meat was so full of gristle, I wasn't sure if the boot I was eating was missing the sole that was supposed to come with it.

#3 I wasn't allowed to add on some 'late order' fries as the $4 I was about to put on my CC didn't conform to their minimum '$10 spend'.

#4 The table next to us arrived well after us, and yet received their food well before us. I guess that serves us right for getting there early. What fools we are.

#5 The $8 shake (yes- that's right. Effing 8 bucks) was 3/4 full and came in a takeaway cup (the table next to us received glass ones). Cows milk sure is expensive these days when you add some Cottees strawberry syrup into the mix.

Needless to say, we won't be returning. There are so many good burger joints out there in Sydney that it's surprising Mr North has even put his name to it.

1 Star indeed.

You gonna either love it or hate it. Well, similar to jonno, I also found it funny that there are a lot of new sign ups with only one review saying this place is bad, and recommend one of their neighboring shops (note, I didn't say competitor) funny.

This is my first post too, but I am not a lover of the burger shed nor do I take money from them to write this, but, really, you do have to try yourself to believe it.

to me, burger shed has some of the best tasting burgers I have ever had.
100% meat without your regular breadcrumb or eggs in the patties, no MSG added, no preservatives in the buns, what more could you ask for a healthier and tastier burger?

The milkshake there is perfect and the deserts are divine.
(Please people, don't mistake milk shake with thick shake or the soft serves macs selling. may have to check the dictionary what a real milk shake is.)

I have been taking my friends there for a quick bite after work for a few times and never once they disappointed me.

BTW, jonno, all your reviews were negative and details were similar, do you just copy and paste every time you dine out? better get something from supermarket and cook yourself
Hungry Hippo
Good burgers. And excellent fries! hard to go wrong with burger and chips, and the burger shed did not disappoint. great menu to choose from, clean shop with friendly and helpful staff. will be back.
Andy
The Best of the Best. My family and I have eaten here many times since The Burger Shed opened.
We rate the food as the best of the best anywhere. Plenty of food choices, great milk shakes and the best fries. Real value for money. Enjoy!
Nikkibee
Yummo...!. Great burgers, lovely staff, quick service and room for little people!!! the chips were the best i've had since charlie & co.
the federation burger was sooooooooo good! as were the shakes and as i said earlier, the fries were spectacular.
have been back four times already and am planning to go again soon. my new favourite in mosman... nothing better than wandering down the hill to balmoral to lie on the grass and dig in.
great work, guys... keep the momentum building!
Jitterbug_bingo
Delicious!. I went for burgers with two girlfriends. We ordered the shed burger (beef) with bacon and extra cheese, the shed burger, and the federation burger (lamb), with the truffle & parmesan fries, salted caramel shake, chocolate shake & a hibiscus berry soda. You know what? I was really impressed. I love a burger & mine (the lamb) was deliciously tender, full of flavour & balanced beautifully by caramelised onions and pickled beetroot. The fries were crisp, tasty, with the perfect amount of salt and the soda was gorgeous - refreshing and light. I've always been a fan of Justin North's cooking and it's great that he decided to open an affordable neighbourhood restaurant. The floor staff (on the weekend anyway) look like local high school students: again - I liked that. They're not your polished, perfect fine dining wait staff but thay's the point, isn't it? This is a burger joint, people - and it's lively & fresh & fantastic.
Hugh
Terrible. Tasted like Macdonalds. Very disappointing. Give it a try but do not expect much, soggy buns etc.

Burger shed - FANTASTIC!. We were excited to try Burger Shed - as I've always loved Justin North's food. I have to say, I was blown away. It was MUCH more than just a burger bar.

The place was HUMMING with people, a 50/50 split of take-away and people dining in. We tried quite a few different things, as we really couldn't just pick one. We started off with an utterly mouth-watering fish taco - which was among the tastiest I've had, and the parmesan/ truffle chips were UNBELIEVABLE. Crunchy, perfect, and could have filled up on those alone... had it not have been for the char-grilled corn on the cob, and then of course, the Burger. Wow. Not a hint of fatty meat flavour I find in so many burger places - but a wonderful char-grilled flavour and we inhaled it. I also tried the grilled chicken wrap with salad - which is great for those who are looking for a healthier option, and we also enjoyed a lovely glass of red, given that it's licenced!

This ticks all the boxes - the pricing was MORE than reasonable, staff friendly, and the ONLY disappointing thing is that they didn't open it in Melbourne. Hopefully they will :)
Kristine.l.obrien
No Taste and Overpriced. I was really excited to see something new open in Mosman, but was really dissapointed. The burger lacked any flavour. The wagu patty had hard lumps in it. The truffle fries were oily, covered in salt, and a very small serving. These guys need to go down the road to Burgers and Ribs to see what a real burger tastes like.
Tiffany
Yummy burgers and even better truffle fries. As an American living in Sydney, I am always on the hunt for good burgers... So, when I heard that The Burger Shed was opening, I had to give it a try.

At $12 for a burger and $6 for fries, the prices are not cheap, but with most bars charging $16-18 for a tiny cocktail, I'd rather spend my money here!

The burgers were delicious. Not full of onions and other fillers like you find at so many other places and the bun was slightly sweet in a really delicious way. Even better were the Truffle Fries, which I have had daydreams about since and will return for soon.

Service was quick and friendly. So, for a top notch "fast food" meal, I'd recommend The Burger Shed.
.the Feed It Blog.
Paid $34 for 2 burgers, slaw and chips. Some of the worst quality food I've had in a very long time. Wish I had never eaten that bland, fatty, underwhelming rubbish. Don't be fooled by the good branding!
Kate
Loved the burgers. We had takeaway from here and loved it. I think the burgers were great & the chips to die for. I loved the fact that the burger didn't have that greasy after taste that burgers can often have. They tasted really healthy and fresh. I had the chicken burger & my husband had the beef- yummy !!
We will be back soon...
Atetoo Much
Below average. Went for lunch here today and was very disappointed. The burgers were completely boring and lacked and distinguishing flavours. There is nothing unique or special about this place at all and its too pricey for what you get - we ate the Shed Burger, a chicken burger and chips. Ridiculous amount of staff on, most of them just hanging around. It was weird. Worst part of lunch was the milkshake - it was "salted" caramel. There was not taste of salt, barely any ice-cream and it was $8 for a small glass. Such a joke. I don't recommend the Burger Shed. It's flavourless, boring and way too expensive.
Andrew
I hate to say it because I would love to have a great burger joint in the area, but the food was pretty weak. Never a good sign if the best part if the meal was the coleslaw. The place has potential, but the burgers are average at best.
Herpy Derp
Little bit expensive but the quality is good. Burgers were a tad small for $12 but the flavours and ingredients were top notch. A great way for them to save money would be to cut staff, you don't need 4 people between the register and the floor (it only seats 30 max).
Susie
Just another little money spinner. It irks me when an upmarket McDonalds opens in a wealthy suburb. On the other hand, it's a clever move, particularly when you can no longer realise a profit in fine dining. I have eaten twice at The Burger Shed and I can say it is tasty fat but that's all and I have eaten there because it's new, I'm curious about Justin North's new venture, I've been incredibly busy, and I've passed by just when hunger has struck. I am sure the meat is premium quality but, together with the toppings, including aioli, all I can taste is the usual in a fast-food burger. I chose to eat my burger, called The Federation, with Parmesan and truffle chips which taste like very ordinary skinny chips with a substantial amount of salt and a hint of the added flavours. What disappoints me here is the size of the chip and the lack of any distinctive feature. I might as well have gone to McDonalds. I returned, again in a hurry and hungry, and chose to have the Baja fish tacos. The flavour was reasonable, all the more so for the spicy hit, but again the quality was unremarkable. I am embarrassed to say I chose the same chips as an accompaniment but what else is one to do when this is the only burger joint in town, sitting right on the corner where you cross at the lights. One added word of caution: Do not order the Zokoko Chocoate Fudge Shake thinking you will be indulging in something divine. It is an ordinary light milkshake with a fancy name. In spite of all, I will probably be back and this is what they are counting on - hungry, wealthy people who are trapped at the lights.
