Review Koflers Restaurant - Mount Buller

Understand the reviews about location.. but come on $16 for 2 coffees in take away cups with no lids is taking the pi$$... Price for coffee is not written for a reason.. most will wince but pay (I did), . some will list a review like this to warn others. The barista was embarrassed trying to explain the price was not a typo when I questioned her about the charge on her machine..

A food and drink haven in the midst of ski runs at Mt Buller. Hearty warm meals, hot chocolate, mulled wine, hot cider. Love the pea and lentil soup. The kranskys another fave.

Nice little place to get warm and have a quick lunch break when skiing/snowboarding on top of the mountain. A bit pricey for the hot food $22 spaghetti Bolognese but you can’t complain unless you could cook yourself there. Ha.

It's iconic for a reason. Sum of all parts. People that complain about the price miss the point.

Mulled wine and home made apple pie with cream in the middle of a bunch of ski lifts on a mountain is awesome.

This on piste restaurant has a beautiful view of the summit and a good sized deck. Food is ordered at the kitchen and self carried, it is made quickly and the quality is good. They evolve the menu a little and gluten free veg meals are available. The soups are hearty and simple, the pasta is always consistent. The prices are high but competitive. The building is quite worn out but a good refuge in bad weather. The windows fog up and the toilets are accessed from outside. Koffler Hutte has little charm, but is a welcome stop and the outdoor seating and views plus the speedy service make it indispensable.

Convenient mid-ski stop for a quick hot choc. Try their choc shots. Yum. Pure chocolate in a shot glass. Best appreciated if you're a chocoholic. Best hot jam donuts too. Haven't had a main dish, but friends say the nachos is quite the treat.

A Mount Buller institution. Very famous located near the Summit. Great food and drink right in the middle of the ski runs. Is very expensive for what it is - but getting supplies in the middle of the mountain isn't cheap or easy. The ordering process is a little confusing (food inside, coffee outside). Great views of the summit and on a clear day can see for kilometers. Great photo location.

The best place to eat on the mountain during the day. Kransky, nachos, all soups are so good that difficult to choose. And strudel, so yamm! And when it is sunny, there is nothing better than sit outside with glass of real ghluwine!

Great tucker, the beers are cold and the best view on the mountain. 10/10 👌

Food was good, but overpriced (understandably). The young girl behind the counter (brunette with a pony tail) overcharged me after it was rung up by someone else. I brought it to their attention and they returned the money no questions asked. Based on their reactions I suspect it was deliberate. Be sure to know how much your order is so you don’t get ripped off.

I have been skiing for nearly 40 years. When ever I ski the Mt Buller and need a break I head for Kofflers for a world renowned Apricot Mogul with lashings of cream. A belly full of carbs to fuel the legs for a hard day on the sloops.

Can not recommend this place. Had the grossest kransky with dirty meat, it tasted foul/off. And whatever was supposed to be a chili was really crappy mince. Couldn't eat any of it and when I told the wait staff, he just shrugge and went away. <br/>Don't go there!
