Extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Great view. Decently priced food. Nice place to hang out and spend your time. Lovely to see all the lights in Melbourne at night
My husband planned our anniversary lunch at this restaurant. Loved every moment spent here. The drive to the restaurant was beautiful, the ambience was beyond words - we could literally oversee the mountain covered with mist from our dining spot. The quality of food was excellent, the portion size was huge but it was worth the money spent.
The staff were friendly & service was prompt.
Highly recommended if you want to spend cozy time with your loved ones :)
Booked for lunch. Pre paid 2 course set menu inc. a beverage. Social distancing and max people number observed. Service great, staff very friendly. Food was good. Seated on the top floor function room next to the panoramic windows, amazing views across Melbourne and surrounds.
Highly recommend
Was a fantastic place for lunch with a view!
Really nice
Ordering and table placing is a bit impersonal.
Coffee was really nice - smooth and creamy
An amazing experience! Had the best New York cheesecake ever. The view was way above what we expected and the service was top notch. We'll be visiting here for our anniversary and for many more occasions. Great job guys!
Waited for 20min for my coffee once ordered but the wait was worth with the view around us and coffee was extraordinary even during rush ours.
Had our first Christmas in July and it was brilliant. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere and a great day had all by all. We will be back.
It was great experience. I visited this place for the first time and it was wonderful. When we reached there it was somewhat cloudy. But we can see the exciting view of CBD. We went in cafe for hour. The food was good and it was looking tasty.
A recent and spontaneous visit for dinner at the Sky High left an excellent impression! We were warmly welcomed by friendly, competent and accommodating staff. Fireplace, lovely background music, crisp white linen tablecloths, lovely touch of flowers at the table and great view of the city lights. Our waitress knew the menu well and checked with the chef on specific dietary needs. The food was absolutely delicious and perfect size serves; the soup and the curry, hearty and beautifully balanced spices. We couldn't resist the dessert menu either. We will most definitely return, very soon. Good work everyone, its great to to see this standard of food and service return to the Sky High.
We took overseas guests to the Dandenongs for lunch and to Sky High to see the views of Melbourne. When booking I requested a window table and also informed them our guests are on a keto diet. On arrival, they had reserved a window table for us and, the chef had provided special instructions on what we could order and offered to make what was not on the menu for our keto friends. the service was excellent, the food brilliant and we all enjoyed an unforgettable time (and great view) with friends. Thanks Sky High for being so accommodating and making this a special time for us and our friends.
a great place for a gorgeous view of Melbourne. Food was lovely and fresh and a good range of food for an afternoon tea.
Price was also reasonable.
I haven’t had a full dine-in experience here, but their mocha was really good! Its got just the right balance of chocolate and coffee together. The view complements the overall experience.
My husband and I had dinner here for our 1st wedding anniversary. We ordered porterhouse steak and beef lasagna from their special menu. The foods were so good and the view was best eventhough it was abit cloudy to be able to see Melbourne from a far. The staff were so friendly. And we had white chocolate mousse for dessert. The mousse is good, but the praline in it was too sweet and sticky..it stuck on my teeth when i was trying to chew it. It didn't really matter for us, we had special night there.
We have ate here several times and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or the excellent service We would recommend the restaurant for any occasion
Hi SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, I was happy at SkyHigh. It is easy to access with public transportation. The view is amazing. The food is nice. I saw you have a lot of visitors from many countries, and it is not easy to keep it tidy all the time, particularly public toilet and exterior seats. However, you could do better to keep it clean. Thank you for your service.
Great for winter evenings and a cup of coffee! Amazing view and reasonable prices. Great for a weekend drive.
Fries and wedges were great too.
My friends and I celebrated my birthday here with the Sunday afternoon high tea. Lovely food and the staff are friendly. The views of Melbourne and surrounding area from the function room are fantastic. One of my favourite places to go is Sky High and I often stop by for a hot chocolate or coffee in the bistro and admire the views
I love having your great coffee and cakes while waiting to take photos of the sunset. It's the best place to take great photos. We have also spend endless hours with our grandchildren exploring the beautiful gardens.
Magnificent view venue, excellent services, quality of food is reasonably good. The wood-fire furnace was particularly cosy in the winter. We wish the $7.00 car parking fees may be waived even for the 1st timer upon dining at the restaurant at the same visit.
I haven't dined here but had coffee here a couple of times. The best mocha I've had in Melbourne. Service was pretty fast and friendly. They have grwat view too.
We had visited for the night light views in 2017, but on this 2018 visit to Melbourne, booked the Sunday Roast. We found a great atmosphere with a surprise mid winter Christmas theme, crackers and all. Great Christmas style food at a very reasonable price! Great views as well over the countryside, to complement the 2017 night lights view. The associated garden and walks afterwards were also very enjoyable and relaxing. We recommend SkyHigh!
For a restaurant standing at the top of the hill and enjoying the autonomy, it has very reasonable prices and the food is good. You might not have a huge variety in the food, but it is enough to treat your tummy and tongue. The soup of the day is my pick and you won't be disappointed especially in the winters. They have a huge seating space both indoors and outdoors. Some waiting might be needed as this place is always stuffed up.
Fantastic night! Excellent food, views and service! We wanted somewhere special to take a work colleague visiting from the U.S. and we were not disappointed and needless to say he was very impressed. Highly recommended!
Would Highly recommend!! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and plenty of things to see for the whole family. Great spot for a day out and food was delicious.
Great High Tea at reasonable price! Fantastic views and friendly staff. Pleasantly surprised. Even though it is $7 entry to park, a future admission pass is part of the high tea package. The gardens are beautiful too.
If you're looking for an incredible view out over Melbourne then this place is for you! You can watch the sunset as you enjoy a lovely romantic dinner in the restaurant. Food was really tasty and would highly recommend giving the Pork Belly a go! We went for dinner, however you could easily go for lunch and enjoy the views just as much :)
Went there a night with friend. The restaurant only has us, but probably because we were having late dinner that day. The parking is not crowded and my many people were around. It just went really quite. The food is ok and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I gave four stars because of the service.
As most times we couldn’t get in to Miss Marples and weren’t we surprised at the good scones and cream at sky high, will definitely be visiting this place not just for the view!
Celebrating a birthday lunch, we were seated promptly close to the window as requested. Views are fantastic on the clear sunny days and evenings are just gorgeous, having been several times before. The food was very good, ordering the Fish, Chciken Korma and burgers in the Bistro. Drinks were served quickly and all dishes arrived within a short time of ordering, all freshly prepared and delicious. I was quite surprised at he speed of the service given it was a very busy Saturday Lunch, but couldn't have been happier with the food, drinks and overall service, highly recommended and will be returning soon.
Most recent visit was with a group of 10 adults. We were accommodated brilliantly, sat by the window with fabulous views. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious and prompt. We couldn't have asked for more. Worth booking.
Skyhigh was a great venue for our work function, the views were amazing, the gardens lovely and the trip up there didn't take long at all. We were given plenty of time to order, our meals arrived promptly and everyone said their meal was delicious.
Food was fantastic and look amazing, the service was fast, didn't have to wait long to be served or get our meals. Got to see the sun go down and after dessert we were told that we could sit, relax and have a chat if we wanted.. it was a great night for our anniversay
My fourth year for Christmas Dinner. The best. They always have happy staff, smiling and helpful. This year they had made some changes to the presentation, and the buffet. For the better! The Cold foods, included Prawns, Salmon and Oysters for the Seafood lovers, which I am not but the Roasts and vegetables were great. Including a curry and a pasta dish if thats what you like. The salads were simple with a nice range of dressings to suit your individual taste. A good range of desserts that I would think would cover a wide range of tastes. I enjoyed this year the most! They take on board reviews and improve which i think it is good. A nice place to enjoy Christmas!.
My Family and I had Christmes Eve 17 at the Skyhigh Restauant, found the food excellent, service was beyond the normal and prices were good.
This Evening was shared with a 11 people and 4 were missing they were cruising around NZ.
If we have had Christmas Eve at home it would have cost more, preparing all day and then cleaning up after, so it was worth it and all enjoyed a good night.
With unparalleled views of the Dandenong Ranges and the Melbourne skyline, SkyHigh is one of Victoria’s must-visit destinations. Less than an hour from Melbourne’s CBD, this stunning location also houses an award winning bistro which offers Modern Australian cuisine with magnificent views in a relaxed environment.
Good view and great food!
Place is definitely worth a visit although the menu needs a few more additions. The chicken korma needs an overhaul. But the rest is worth!
Awesome place with quality beverages. Also, awesome views of the city..... This is a must see for all visiting Melbourne. Incredible place and so close to the city.
Good place to enjoy a meal on the mount Dandenong. And also it is the only restaurant you can choose. Food is acceptable, but the price is a little bit higher than the food and service. I will come back because I don't have another choice.
View is breathtaking, desserts are not the best but still edible and the staff are sometimes friendly . But that’s all about this place.
Food is below average and the coffee has been burnt the last 3 Times I have been.
But if you bring your own coffee, it’s a great place to sit and look at the view.
We spent the whole day at Sky High with our little girl and she loved the gardens and the maze. Sunset was the highlight, with spectacular colors and views of the city. We highly recommend the place for a day away from the city in the middle of a naturally beautiful area.
Great views of the city to have a delicious dinner , amazing food and service, there is complimentary Limo pick up from your accommodation Monday to Friday, Taxi Saturday/Sunday only $15 from Olinda .. great experience for a weekend away to unwind and relax. Have drinks at the bar whilst watching the sunset.. the menu has a range of everything to choose from.
View from here is great. We had the roast buffet and it was pretty good value considering its location. Not a huge amount of selection but still delicious and we had a great time.
I recently turned 60 and some close friends suggested we go out to the Sky High restaurant for dinner. The sun was setting as we arrived, the view looking out through the panoramic windows was spectacular. We ordered our drinks then our meals. The service was exceptional. Our meals arrived hot and delicious. We then enjoyed sweets and coffee. A great night was had by all. We would highly recommend SkyHigh restaurant to both local and international patrons alike. We look forward to visiting SkyHigh restaurant again.
Took my kids there on a cold winters day - was lovely to sit inside with the warm fire and enjoy hot food and drinks from the cafe. We were lucky with beautiful clear views that could be seen from inside the cafe. The surrounding gardens are lovely, with little bridges to cross as you walk through - and my kids love the little hidden possum door! The maze wasn't open unfortunately so we will be back for that! All in all a nice afternoon out with kids (don't forget to bring coins to throw into the wishing well!).
We have been here many times with the kids, they love the maze and the view is spectacular. We came here one day last year after school and we were able to witness snow sluttering down - it was such an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this place.
We rode up from The Basin and stopped in at SkyHigh for coffee and a snack before returning to Caulfield. Coffee and snacks were great, we were also able to keep an eye on our bikes the whole time we were there which was a big positive.
My partner and I had dinner here for our 1st year anniversary last Friday All in all it was a positive experience The food was tasty and reasonable priced The main courses took half an hour to arrive after ordering Drinks were reasonably priced We didn't get a window seat as requested but were close I would return if we were guaranteed a window seat.
First of all if you are all wondering you can pay for the $6 entry fee with eftpos so save yourself an ATM fee from using the only atm ( anz ) in olinda.
The food was delicious and at a quite reasonable price.. the food that you can see if the photo came out bigger then expected and the salad was fresh.. my wife and I really enjoyed the food and would visit again for the food.
The gardens were not as impressive but still nice.
We had a great Sunday morning breakfast at Skyhigh. The service was great, we had very personal service with great attitude and a smile/joke. We all felt at home and enjoyed the experience. We would recommend to others.
We were staying in the area for our 2 year anniversary (boyfriends' surprise) and we decided to book this place purely based on the views as we wanted to see for ourselves.
First let me start by saying it's nothing to fancy and try as much as you can to secure a window seat as the views whilst eating are quite something that's a given!
The food itself came out quickly which we're not complaining with that's for sure. We both had the crumbed chicken breast which to be quite honest quite a lot of people were ordering and we must say that the food was cooked quite well, everything on the plate was quite delicious, in saying that thought we're not so sure about the crisp prosciutto that was a part of the main meal, but as they say beggars can't be choosers!
We would recommend it on a nice summers day/night so you can get your moneys' worth regarding the view that's on display as it is something else that's for sure!
To be honest we would go back here again if ever we were in the vicinity again, but on a much warmer night that's for sure!
Average food with nice view. Just doing it once as a tourist but can't see any attraction to be here as regulars. It should have been a better place and I think it has good potential to become a finer restaurant if it finds a good direction.
Absolutely fabulous view! And thats probably the best thing about SkyHigh. It's a great location for a romantic dinner but sadly I can't rave about the food. Ordered the wild mushroom risotto and sweet potato wedges. The risotto was nothing special. It came out looking like porridge and was way too salty because it was laden in cheese. The wedges were quite good tho. Overall brilliant location but average eatery.
We just had coffee and hot chips. (There is a bistro section as well). Coffee (which came with a biscuit!) and chips were nice. There is a fire which is lovely to sit by in colder months. You can sit at stools at windows and have a view from lookout while enjoying your coffee.
