Review Gourmet India Restaurant - Mount Gambier

One of my friend said, you must try this restaurant when you're visiting Mt Gambier. From this review I also tried. Food was good, but curry was too salty and they're too busy that took a long time to serve all things together. I won't say it was bad, but from the review i had i was disappointed. Overall it was good as it's the good Indian cuisine in the area.

Such a nice eating place, delicious meals served with good customer services. Only two girls were there on a busy weekend but there was no flaws in services. Dine in was full and phones were ringing continuously, I was amazed how they were handling all. There were some frustrated customers too, I think tourists from big cities (as it was holiday’s period), who couldn’t understand that it’s hard for small country town to handle that many orders and with all that busyness, one should wait. We had to wait for more than an hour for our main meals but worth it. When food came it was so delicious and hot and fresh. Lamb curry was so tender and aromatic, naan were soft and tasty. Really impressed.

Best Indian Food, great ambience, courteous staff and amazing hospitality. Our strong recommendations are for this place. Will visit whenever visit Mt Gambier. Being this place in demand, just have patience and be ready in advance with your orders.

We were returning from Adelaide to Melbourne and stopped in mount gambier. We all were craving for Indian food and were suggested to try this restaurant but we were very disappointed with food. When you so tired and hungry and craving for your authentic food taste is all what matter the most. My kids have to survive on food from woollies as all restaurants were closed by then😞

Indian cuisine is famous all around the world for its spices, flavours and aroma of fragrant ingredients used in a very delicate and delicious way. Once you taste true Indian dish, you will be amazed and refreshed at the same time. But with sad heart I am writing this that, if it's a blend of tomatoe onion curry with bland taste and sweetness like a common desert, and sprinkle of spinach to be called "lamb saag", I would say it to be very disappointing. Had the chance to try this restaurant and let me tell you I was not that surprised by their inevitable response. Their rating on Google reflects their lack of quality in food. The lamb saag I tried was very much in resemblance to a common lamb curry with spinach cut in it like some herbs put on a dish for dressing. Will recommend only to those who do not know true Indian cuisine.

Just had chicken vindaloo and beef vindaloo i asked for extra spicy and was still very very mild , this is the second time I’ve asked for it to be spicy but unfortanily couldn’t deliver , flavours were great but just to mild won’t be ordering again from them , pathetic on there behalf

My partner and I were on holiday from Adelaide and was very pleased they had 3 vegan main meals on their menu. Was very tasty but the wait was long. Will come again next time we're in Mt Gambier
