Review Malaysia House - Mount Gambier

While we were at Mount Gambier we really wanted to try this place as we were looking forward to some Malaysian food. The food was actually great, had some roti to with beef Curry which was delicious and chicken fried rice was okay. The customer service was good and the staff were very friendly. The size of the serve is actually pretty big so you make sure you are starving before eat here. I have been to few Malaysian places before and I have had some of the dishes executed much better so that's why I gave this restaurant 4 stars.

1 star is too generous. I was on hold for over 35 minutes, drive down there whilst STILL on hold, waited for 10 minutes to be served. When mentioned to the staff about being on hold, all she could say was, "I didn't answer the phone, dunno who did that." Incredibly unprofessional, then continued to wait 35 minutes for our food whilst in the mean time, somebody else was given our order. Food tasted like cardboard, wasn't even warm. Waste of time & money.

If you like Malaysian Chinese food then this is a place to be. Great customer service, value for money and wonderful food. Will definitely come back for more! Highly recommended. My first review was extravagant. However, after multiple visits I find that there is inaccuracies in their menus. Roast Pork serves same as BBQ pork, when asked the owner she said ‘its the same thing’. Was utterly disappointed with the response. Change the menu please and don’t deceive your customers thinking they will be getting Roasted Pork. And who puts cucumbers and bean sprouts in fried rice? This is not common in Malaysia or anywhere else for that matter.

Told me 35 minute wait. Came back 25 minutes later as I only ordered rices and they left me sitting waiting for another half an hour while my food just sat behind the counter the entire time (was there before I got back as no food came out while I waited), I understand it’s a busy night but that’s not good enough. I only caught on after people who came in after me were getting their food. 55 minutes wait for cold rice, which was extremely bland and flavourless (vegetarian stir fry and coconut rice)…… Won’t come again.

My first ever bad review. Service was fast but food taste was terrible. Embarrassing to Malaysian food, Fried rice, char kueh teow and hokkien noodles was so bad. No taste and not at all Malaysian style.

Good quick meals, too many items on the menu makes it hard to choose. Eat in or take away. Average prices.

The foods here are so amazing! They are all fresh and generous. I and my friends will come back definitely. The staff is so kind. Thank you.

Fantastic meal. Highly recommend. Big serves, value for money.
