My wife and I just had our surprise wedding/reception on Saturday afternoon/night. Peter, Helen and their team did an absolutely exception job hosting our reception, nothing ever was a drama, extremely friendly, and every single one of our guests mentioned how accomodating and spectacular their customer service was.
Even when we ended up having 2 extra guests who weren’t accounted for, they quickly arranged seats for them and had them included like there was never an issue.
Food was absolutely exceptional with multiple requests from my guests asking if I could somehow get the recipes for their beef cheeks which melted in your mouth, 10/10 for the food.
Honestly if I could some how give them 6 stars I would because they well and truly deserve it, and cloverlea cottage will forever have an extremely special meaning to my wife and I, who will return for many of their delicious meals, coffees and the breathtaking views.
Once again, thank you so much Peter and Helen.
Haico and I had our wedding reception at Cloverlea in October 2017. It is a wonderful gem of place with spectacular views. Peter and Helen were wonderful hosts and Helen was very helpful sorting out the menu to include various dietary requirements of our guests and even with printing our menus to incorporate the design I had on our name cards and gift tags. The food was delicious! Helen and Peter set the tables and looked after arranging the table decorations that I supplied and made Cloverlea look wonderful. We had the reception we were hoping for and a beautiful breakfast there the following morning - while they were setting up for another reception!! Our guests all said how much they enjoyed the venue and the food. Thank you Helen and Peter for helping to make our wedding day so special. We will definitely be back.
Discovered this little gem while driving through the mountains today. Wow! The views were amazing. The food was superb. And the array of bird life just topped it off. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Well worth the drive, we will definitely be back.
Wow... just loved this place today!! Table service is a nice touch and owner is lovely. Best food, great selection and good price. With the 1.5hr drive, It is worth the trip. We will be back. So nice hearing all the birds!!
Thanks
It is a very nice cottage situated on the side of a Mount Glorious with the view to Moreton Bay and the ocean. The view is fantastic as are the host and hostess of the cottage, with fabulous food, service, staff and great wine.
Would highly recommend to all my friends on Facebook to make time when traveling in the area to visit Cloverlea Cottage.
This little place has been there for many years and whenever I do this drive I make a point of it to go here for a pit stop, beautiful fluffy scones and great coffee
The wonderful cheerful staff , brekkie delightful with the lemon delicious to die for not too sweet just perfect , been here a few times now always a great relaxing experience
What a beautiful hidden gem. Views to die for. Friendly service. We had a large bowl of tasty wedges and the dessert of Apple Pie spring rolls and sticky date pudding and coffee was delicious. Definitely going back to try other items on the menu.
I ordered haloumi salad with calamari - it was superb! Fabulous views and fast, friendly service. Well and truly worth the drive to Mt Glorious.
Wonderful experience. We have been a few times now and each time the food is great, staff friendly and great with kids, and the view is spectacular! I would highly recommend.
My husband and I are regulars at this beautiful spot. Peter goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Great food and even better customer service. Would highly recommend.
Great food, great view and really helpful and friendly service and staff highly recommend it!
Love going up here beautiful place and views food is also great friendly service
Don't listen to the negative reviews. This place is a hidden gem and we were fortunate to stumble across it by accident. We normally have our breakfast in one of the other restaurants in Mt Nebo/Glorious. The views is great and the food just as good. They even make a great hot chocolate with is a hard thing to do. Loved the food and view so much I will be a regular customer even if it is double the distance from The Gap compared to my usual haunt at Boombana.
Absolutely love this place. 45 minute drive from the city. Amazing views, delicious food & fabulous service. Also, it's 6 degrees cooler than the city = bonus in the hotter months.
The owner is switched on and is aware of the customers and makes sure you are looked after and have all you need. The beef rib pie special was pretty flavoursome and the side salad/garnish was dressed well and worth having on the plate. The BLAT was really tasty with plenty of crispy bacon. The scones were fantastic - even if you drop in on your country drive just for tea/coffee (make sure it's an extra shot) and some scones - it is totally worth it.
The menu is concise, though today they were offering a beef rib pie as the special. The price is where you would expect when they have so little local competition, but in Bris you may expect to pay a little less for the same thing (and the 15% holiday surcharge is kind of expected now, but it still stings).
Loved everything about this place...bf took me here for a afternoon lunch and it definitely didn't disappoint. Haloumi salad with calamari 😋 and the staff were great! Can't wait to make the trip back
Beautiful. Under new management.
Fantastic food.
Amazing view
Will return with friends
Fantastic!!!!. My wife and I eat here at least once a week. Great views, great location, very reasonably priced menu and wonderful food. Much prefer this restaurant to the many overpriced and pretentious cafe restaurants closer to Brisbane cbd. Service fantastic too. My absolutely favourite restaurant for lunch (shame they don't do dinner but understandable bearing in mind their location, perhaps Saturday nights, hint , hint). Booking on a weekend is not a bad idea because we are certainly not alone in loving this hidden gem. As Molly says " do yourself a favour" and enjoy !
We arrived for lunch at around 12.30pm and the cafe was very busy. The service was friendly and we were informed upfront that we would wait around 30 minutes for food. We found it difficult to choose from the excellent menu. The waitress was quick to take our order to get our party of 3 in before a large group. My haloumi salad was made fresh and worth the wait. It was huge and very tasty with a scattering of thin, crisp sweet potato chips for crunch. My partner ordered beer battered flathead with wedges and salad. There were only a few wedges and plenty of salad so healthier than most places that fill the plate with the cheapest food. Overall it was a generous serving size and was described as delicious. Our son had a ham and cheese pizza and declared it the best cafe he'd been to (and he's been to many). The cafe is currently for sale and we only hope that the quality of the food and the friendly service continue as we really couldn't fault it.
Beautiful views over Brisbane and out to the sea. Staff are always friendly and the food is great. Highly recommend it.
Great view and an easy drive from Brisbane. Food was excellent. Only disapointment was the small serve of the starters for the price.
Great riding area but watch out for police and sneaky cameras.
Seating is both available inside the cafe or outside.
A well known haunt for motorcycle riders and as such can become a bit crowded.
Service is usually quick and trouble free.
Has toilets.
Has a motorcycle service stand where you can clean your visit etc
wow what an absolute little gem of a Cafe, we ordered a traditional breakfast and a BLT ,, best breakfast we have ever had, perfectly cooked, chips amazing and poached eggs were perfect, the drive up the mountain is amazing definitely worth a early morning Sunday drive just for breakfast!!
Only had a coffee in mug, good size mug too. The food looked excellent and I heard no complaints, busy but the service was quite quick. Very popular with motorcyclists.
As a motorcycle rider, as well as loving the mountain outdoors, i would go here every other day for great coffee and food, if i could.
Truth be told, it would such a great local place to own.
Milkshakes, burgers n chips, lasagne n parmy. Limited but awesome lunch menu n awesome staff. Have always avoided previously cause there are so many bikes out the front but today came just before close n was quiet. Relaxing
Had a wonderful encounter with a beautiful animal at the Cafe. I relocated the creature for the girls in the cafe
If you have a bike, get yourself here for a bucket of coffee and biker special brekkie!! Never fails to hit the spot :)..
Update.. still my regular spot for a good fed and a great coffee.. great place, great coffee, great bacon butty.
Great vibe, frequented by lovers of bikes and the road, really good coffee, adequate snacks and nibbles and good prices. Service was friendly and that just topped a great Sunday ride
