Review Paninnis - Mount Gravatt

I love Paninni’s, the atmosphere is really laid back and the staff are friendly. The pizza and pasta is delicious, with interesting flavours. It's a good place to come with friends to have a few drinks and talk about the day. I recommend it!

Dined in with my partner and little dog tonight on the 22nd of April. The staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming and chit chatty. Our dishes were delicious and my partner loved the bolognese sauce in his pasta. The tiramisu was creamy, sweet but not overly, moist, and just perfect. Thank you for making us feel so welcome at your restaurant. Our little doggy was so spoiled with pats and treats. 3 very full and happy amigos. We will definitely come back and recommend this little hidden gem. Love the renovations.

Great experience right from walking in to ordering… staff are super friendly and service was awesome.. the waiter suggested to my wife he would surprise her with an awesome cocktail - risky offer, but he certainly came through with the goods … the pizzas were awesome - 10 out of 10 - crust level was awesome and the pasta was awesome too I love little family run businesses in the suburbs who deliver a superior food quality and a service level that blows away most high end resteraunts Pretty sure this is now our new local :)

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend 👍

The most amazing truffle pizza and pasta you could get. Granted the wait can be a bit long on busy nights, but they do everything they can to accomodate you and the staff are so lovely

Fantastic service! Daisy was spectacular (remembering all our orders the legend!) was very nice and happy to joke with us! The manager or owner (the guy with glasses) fantastic too! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! Added bonus the food was delicious 🤤

Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. We loved listening to Luca as he explained the specials and he is hilarious! We ordered 3 pizzas, 2 pastas, 1 main, 2 entrees and 3 desserts, and they were ALL so delicious. We've come here 4 times already and will keep coming back. Highly recommended!

Amazing fresh food, lovely accommodating staff, great atmosphere, good menu selection!! The fairy lights out the front create such a cute and quaint vibe travel here from inner city for the pizza 10/10 would recommend

Very impressive local Italian restaurant. Mark who is the Host has a real commitment to service and when we arrived we felt very welcome. We started off with the bruschetta, which was nice and fresh, and it was great that even though we ordered 1 serving, there was 3 pieces which was one each. Mains arrived around 15 minutes later which was perfect timing. I had the Greek Salad, my wife had the fettuccine with chicken and my son had the large pizza. All agreed that the meals were excellent. Great food, service and atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

Best pizzas on the southside! The shop is tucked away but once you get there you won't be disappointed. The boys running the show are extremely friendly, funny and genuinely put love in the food they make. No matter what I've ordered always been pleased and keep coming back ❤

Fabulous food, great ambience, young friendly happy staff..BYO
The food is fresh, tasty and made on the premises ..no bought in lasagnes or pastas ! The wood fire pizzas are thin crust & delicious..made fresh for you whilst you wait, the best on the south side of Brisbane 🙌

Disappointing tonight. We pay $35 for a large Calabrese, and normally it's worth every cent, but tonight's pizza was horrible. Smaller than usual, no ricotta and the base tasted like cardboard. Sooooo disappointed. We're regular customers and we want to come back so I hope this is just a one off mistake of a pizza, and not the result of some permanent change to recipe or method.

Food was great..dont expect much different products on pizzas.... italian pizzas... Good service...garlic bread was different to what i expected but still very nice. Enjoy every mouthful.

Where my pasta lovers at? I was craving pasta tonight and nothing else would suffice so I did a quick search on Google and came across this place literally 5 minutes drive from home. After reading a few reviews on how great the pizza was I thought I'd give the place a go. I'm so glad I did! I've found it near impossible to find decent pasta (especially takeaway) anywhere in Brisbane. So stoked I found this little gem so close to home! Would have given a 5 if it wasn't for the wait to get my food, but it was totally worth it and the staff were very friendly. Will be back very soon.

Second visit. We ate in this time. We ordered the lamb pizza which was devine, and a small between the two of us was the perfect amount for an entree. For mains I ordered the seafood fettuccine. After asking what seafood was in it and being advised it had muscles I was going to change my selection, but the owner said he could make it without muscle which I appreciate as alot of places wont do that. My partner ordered the mushroom & blue cheese penne. Both were beautiful. Pasta cooked perfectly and both sauces were rich and super tasty. The meals came out super quick this time too. Great place.

Due to a very positive review from Suzie Lee, I had this place bookmarked, and finally got a chance to go for dinner with Mrs Kan Do. Thank you Suzie!
We entered to the aroma of wood fire cooked pizza that filled the small restaurant, and this got our appetite going.
We ordered a pizza calebrese first. Unfortunately, the friendly young owner seemed to have a few struggles with maintaining the high heat required for the wood fired oven, consequently this slowed production of what is already quite a small production facility.
So it took about 35 minutes for us to get our pizza calabrese, fortunately it was worth the wait. The pizzas had the thinnest base I have seen on a pizza. It was perfectly baked and crisp. The toppings were also done very well, with a good selection of flavours. It could have been a little spicier, but that is just my personal preference. I would rate this pizza a 4-4.5.
Due to the thin base, we didn't feel completely full after the first pizza, so we ordered the '4 seasons' pizza.
This one took about 25 minutes for us to get. It had the same perfect base, but a very different variety of toppings. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the artichoke, prosciutto and salami sections were all delicious, but not quite as nice as the calabrese. We had a few pieces leftover which we boxed and left for the next day. Overall I would rate this pizza around a 4.
The young owner was very apologetic about the wait times and offered us a discount on the price without us asking as we had not taken up his earlier offer of complimentary drinks.
This is a small, cheery restaurant with high quality food tucked away in suburbia. I feel the pizzas are a little pricey for what they are despite their obvious quality, but I do look forward to coming back and trying the cevapi, the sudzukice and the seafood pasta next time. These looked delicious (on the tables of other diners) and appear to be priced really well.
On a subsequent visit, we ordered their bruschetta, cevapi and a calebrese pizza. Each dish was provided to us quickly and cooked perfectly. This is a great little restaurant.

BEST PIZZA EVER BEST CEVAPI EVER .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hidden Gem!
This restaurant in a quiet suburban shopping strip serves surpisingly good wood fired pizzas. We love the thin crispy crust and good quality toppings. The kitchen is run by a professional, relaxed young Eastern European team and they also produce some Eastern European dishes as well as salads and pasta. We've tried the Cevapi (skinless sausages with onion and sour cream) and Sudzukice (veal sausage with paprika relish, onion and sour cream). They are served in half a somun (a soft chewy flatbread) and are delicious. We give a big thumbs up for their goat cheese, rocket and mushroom salad too. The service is efficient and friendly and we thought it was good value for money.

Really lovely food and service. Ordered a large pizza, garlic bread and a coffee, all of which was delicious. First time to this restaurant and pleasantly surprised.

Very disappointing night. No one else was in the restaurant when we turned up. Took 40 minutes for first pizza to turn up, 20 minutes later chicken breast arrived, a further 20 minutes 2nd pizza turned up, 4th persons meal arrived about 10 minutes later. Chicken breast was extremely dry with no flavour at all and the salad was just leaves, a heap of red onion and 2 slices of red pepper. Nothing was done about the poor quality of the meal, just a sorry or the wait!
Will never go back

I absolutely love this place. The four season pizza is a standout particularly the artichoke pizza.

They also have a beautiful mushroom salad and pasta. Unfortunately I have moved from Mount Gravatt East but my partner and still like to travel there for dinner.

Love love love the chevaps, so delicious! We always go back for them.. Best to order ahead as you may have to wait a bit. Pizzas are made wood fired and also great. Staff are maybe not the friendliest but man those chevaps are amazing.

Love this place run by a hard working Bosnian couple. Surprisingly their thin crust pizzas are up there with the best in Brisbane. They also have some amazing East European dishes. Take cevapi (skinless sausages stuffed inside a half loaf of bread with sour cream and raw onion on the side). The first time I saw this I was extremely dubious but now we order it every time so that friends can try it - simple and delicious. Salads are also excellent. The lady also makes home made desserts when she has time and if they are there they are terrific. It is only small so you need to be patient if it is busy (often it's not) but bring a bottle of wine as it is BYO. You can sit inside or outside and the street is usually quiet.

Service and meals took a while even on a quiet Sat night. No kids meals or options which is a little disappointing for this type of restaurant in the burbs. Food good but not great. Pizzas a little salty.
Gloria
That cevapi dish was gigantic (but I still managed to devour it!) so flavoursome! The coffee is a bit too bitter to my liking, but it's just the roast they use so that's no biggie...

Wow. Now this is food.... wanted some comfort food and did I get it or what. Totally agree with most of the reviews already written up, hence I checked it out. Except not sure about the comments preferring Domin's?? Domin's does not even come close to these pizzas. Bases are made fresh and thin, loads of toppings and you can choose to add or take away or swap ( no additional charges :)).... quality ingredients that complement each other. We have been back since our first time and my favorite pizza is Mediterranean... explosion of sea flavour... amazing. Owner are friendly and more then happy to accommodate, always a good thing :)... we are definitely becoming regulars :) highly recommend checking this place out.

Absolutely fantastic!! I've looked for a proper Bosnian restaurant since leaving Melbourne 14 years ago. The Burek, Cevap and Bosnian pizzas are the real thing...just what I recall from Bosnian mates grandmothers cooking years ago! Have been there twice over the past two weeks and the service has been great. The two owners are attentive without being overbearing! I'm looking forward to many more visits and am so happy with finding proper Burek!!!!! Anyone who knows the proper flavours or would like to try them shod definitely pay a visit to Paninni!!

Best wood fired pizza in Brisbane hands down.. The title says it all. Amazing. Try the Al Fungi pizza and the Capricciosa, amazing base and the perfect amount of toppings. Also try the cevapi.

I would rather eat a dominos Pizza. Absolutely disgusting!
Lance Dickeson
Jack got a pizza there.. Jack says he would rather a dominos pizza

Finally a top shelf European pizzeria in our local area and not some Aussie quiche/pizza with more topping than a Shepard pie! Will be back

Excellent service and wonderful pizza and Eastern European dishes.

Amazing pizza... perfect crust, delicious toppings. Will definatley be returning

This is very good pizza. Everything about it is good. On the weekend be sure to call during the day to order your pizza ahead of time for the night. This restaurant doesn't really operate in the traditional sense. On busy days call with the time you your pizza. It will be ready when tou ask and then stay to eat or take it away. Not conventional in that sense but doesn't matter when the food is so yummy.

Hmmm. Well we rocked up one day and the lady was spraying huge amounts of bug spray into the air... in front and behind the counter. an instant put-off. walked right out and went elsewhere.

The best pizza we've eaten in Brisbane! Our favourite is napolitana. I'd give them all stars :)

Sunday Brunch. Almost deserted today when we arrived and I have no idea why. Excellent service, excellent food. Highly recommended.

The quattro formagi is simply the best.

A little shop tucked away in the suburb, ive been living in Holland Park for 7 years & only just found about about it and it's literally two minutes drive and a few streets away! When we got there it was around 6pm and lots of tables were free luckily, as the place started filling up a half hour later. Pizza was AMAZING!! very tasty. Owners are lovely and he put the outdoor heater on for us when we sat down outside :) we will definitely be back for more yummy pizza!

Disappointed. Having booked a table for Mothers day in advance,we turned up to the restaurant and there was no seating left.. The women, who I would assume is one of the owners, looked stressed. Rather than an apology, the other owner, a male, insisted on making up a table for six inside the restaurant which meant we would be touching elbows with the other partons. we left to go to the ever reliable Pepperonis at Wishart. Because we advised that we rather go somewehre else than being crammed into the restaurant, the owner seemed unimpressed with us rather than apologising for their error in giving away our table. Mistakes happen however the owners attitude left much to be desired and we will not be going back there. .

Great meal!!. Just got home from here tonight after reading the reviews on here as I was really in the mood for wood fired pizza. Have lived in Upper Mt Gravatt for years and did not even know this place existed.

Had the polo 15" pizza and they were only too happy to take the avocado off and add salami.

Although this place might not look much, and there is only a limited number of seats, the owners are wonderful and the pizza is to die for!!!

I can not recommend this place enough. 10/10 for taste and quality.
Lisa
Love it!!! So pleases to have Found this shop a week ago.

Quality Food!!. Brisbane's best pizza's by far, a good selection of Italian and very tasty Eastern European Dishes.. I go to Paninni's at least once a week and have never been disappointed! 10/10.

Wonderful Flavours. This quaint little restaurant / takeaway is a bit of a surprise package. Freshly made bases and quality ingredients combined with the unique woodfired cooking style make for rather excellent pizzas.
Cheerful husband & wife team running this small shop with friendly service and outstanding food. I can see this being a regular haunt :)
Nina
Love Paninni's great food and service. Especially grilled chevapi (bosnian mince meat 'sausages'). Yum!!!

Wow, one on the best Pizzas I had in years. The Base is thin and home made, just perfect. The Quattro had amazing balance of flavour with the Gorgonzola the real hero. From the outside the resturant does not look inviting at all but the pizza makes up for it.
Michael Watson
Great Pizzas. Large pizzas are a delight. Very affordable for what you get, with quality ingredients.

Great food and service. I heard good things from friends about this restaurant so I went tried it for myself. It was refreshing to go to a takeaway style shop and get quality food. It's not in a high traffic area but I really hope more people get to experience the delicious pizzas and other Croatian style food they have to offer. You will also be pleasantly surprised at how affordable their menu is.
