AMAZING!!! It's now under NEW MANAGEMENT, the decor , the ambiance, and the beautiful friendly staff that greeted me when walking in the door was lovely! I even made the effort to ask for the owner to congratulate new ownership and the wonderful staff she has. I then had lunch and afternoon tea WOW!!!! Absolutely beautiful once I was ready to leave I then purchased lunch and afternoon tea for the next day and it was so fresh , healthy & yummy all in one! Thankyou everyone at the Bodhi Tree i will be back for lunch very soon! Xxxxxx

The Bodhi Tree is a tranquil place to have a coffee a/o something to eat. The Bodhi Tree is a place to hide away for a while, to re-energize. Regularly my husband and I spent sometime at the this book cafe enjoying the cafe's produce while playing a game, which is on every table.
The books are predominantly, dvds and cds for sale are about well-being, mindful living and anything else to make the mind and body thrive, of both adults and children.
Yes, there's a children's corner/play area too. Patrons sit behind their laptops or have a chat; patrons read a book or watch the world go by.
The food is pleasant, the coffee is fine, the people working in this gem of a place are truly friendly.

I have been to this lovely cafe a number of times now and keep going back as it's a welcome oasis of calm. There isn't loud music blaring out of the speakers so it's possible to sit down and actually have a conversation. Love that there are so many vegetarian and gluten free options on the menu too, and it's all wholesome and tasty food. And the service is exemplary. I took my parents today and there was a slight mix-up with my order. One of the meals didn't get put through to the kitchen and so only two of the three meals came to the table. The counter staff were so apologetic (even though it was a simple misunderstanding and not their fault) and super efficient. The chef quickly whipped up another meal right away and it came out to our table only a few minutes after the others. Thank you so much chef! That was despite the cafe being busy with the lunchtime crowd, so I really appreciate it. And the best thing is being able to browse the great collection of books + gifts after a satisfying meal. Keep up the great work! I will definitely be back.
Wow, The Bodhi Tree is.fantastic. This is.my most special place to visit and i have been visiting.here for.years.. I love the new menu and.it.is.so.healthy too. Just.tried.the delicious zucchini salad and.the.tumeric latte with.almond milk was.even.better than the one i make at.home. It is really.helpful having.these great milk alternatives! Love the.books in.here, all the staff and the.place.of.course has a wonderful vibration. Jen, the new.owner, is.such a.shining light and putting in such a great effort. Everyone should.visit this.place for a.drink with friends, for lunch or.to browse through the.books.

Off to the Bodhi Tree again to meet a friend. Love this unique little bookshop cafe where you can have a cuppa or lunch and the food is always fresh and healthy whatever you choose. My favourite is the vegetable patty with salad and I love their chai latte....check it out
Is it a bookshop or cafe? I pick bookshop. There wasn’t even a menu. The does not mean it is not a good place to go for a drink and catchup, quite the opposite. It is nice to find somewhere a bit different, with a bit of character. I enjoyed the eclectic mix of tables and chairs placed among the bookshelves, and mugs that seem like they were bought from the op shop across the road.
Love , love, love this place... Coffee is really good...and the ambience is amazing..it's so good to be in a book cafe...the food is a bit overpriced... Had the sandwiches and they were delicious... It's my most preferred cafe when I want to escape from the crowd and noise... Will recommend it to all!
Love love love this place! It's very well priced in comparison to other vegan friendly cafes/restaurants but the food is very comparable if not better! The zucchini pasta is gorgeous, excited to come back and try the other options.
Great. I can only comment on the coffee, but my soy cap was fantastic. I love the idea behind this place...bookshop come cafe. I look forward to trying the food and the freshly squeezed juices.

Nice place. I go past this place every week and kept thinking old ladies hang out here. But, I was invited by a friend to coffee and he recommended this place. I was completely wrong about this place. It's a pretty cool & cosy place. It's a book store and cafe with really comfy chairs and couches, where you can sit for hours catching up with friends. The sandwiches, coffee and cakes were really nice. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Wow!. This is the most extraordinary place I've been to. It is a breath of fresh air - feels like coming home the minute you walk in the door. Excellent coffee, fabulous healthy food, with lots of gluten-free and raw options, and a bookstore to die for. I LOVE IT.
Good hangout place. This delightful little bookstore and cafe combined together has great service and healthy food as well as juice and yummy desserts. It's also a great place to sit down with your computer during lunch hours or catch up with friends.

Pick and choose your preferred seating from couches, table for two, or a small group or the 'throne'. A very welcoming environment surrounded by esoteric books, yes, very pleasant and relaxing - definite return when I'm next out this way.
This quiet book cafe...appeals to me as weekend brunch destination as it’s never as bustling as many of the trendy breakfast spots around town...The breakfast choices range from the usual bircher muesli to toasties to a few more innovative choices like corn and potato rosti, and Moroccan beans. Not an egg in sight. The rosti caught my attention with its topping of chopped tomato, crumbled feta and fresh herbs, and it proved a good choice, though it wasn’t rosti in the traditional sense. It was more a pancake with potato and corn, but that’s just me being pedantic about rosti again. The crumbled feta and fresh herbs added some zing to this dish, and it was light enough to leave room for a little something else later on.
It was pouring with rain one Sunday morning and I wanted to find a cosy warm cafe to sit back and relax and be protected from the cold and windy elements of the outside.. I found the Bodhi Tree 🌳 book Cafe located in Mt Hawthorn and it ticked all the boxes for me in that it was a warm cosy space that served delicious wholesome food and also hot chocolate cacao. If your gluten free you will love Bodhi Trees menu it is predominately vegan and gluten free and did I say delicious as well.. Wander around the book Cafe while you wait for your breakfast or brunch and coffee to be served and you won't be disappointed by the treasures you will find in this place.

Great atmosphere, great iced chocolates (ask for cream on top) the place has great cakes as well. I was impressed how there was so many people in this place at 11.45am on a Friday morning. Service is 👍 it’s a bit “bookstore - ish” and a “older” clientele but nice.
