Outback At Isa Cafe - Mount Isa - Photo album

Thoroughly enjoyed this experience with Ian as our guide. It was the first time I'd seen the mining process firsthand. It was interesting to hear the history and the discovery of the deposits as well as the evolution over time related to mining and the town of Mount Isa. Also spent lots of time look
Enjoyed, the fossils' experience and the museum. Entry price $25 with it being Easter weekend. Normally $35. We spent about 2 hours in total
Awesome visitor centre and museum with awesome history of Mt Isa, the Mt Isa mines and fossicking history. Awesome art exhibition for free as well.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to complete all the tours but what I saw I enjoyed. The staff were friendly, very helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits. Had a great breakfast admittedly a late one at the Cafe too. Looking forward to going back to complete the tours.
Excellent mine tour, fossils interesting, outdoor garden and lake area superb. Good value place and very happy helpful staff.
Interesting display of mining history very well presented. Indigenous history, stories and names not absent, but superficial "tick a box" level. Low meaningful engagement clearly absent on plant labels, with hardly any providing original names. Good opportunity for a reconciliation project!
It has to be the best town information centres I've been to in any Queensland town.
Amazing exhibits and displays and interesting presentations.
