Review The Meatball Bar - Mount Lawley

Karlea
Service was really good, the waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was nice, the fish came with 3 balls that were a little strong in garlic flavour. Would definitely go back again

I had driven past this place many times but never thought anything of it until friends booked a group dinner. I honestly can not wait to go back for more. The meals were so delicious and the cocktails are to die for. So many different types of meatballs and arancini style balls.

Went in on a Friday night with 2 friends. Was a little sceptical at first - the place was fairly busy and very loud. Anyway - the food I can't fault - delicious. The cocktails came out in very timely manner and were so yum I went for seconds. Only down was - could appreciate more attention at the table taking drink orders. When we got in, we were seated and asked if we wanted water, to which we said "yes, please". Second waitress passing asked us if we wanted water and again we said yes. When a few minutes later the third waiter stopped by to ask ... Anyway, bottom line - easy sharsies. You'll like it if you lile meatballs or just meat. Vego Warning - 2 out of 3 vegetarian options contain cheese made with animal rennet, so if you are strict, you have 1 ball to go for. But perhaps that's something to improve on the Ball Menu.

Exceeded my expectations! The concept is unique and the taste & quality of ingredients was incredible. You get 3 gourmet meatballs in the appetizer and 4-5 larger meatballs in the entree. 2 of us were stuffed after sharing 2 apps + 1 entree. The slow cooked Mexican pulled pork meatball was spectacular - highly recommend it. The service was on point, very helpful in accommodating my partner's nut allergy.

Loved the meal, great flavor. Everyone on the table enjoyed their meals. Quick service and friendly staff. Will be going back to try one of the other meals, as there were several which sounded so good. PS. Had some of the Sweet potato fries from someone else plate. Had to be the best i have ever tasted.

It took about 45 mins to get a plate of three meatballs...it was definitely different from expected, just the name "bar" implied something less formal sit down and more casual pub with space to mingle....it is a restaurant and not a bar. The balls themselves were delicious but I would recommend buying the 3 course special or risk waiting for a long time between your orders.

We got the tapas for two, beer and glass of wine. $100 later, still left a bit hungry so it's not the best place to eat for value. However great atmosphere and service, good spot for a date night.

Delicious meals, great drinks, and very friendly staff. Very happy with this spot and will be looking forward to coming back again!

Such a cosy and friendly restaurant. The staff are always smiling ad happy to help in every situation. The food and beverages are delicious! My husband & I will definitely be back.

The last Meatball Bar standing! I do love the vibe of this place and the concept they have. All the dishes I've tried have been really good, and the service is always warm and friendly.

My one complaint would be the portion sizes - I only have a moderate appetite, but I wolfed down my main meal and was still quite hungry. I suppose it's so you can try more of the small plates and desserts, but for the price you pay for a main meal, they could make it a bit bigger!

Amazing food and very friendly and attentive staff! The Malaysian balls and beef brisket are to die for! My partner and I can’t wait to come back and visit again!

In a prime spot on Beaufort street, this place has a great variety to choose from, and also and extensive alcohol list. It’s a little on the pricier side but the flavours are top notch and the service was great, even if they did seem slightly understaffed. Will be back to try more of the offerings, and the salted caramel dessert balls were a big hit!

We chose The Meatball Bar for dinner because it was one of the few open early enough for dinner with our toddler. I was skeptical it would be a good venue for kids, but gave it a try anyway, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were fabulous, friendly & accommodating, and had lots of things to keep kids entertained. Our food came out quickly (a must with kids), and was delicious - the adults and toddler alike were very happy, the food was flavourful enough for the adults & simple enough for the toddler. A surprising outcome, but we will likely be back soon.

I wish I could give this place a 5 star review as there food is beautiful but the pricing of food is so expensive!! They do deals so often but there always seems to be a catch when we went there to get it...
Michelle
The staff were friendly and the servings were good; we were full quicker than we thought we'd be! The butter chicken balls were really good, as were The American and The Parisian.

Really friendly staff, delicious bourbon, classic and mushroom balls. So good we had it 2 nights in a row. The sides of veggies and waffle chips were also great 🤗
HonestGirlPerth
We were a group of 9 people, and were offered a tasting menu at $40 per head, including 8 meatballs each, wafflechips and salad on the side, and deep fried oreo for dessert. Very reasonable pricing. Most of the meat balls are very good, some are slightly bland. The main problem was the kitchen who could not manage the pressure of two large groups in the restaurants. We had our first 4 meatballs after 20 minutes, then had to wait 30-40 minutes for the next round. Then had to wait another 30-40 minutes for dessert. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant due to the delay of serving our orders. The wait staff was apologetic and kept referring to the other table- how they had made individual orders instead of a group order, and thats why the kitchen struggled. Sorry, but we simply didn't care about that and just wanted a nice night for our group. Maybe they need more kitchen staff and a bigger kitchen to be able to manage better, so therefore I can only give a 3.5, otherwise I would give a 4.

This place was nicely set up and clean and the staff and service was very good from the second I stepped in. I tried all the meatballs that they had to offer. (That’s what you do when your Perth’s number 1 food critic) anyway I found them all to be average except the original which were very nice. The Mac and cheese side serving and veggies weren’t bad. I think it is very pricy for what you get. All said and done I think I will give it another go

Amazing service all round. Partner and I had the Ballgasm, so got to try a little bit of everything. My favourite were the mushroom arancini and his were the classic italian, which was was a lot like a bite sized chicken parmy. I was pretty excited to see three different types of mojito on the menu. We were both so full after the ballgasm we didnt have space for dessert but I really want to come back for that nutellamisu...

Had dinner with my lady at the meatball place
And was very impressed was on the way to get Asian when we stumbled across the meatball bar
Had a very nice young waitress Savanna who advised us on some of the favourites and gave us an idea how it works . I had the good morning Vietnam meatballs which was beautiful nice and light and summery my girl had lady boy balls meatballs
Nice Asian style meatballs with rice and a touch spicy . If there was a downside I thought it was to noisy and the music compounded which made it worse hard for conversation
Met the owner Sal who was friendly and was happy to assist
Definitely check it out

Been here a couple of times and service has always been fantastic! The food has always been outstanding, would definitely recommend for a meal. They do a pretty decent cocktail too!!! 👍

I recently dined at TheMeatball Bar and it was amazing! We ordered an array of meatballs, which consisted of a variety of types. My favourite was the butter chicken and sticky bourbon balls. We also ordered a fresh cauliflower salad and the waffle chips, which were very crispy and tasty.

They have a variety of cocktails to choose from and we really enjoyed the martinis!!

The food was prompt and the service was amazing! The bar manager was very knowledgable and helpful assisting us with our choices of drinks!!

Overall,it was a fantastic evening out and the atmosphere was great! Keep up the great work Meatballs!!

Was very impressed! The food was great with a large range to choose from. The staff were all very attentive and welcoming. I was also impressed the the rang of cocktails available - The Nutella Martini was definitely a favourite.

Amazing restaurant in the heart of Mt Lawley with extremely attentive and efficient service . Would highly recommend a Thursday night with the 3 course special for $39 great for value.
Kenny K Gordon
Great place and atmosphere. Drinks are amazing so is the service. The meatballs where delicious and have a huge variety of different flavours as well as special balls each month to keep u coming back.
J Smith
It was a nice dinner. We had an array of meatballs - the Mac and cheese, traditional and the coffee ones. Cut fries were good. Mac and cheese and traditional were a fav. Everything was nice, it was a decent meal. Service was friendly.
Lauren Winer
Lovely ambience, good customer service. The cocktails are pretty tasty and not badly priced, especially if they you are there during their happy hour or when they have a special going. Meatballs were ok. Was a bit disappointed that there were only three bite sized ones on the entree plates considering you are paying about $10-$15 per plate. If you are looking for yummy cocktails or happy to pay upwards of $70 for a meal for two then this is a good place. If you are looking for somewhere with reasonably priced nibbles maybe try somewhere else.

Recently went there with my partner and ordered two mains. For $34 dollars each I expected, y'know, a decent-sized meal... Well we were disappointed in the end. The servings were really small in no way worth the money. We also asked for water and weren't given the option for tap water - the bottle of water we got was 7 dollars. That's 7 dollars for water. The place itself is pretty nice - perhaps a little loud and not conducive for conservation... but nice. The food was decent as well. Either way, unless the prices change I won't be going back.

Love!!! Such a fun concept, everything is meatballs and pretty saucy... Maybe don't take grandma? Actually scratch that, I don't know what your grandma's like. 😂
The meatballs staff are super friendly and accommodating every time as well! The blond bartender that's there during Friday lunches is always willing to make me whatever cocktail I'm feeling if its not on their list (which is rare because their cocktail menu is literally pages long 😍) provided it's not too busy!
Their ballgasm is a really great option for new comers cause you get to try six different types of balls and some sides. Honestly, just the perfect amount of food to share for two or three people and then you know which balls are your favourite for next time 👍 and the mains are super filling and have hilarious names.
It's a just a fun atmosphere with great food, honestly. Make sure you book on Friday and Saturday, though! I made that mistake... They're always packed so make sure to call for your spot.

Love the ambience , varieties of balls and yummy cocktails this place has to offer. Very happy with the food and drinks. Yummmm. They are very creative in the meatballs and drinks.
Cocktails.of.perth
Food was very nice however quite pricey. Cocktails were more like mocktails (couldn't taste any alcohol) and were very small for the price, found service to be very pushy.
I have a cocktail Instagram page where I rate cocktails around Perth but sadly could only give this one 3.5/10. Very disappointed considering had heard fantastic reviews about the cocktails.
If I do go back hopefully I have more of a better experience.
Wendy Ha
I like the idea of a meatball bar but I found that the dish that I got with meatballs and gnocchi was very sickening. More gnocchi than meatballs
Lauren Hunter
Had an early, mid-week dinner here a few weeks ago with two friends. Everything was great! The specials they offer are good value, especially the Mon-Wed 3 courses for $39. The balls were delicious and different. Loved the décor as well. Will definitely be back.

Overall was an ok dine out experience....food was actually quite good but very unfortunate that we've got insect in our food...could have been dealt with better, we did get a refund on that particular ones, but when we told to one of the staff, we didn't get any apology instead using the open window as an excuse (we go to market to get our veggies so very normal to see that insect in fruit & veggies in this weather if not washed properly)....if only they properly apologized it could be a totally different experience (seem to be common as another waiter spilled a cider on my friend but not one sorry about spilling it, luckily my friend wiped her phone straight away!!!)....I think this place just need to retrain the staff to be more attentive and focus on customer service...we also waited quite a long time and had to remind them that we are waiting still for half of our food (note that after all the drama, they did offer free bucket of chips for keeping us waiting)..ashamed as few of the staff were nice and food was great (other than the insect staring at me:(.. in the end we laughed it all out but such a shamed it really could have been a great spot for some of our corporate functions etc...

Fantastic food. Cooked crisp and fresh with high quality ingredients. Loved the southern style chicken ones. Great ambience. Friendly staff. Possibly $3 a ball a bit too much considering they're bite sized.
Geri Adams
Beautiful industrial restaurant setting in Mount Lawley, extremely busy for a Sunday evening! Seated very quickly without a reservation. Ordered mac and cheese, chorizo, traditional italian, black angus and southern style chicken. Delicious, well presented and well sized. Even though a large selection of the plates are smaller and for sharing, you are best to order all your food at once. We made the mistake of ordering in two batches and were left sitting for about 15-20 minutes waiting.

Overall, we will be back for a casual dinner again, a good concept in a lovely location. Cheap-ish, $80 for 5 dishes and a few juices.
Myk Law
Food was good although severely overpriced...$29 for 5 little meatballs on 10 cornchips. Not a fan of crumbed meatballs either, they all seem to come out crumbed. Would be good if they offered the old fashioned meatballs...crumb free. Inexperienced bartenders or really bad communication meant our drink orders were always wrong and took ages to arrive. Good atmosphere though, so would try it again.

Visited here last Saturday and shared the following meatballs:
Thai,
Sicilian,
Sticky bourbon &
Mac n cheese.
These were accompanied by the waffle fries.
Washed down with a bottle of the house red.

Everything was delicious and the staff were welcoming and provided great assistance with our menu selections.
I.live.to.eat
food is okay, but their deals are super confusing and always have some caveat that isn't on the poster/ad, and we paid full price and got this from our ubereats order. surely they could've used better packaging and also given us the same amount of sauce and bits they usually give when you dine in and not a quarter just coz you can't ask for more!
Vanessa_kd
Amazing food so different to any other tapas place. Couldn't choose a favourite they were all yum. But if you're unsure whether to stay for dessert the answer is yes if you get the fried Oreos. Yum!

Came here last weekend, the place was packed but they had a nice table reserved for the four of us. We were expecting a long wait for the number of people inside but were served cold water within 2 minutes of sitting down and had our drinks over in another 5 minutes and had entree's delivered to us within 10 minutes of ordering. The key for this establishment I think is to order as quickly as you can, even if its just starting with entrees. We especially enjoyed the sticky bourbon balls and the arancini balls. Service overall was friendly and casual but still polite and the manager constantly smiled throughout the night to us. 10/10 have recommended already, and despite the slight pricey-ness of the food it was totally worth it
Foodlover101
Service was pretty bad, stood waiting for someone to serve us after numerous workers walked past us. Then be given bottled water instead of tap. Fairly disappointing won't be coming again.

My wife and I have been here many times & have never had a bad experience. We love it!

The owner is particularly friendly and you can really tell he takes great pride in giving customers the best possible food and dining experience.

The food is always beautifully presented, tasty and delicious.

Make sure you book ahead as it's very popular so it gets really busy!

The meatballs were tasty don't get me wrong! and the service was great. I just really wasnt impressed with the Thai beef meatball main serving that described being served with a 'papaya, pineapple, cucumber salad'..there was literally about 5 small cubes ontop. When I asked the waitress about this she said that WAS the salad. It was more like a garnish not a salad. We also got the limoncello and key lime brulee, which I was SO excited about. The brulee was beautiful but had zero trace of any lemon or key lime flavour, so I thought that was prettyyy misleading.

Dinner on a Friday night in Mt Lawley. The meatball bar definitely delivered. Interesting menu, and we sampled a variety of meatballs. Decent wine selection, restaurant was busy, service was good albeit it was a busy night, but we were looked after. Spicy Harissa Lamb Meatballs with a glass of the Agoston Tempranillo Cabernet, hit the spot for me. After that first meatball, I was thinking dammnn this gonna be good.

Look at the state of your customer service under your failing administration! Does not even bother to serve us even after repeated attempts for attention! Very unfair! Sad!!!! Fire now!! #MakeAustraliaGreatAgain #SAD

Updated April 2018

Every Wednesday and Thursday, come down to your local @TheMeatballBar for a Mojito < 5x 170ml > Degustation for only $19, with every main meal order 🍹! @cherylblinky adored the classic mojito while passionfruit was my favourite! We liked strawberrry and lychee equally but probably wouldn't get coconut again.

Them 3x Thai kaffir lime beef balls served with spicy red sauce were as deliciously juicy as I remembered 🌿🐮. The sauce sweated the right amount of heat while the kaffir lime introduced the right kick of interest.

Cheryl's Yankee Doodle came with 3x Sticky Bourbon pork balls and 3x Fried Buttermilk chicken balls 🐷🐥. Funnily enough they were our most favourite and least favourite, respectively. The pork balls really knocked it out of the park as they were perfectly moist and that hickory BBQ sauce was simply divine, while the chicken balls were so hairy that even Cinderella wished she ran away sooner.

The 5x Bacon-wrapped chicken & pork balls starred in my Miss Piggy and were unfortunately quite average 🥓. They tasted good but veered towards the dry side. We also would have liked the sauce in mac n cheese 🧀 to be a lot cheesier, creamier and thicker as it was quite thin and sour.

There were a few hits and misses regarding food but customer service was top-notch as per usual. Now we definitely know which balls to tickle next time we're here! Can't wait to be united with the yummo salted caramel martini too, gotta love them cock'n'balls days 🐓🎳😇
______________________________
We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we went home with smiles all around! The food was sensational and all came out very quickly, considering there were 6 of us and all ordered different things! In summary there were massive praises for the beef brisket, mac n cheese & mushroom arancini balls, great flavours and well-cooked. We found the buttermilk chicken balls a bit dry and the protein plate wasn't a hit either. The texture of the grain salad against the smoked salmon balls was just a bit mushy, we wish there had been a crunchier element on the plate. Our favourites of the night were definitely them Thai beef balls and bourbon espresso pork balls. The curry sauce that went with the Thai beef balls was AMAZING, it was packed full of flavours and the meat just melted in our mouths. The sticky bourbon sauce was out of this world and we wish we had more room in our stomach to order another serve. My salted caramel martini was the highlight of the night, everyone pretty much had drink envy the whole time and I don't blame them!

We also would like to thank the staff members that were so patient and tolerant of our noise levels. Caitlin especially was sooo sooooo nice and ensure our night go super smoothly. When the staff brought out J's birthday cake and we all sang him the birthday song, what a magical moment and it really made our night. Thank you once again for having us and you bet we will be back again, hopefully better-mannered this time!

So I guess you can say everything was... AMAZEBALLSSSSS.

I'll show myself out.
Rebecca Elizabeth
Came here for Valentine's Day 2017, amazing food, great service, perfect atmosphere. 10/10 would do again. Had a chat with the owner he was so involved in the restaurant, taking orders and getting us water. Really felt like he and the staff cared and wanted to be there. Made to feel really welcome, even left with a rose :)

Visited tonight for a quick bite to eat before our show. Place was packed and atmosphere good. Took us a while to have orders taken however the manager apologised etc to explain they were low staffed tonight. It was a lovely evening. We got a few drinks which was a nice added bonus. Mushroom arancini was out of this world good! The chairs are too high if you're a hobbit like me but I managed! We had a great time and would go back!!
Jessica Tran
Went here with a friend - great customer service for that visit as waiter kept checking up on us asking how the food was and if there's anything else we'd like. Food was amazing! Will definitely be going back.
Sally Bo Bally
Love this place! Go for the traditional balls as they are delightful. Wish they did a better Garlic bread - a big crusty slice would be better than the flatbread type they have here... but aside from that, nice food and attentive service.
Minali Gamage
Went on a Monday so was able to enjoy the $5 balls with a drink special. They have other specials on other nights. Beef brisket balls were the highlight as was the Reeses peanut butter cannoli. So good with the peanut butter ice cream.
Hungerpains
Food was surprisingly very tasty. However the biggest letdown was the service. Staff are friendly enough but not well trained. More training or a systematic ordering system required.
Christian
One thing you will walk away with after eating here is the poor value. I ordered a main for $24 and got 6 balls of small (normal) sized fried chicken meatballs. I almost asked the waiter if it was a mistake.

The food itself is good and the service ok. If you want Italian, go to a place that also sells Pizza.
Jellee Babee
The concept of a meatball café is novel and when mixed with the tapas idea, is quite a nifty concept. In reality though, the Meatball Bar has very few true meatballs on its menu -- most of it is just balls of different foods... eg bocconcini in a ball, satay beef in a ball, chicken in a ball... and it's pretty much all deep fried. Had we known this beforehand, we wouldn't have bothered but there we were on a Saturday night, about to give it our best shot.
First and foremost, the service at Meatball Bar is seriously S.L.O.W, bordering on rude. We weren't even acknowledged for the first 30mins after seating, even though there were 4 staff wandering the floor of a fairly small outlet. It was like we didn't exist and we toyed with the idea of leaving but Mt Lawley is way too busy on a Saturday night to try and gatecrash another café.
So the two of us stayed.
And talked.
And stared.
And watched the clock.
Until finally (40min after we arrived) someone came over to take our drink and food order.
From there, things moved quicker. Our food order came out without error although our 2nd drink order was also slower than a loaded freight train. Funnily enough, the group of 20 next to us seemed to not have much drama getting their drinks, so clearly the staff were directed to look after the tables with a big spend. Not cool.
We ordered a tapas mix : bocconcini balls (ordinary), lamb harissa balls (quite tasty), beef brisket balls (dry inside with a deep fried oily crumb), mac and cheese balls (overrated) and a plate of foccacia bits that had seen better days.
My partner was happy with his LLB and my salted caramel martini ($18) was worth the wait, although the nutella martini that followed was basically a choc slushie that the vodka had no chance of competing against in the flavour stakes. Not sure there was any it it tbh. Waste of $18 really.
All up our bill hit $99.50 and was discounted by 15% when the guy at the till heard about the slow service. It was a nice touch but not enough to bring us back again.

Meatball Bar has a limited dessert menu, also predominantly deep fried, so we hit George St Garage for coffees and the awesomeness of their homemade bread and butter pudding with custard and vanilla bean icecream ($12). GSG is unfortunately suffering post-boom and can't compete against the likes of Beaufort St with its bustling food scene. Sad really, because GSG is consistent on many levels -- fresh produce, seasonal menus, great coffees and sweets and the most friendly service ever.
Tammy
Food was ok but descriptions overstate reality. Service was appalling. Attentiveness of staff was almost non existent. They spent most of their time standing around in the corner but refusing eye contact and not approaching tables. General feeling of inexperienced staff in a new restaurant.
Gabrielle Trenbath
We decided on the Red Thai Beef Balls, Harissa Lamb Balls and the Ball bags with the Spicy Pork. I’m telling you, it was Devine and totally amazing. The flavours were perfectly balanced and just amazing. Originally we thought is wasn’t going to be enough but in the end it was plenty for three people. We loved the bread and the fries as the perfect addition to the meatballs.

We are here here last weekend and were very impressed. The service was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The meatballs were delicious and we found the food very good value for money. The BBQ Bourbon balls was the standout dish. I will definitely return and bring my friends with me!

I’ve been meaning to come to the meatball bar for a long time, I prefer to Mt Lawley location due to the bigger restaurant size so it’s easier for groups to attend and the option to book ahead at this location. In total I paid $55 which covered a side, a main and half a bottle of red wine, I left filled and satisfied. Looking at the mains on the menu and it saying only 4 balls it doesn’t seem much but overall it was very filling. I would come back in a group again as it was great to share food around.

Service – Very friendly and the staff allowed our table to try our wines and beers prior to purchasing, the food was quick and the owner organised a free oreo ball birthday surprise for my friend free of charge.

Food – The stand out for me as the pumpkin balls which came with spinach and black rice, the flavour was rich and everything was cooked perfectly. I loved that even though this is a “meat” ball bar there are still amazing vegetarian options. I also enjoyed the oreo balls, I am a big sweet lover and you can’t go wrong with these deep fried Oreo’s, they weren’t super greasy and didn’t leave a sick feeling in the stomach after eating.

I have only been to The Meatball Bar in Leederville to eat their savoury food... but I have been to this Meatball bar to eat their dessert!! I ordered the cheesecake, and it came within 15 minutes. There was a salted caramel chocolate pretzel on top. The biscuits the cheescake were sandwiched between were crumbly and buttery. The preztel was bursting with sweetness and richness. The cheesecake was light and creamy... with salted caramel and chocolate pretzel swirled through it! 💗

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Meatballs. It was a busy friday night so we sat outside. We ordered one entree (the chorizo and sundried tomato one) and the nepolitan sauce meatball with gnocci. Loved them both! The meatballs were tastey and tender. Good size portions. Even the gnocci was yummy!
Had the cheesecake for dessert which was good too but ive had better.
overall great food and friendly service. Didnt have to wait too long for the food either. Thought the price was fair. Would definitely come back to try other dishes :)
Franky
Food and dining was amazing a little overpriced but definitely worth the meal. Will be back again soon the owner is very accomadating and great service

My partner and i had chosen to try the meatball bar out for ourselves. Upon arrival to the mt lawley restaurant we were shoved in the back between 2 other tables. I had to try and squeeze past another couple trying to eat their dinner (my bottom slid accross their table). We ordered 2 entrees and 2 mains and 2 caronas our bill was $101 we made a pit stop past a fast food place on our way home because we were still hungry. We had the mac and cheese main which tasted exactly like easy mac you buy from coles. The prices are ridiculous for what you get. With that many people crammed into such a small space it was so loud and we struggled to hear eachother talking. Someone then decided to turn the music on, loud, after a few minutes a bar tender then turned the music down making it bearable. We will not be returning.

I had been to The Meatball Bar in Leederville and was really impressed, with the venue layout, staff, food and drink it was excellent, so thought I would enjoy it's sister venue in Mount Lawley but alas I didn't. I had no problems making a booking on Facebook for a Friday night. We were greeted and seated at a good table. Wait staff were attentive but we all struggled to hear one of the waitresses talk to us based on how loud the venue music was - this was very frustrating. Portion sizes were OK, but we were hungry after 5 or so share plates but didn't want to order more deep fried morsels. I wouldn't come back to this venue I am afraid but I do recommend trying the one in West Leederville just a overall better experience.

Finally ate here tonight. Wow. We had the Meatball Dego and they were all ace. This is normally only available at lunchtime but the boss checked with the kitchen to see if it was possible for us to have it. Looking forward to heading back and trying all the main sized meatball dishes. Highly recommended.

Great for small groups so you can try lots of things, because trust me you'll want to! The staff are so friendly, their specials are creative and great value, the food is inventive and full of flavour. What more could you want? I was skeptical at first because I'm not crazy about meatballs, but I hadn't really understood the concept properly. It's all different kinds of food and cuisine, but all more or less in ball form. Perfect for sharing. I definitely recommend :)

Establishment is reasonably sized. We were in for lunch and only one of two tables occupied. Faultless service and friendly hosts. We had bocconcini, brisket and beef gnocchi. All delicious. Only minor gripe would be slightly impractical plates for the brisket balls. However, did not take away from the high food quality.
Jen
Have driven past this place many times but never had a chance to go until last night. So glad we did though! The staff were faultless, very friendly and efficient, giving us great recommendations for both food and wine. Recommend booking if going on a weekend! Try the deep fried oreo balls dessert. So good!!
The Go Go Mumma
We came here on a whim... Majority of the tables where reserved, however the server was still accommodating and allowed us to dine (with a time restriction, which was fine) our entrées and mains served together where, hot, delicious and full or flavor. The menu doesn't stray from its moniker, meatballs - which is a cool concept. Maybe a little pricey for their serving size, however we are living in Perth... Overall a great dine,we'll be back for more.
Jo
Cannot fault this place. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I organised a girls night here & we loved it. Highly recommend for a casual date night or for a few glasses of vino with the girls followed by some great, high quality food. Bravo Meatball Bar!
Michelle
Came here on a Friday evening with my partner. We had 2 starters, 1 mains, waffle chips, 1 dessert and 2 glasses of wine. It was $90 all up which we thought was good value. The food was great-we loved it all. The meatballs and the dipping sauces were really nice. The meatballs were melt in your mouth good!! I'd definitely recommend this place. They were all booked up inside but we managed to get a table outside and they put on the outdoor heater so it was perfect.

The staff here are super friendly and the service was fast, although the food was quite over priced for the portion sizes. Didn't hate it, but I'm not rushing back.

Went for dinner on Saturday.
Ambience was too loud.
The portion size was way too small.
Way too expensive!!
The pipes on the ceiling dripped water on us all evening.
The service was slow.

18mths ago , for about 8mths I would dine at the rock pool ,mostly driven for my thirst of gambling ,until I pretty much tried the whole menu .after getting bannd entree to casino for 1 year I stopped going
Until last week my entree back to casino was lifted ,so straight to rock pool ,was excited until menu was handed to me and to my surprise the same menu (boring drink please!) So ordered the steamed mussles in a white wine broth .they were delicious, !perfectly cooked, plumped sweet mussles .the perfect blanc from sweet to sour from the white wine and vermouth which bought the dish together
Main course 62 aged t.bone ,tough ,chewy underwhelming .
When it comes to meat I'm from Italy ,in the mountains where we grow our own beef .really can't compare
Won't be returning zzzzz
Sorry For Spelling Mistakes My English Goods

absolute rip-off. was offered complimentary water when we first walked in and without being told, was charged $7. the food was okay but was also well overpriced.

Meatball isn't really my friend, Leederville or mount Lawley. I mean don't get me wrong, the food is decent and has almost enough flavour but there were a couple of dishes that came out that either had too much pepper or it was too cheesy.

Staff were friendly but service was a bit slow in regards to clear plates and asking if we wanted dessert.

Food was still enjoyable so I'd go back in a couple of months time.

One thing that definitely shines about The Meatball Bar is the enthusiasm and friendly nature of the man who runs the place. We were introduced to the menu and the system of ordering by him and we found it a delight to talk to him. The food is made to share but may leave you longing as it didn't satiate my hunger after entree, main, and dessert. The oreo dessert balls were the stand out for me, and definitely an experience that I surprisingly enjoyed and wouldn't mind getting again when I feel like treating myself.

We had a great dinner last night and tried 3 of the small plates and 3 of the larger dishes. The flavours were spot on and overall we enjoyed the options. Service was snappy and friendly. The only strange yet not surprising factor is that after the meals, 2 sides and a drink each, the bill was $172. Not complaining just didn't see 3 people eating and coming to this cost.

Yum yum yum! Different varietys of meatballs and in fact other balls. The Arancini ball with mushrooms and black truffle. Holy moly. Fun and friendly staff. Yes!

Love these balls! Mt Lawley location is much more spacious than the Leederville one. Friendly service. Shared three of the mains between 3 people and we were stuffed. Had the Moroccan lamb with cous cous, the pork and eggplant and classic beef with gnocchi. All so delicious! Would happily eat them all again but the lamb and pork were probably my favourites. Will definitely return!

My partner & I Tried the meatball bar tonight.

We got the gnocchi & beef meatballs, and the Moroccan lamb Metballs & couscous.

The service was not great. We asked for a bottle of water and this was forgotten.
The table was really wobbly, we wanted to sit inside as it was extremely windy outside but they said as it was Valentine's Day all tables inside were booked out - it was only 5 when we got there I'm sure not everyone would have been arriving at 5.

The mains were very small, the beef meatballs were full of gristle it was disgusting. The lamb balls were better but both types of meatballs were dry, for the price we were not impressed.

$60 & still hungry!!

I was impressed by the staff, our server knew the menus well she was polite and had a joke with us too. The biggest down fall was the price, I ordered the bacon wrapped chicken meatballs with Mac and cheese. The cost of the meal was $32 inclusive of three meatballs, I understand the gourmet twist but let's be practical that's a steep price for meatballs and Mac and cheese.

Service wonderful and food divine! I will eat here at least once a month from this day forth. Sicilian pork & fennel with eggplant parmigiana is to die for as are the spicy bbq.

We had a great Sunday lunch here a few weeks back. The service was excellent and the food was tasty! We tried the aranchini, ball bags and the espresso cup ones (forgotten the name!!) and they were all so different but complemented each other perfectly. Three plates between the two of us was a perfect amount (plus the bowl of free nuts).

I dined here for a Sunday lunch with friends. I like the high table seating outside so you can watch the buzz of Mt Lawley. We ordered three kinds of meatballs and shared between three which wasn't enough food since the meatballs are small. We did know this before we ordered however I was surprised because the balls are very expensive! Think $18 for three small meatballs... None the less, the arranchinni balls were delicious. The sesame chicken has a nice sticky sauce but the meat itself was a bit dry inside. The red curry balls were good tasting. All in all the food and atmosphere is good - I just probably won't come back because of the price tag.
