On walkabout around Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre we drop in for a takeaway hot beverage. @Phuong Tran decides on a Mocha and it is ready in minutes. A very good Mocha. The Owner/Manager is friendly and helpful.

A definite improvement since my last visit, coffee was really good, well presented & full bodied brew served with a tiny biscuit, nice touch.

Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre and I end up eating breakfast there at least once a fortnight, usually more often.  So I was greatly excited to see Jamaica Blue pop up when I was wandering through during the week - somewhere new for breakfast is always welcome.  It's become a bit of a Saturday habit for hubby and I to now go to the gym then grab a late brekkie somewhere, so we decided it Jamaica Blue would be our treat this weekend.

Its right in the middle of the shopping centre, just outside JB Hifi, so great people watching.  We snagged a great table with super comfy bucket-style chairs - already we were onto a good thing.  A quick look through the menu revealed a few interesting choices beyond the standard eggs/bacon/benny/pancakes and I had a bit of a time choosing between about three. But we both ended up going with the corn fritters and chorizo stack with poached egg and our usual flat whites.  Firstly the coffees - seriously good - piping hot and beautifully made - no burnt bitter taste here - just smooth and delicious.

Then the meals arrived.  Knife through the egg and pefectly poached deliciousness - firm white, soft gooey yolk ... just how I like them.  We both enjoyed our meal with our only critiques being that we could have used a little less "green" (spinach/rocket - although if the spinach had been wilted that would have been a touch of genius) and we would have like a salsa/tomato puree or something as we both felt the dish was a little dry.  But other than those minor quibbles, really good and it will be great to have another brekkie choice on the weekends - there are a few more thing I need to try on that menu.

I had bad experiences at some Jamaica Blues in the past, but I work in this centre and they open early so I gave them a shot. All their baristas are experienced so coffee is consistently good. Today I had breakfast, and this review is to recommend you their "In house menu" flick the first page wich is the standard franchise menu and you will find some gems there. Thank me later :)

Beautiful coffee and nibbles to eat. The first customer of the day gets a free coffee wich is nice. Disabled access and plenty of seating always available.

Great coffee and food. The Teriyaki Pork Spring Rolls is my favourite. Ken the owner returned my wallet, that I didn't know I lost, to my home. Thank you for going out of your way to do this. People like you makes this world a better place.

a spacious and relaxing cafe in Mount Ommaney shopping centre~ ordered eggs benedict with bacon, a cappuccino, hot chocolate and a date scone~ eggs benedict was alright, a bit pricey for its portion size but the bacon was lovely and not fatty and oily~ hot chocolate was delicious! scone was pretty okayyyyy~

It has comfortable sitting area with chairs and sofas. Simple menu, good coffee. All coffee comes with little cookies which is nice. It is an owner operative business where owner serve to the customers. The owner is a nice person, he take care of his patron.
