Customer service was polite and charming, and I fully appreciated the Covid precautions taken. My egg Florentine was great and so was my coffee. I’d love to come here again.
A reliable coffee stop while on walkabout at Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre. The large Cafe Latte is served hot and is full flavoured. A good coffee!
I had my breakfast this morning here. The quality of the food was great. The lady who served me at the counter was Louise. She was just amazing. Even she come and asked me how was the food and if everything is alright. I was very impressed with her great service and friendly attitude

With Mt Omm as my "local" and many a breakfast at various places in the Centre, the one place I don't find myself going all that often is the Shingle Inn. Not sure why, as when I do go I usually enjoy it. Perhaps its because I still have such fond memories of the original on Edward St in the city, it's dark cool mysteriousness (well in my memory of over 30 years ago), and the outlets that have popped up in the various shopping centre's around Brisbane just seem a little wrong!
Anyway, I found myself at Shingle Inn a few weeks back on my Friday off and decided to enjoy a late brunch there. A mug of flat white and a bacon and egg wrap with a hash brown included in the wrap (you can have it as a side or inside the wrap) were my order and both were delicious. I have to say the coffee here is always good - great flavour, nice and hot, not too bitter. And the wrap was good - I usually have the hash brown on the side - so being a little adventurous was great and I really like the inclusion.
I should go here more often!
Great breakfast of waffles with ice cream and caramel sauce, and an omelet with sweet potato, spinach, cheese and pinenuts. We had bowls of coffee too which were pretty decent! Get in early to get the comfy chairs up the back.
Great service. I often frequent this shingle inn when I'm in the area and am always struck by how friendly the staff are. But what really impressed me were how helpful they were with catering for an event last November. The lady involved was fantastic, and able to give me in depth phone advice to help me place my order ( I don't know many places that would give me the time she did), and of the sandwiches provided for the high tea were lovely, and complimented by all.

Great cake selection :). I went here just last week for my best friends birthday. We shared a slice of lemon meringue pie with ice cream and a chocolate and raspberry tart. Both were delicious! We sat on two one seater couches in a little nook, and it was such a pleasant environment. Will definitely go back.
Settled for a cappuccino with my nephew midway through shopping... wanted to stay forever! Service was wonderful and the cappuccino was splendid ;) I might just fake sore legs to come back and enjoy myself again LOL
You all need to calm down. I visit Shingle Inn frequently and I do agree that they should allow take away cups in store, however this a policy for all shingle inn's that the staff must enforce. They are simply doing their job! You all need to realise that and stop being such diva's. The staff treat me and my family very nicely, sometimes they are busy and seem stressed but they still do their best. Don't like the price? Don't go. Don't like that you can't have a take away cup in store? Go to Gloria Jeans or something and stop having a fit.
I havent had any issues here, i LOVE the banana breakfast smoothie its so yummy! I also got the basic bacon eggs and toast and it was delish but i couldnt finish it all! I will keep going back only for them two :)
