Amazing food and really great atmosphere. The food came really quickly and the waitresses were very attentive. Satisfies any serious Thai food craving. Definitely recommend checking it out!
I've been to mango tree several times and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of my experiences. The green curry here is amazing, especially when paired with the delicious coconut rice! Personally, it's the perfect amount of spice for me (less spicy than other green curries that I've tried). The chicken pad thai is also another one of my favourites. I'll definitely be coming back soon!
We went to this restaurant for our Christmas dinner. We fell in love with the atmosphere. We have ordered tasting entries, barbecue seafood green curry, and Roty bread, coconut rice, of course nice drinks. Everyone enjoyed the food and will be back again.

Came for Father’s Day Lunch. Despite being busy the service was quick and attentive.
Food was good, the massaman beef, deep fried barramundi and the crispy pork belly. Not a big fan of the Thai red curry or the stir fry chicken.
Tried this place out for dinner and it was lovely. It was quite busy, but the restaurant had good vibes. The staff were friendly and the wait on food was minimal.
I tried the green curry with beef and the pad Thai, both of which I have tried at other restaurants. But I would have to say these dishes were the best at Mango Tree Thai. Would definitely return to try more dishes here!
I'm a huge fan of Thai cuisine (it's just too much work to prepare it at home!) so I was super excited to try Mango Tree's offerings.
The stylish and cosy interior was very conducive for whetting ones appetite while catching up with friends or family. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. All were excellent but the highlights were the chilli pork ribs and the pad Thai. Those ribs were cooked perfectly and fell off the bone with ease. The sauce was sweet, sticky and spicy. Yum! The pad Thai was drenched in a lovely authentic sauce and the accompanying fresh bean sprouts added a nice crunch.
Service was super warm and friendly. The food came out at a great pace.
Mango Tree definitely ticked all the right boxes!
All curry dishes and BBQ pork ribs are fine. I would recommend their bathroom on top of all the delicious dishes!! It's the cleanest bathroom I've ever seen in Australia, with joyful fragrance…
Dined here after reading really good reviews about this place on Zomato and also from word of mouth and we were not disappointed.
We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, vegetarian pad Thai and the chicken red curry with a side of rice. You can just tell that the food is very fresh and not oily unlike many other Thai takeaway/dine in restaurants.
I would definitely comeback as the prices are reasonable and the food is great.
Nice place for Thai food in this area. Traditional Thai food, friendly staff. Not too busy but dinner have to booking. Rice noodles and soup are very nice.
Ordered the pad kee mao and it arrived shortly. Dish was aromatic and tasty. Portion is average for a restaurant of this type. It was $16 or $17 for that dish. Very busy on a weekend and you will need to book in advance.

Had Sunday lunch at Mango Tree with a family group of 7. There was plenty of car parking behind the restaurant. The restaurant's decor creates a very pleasant dining environment. We had booked and our table was available immediately on arrival but the restaurant was not busy. Service was quite prompt - efficient without being overfriendly. We chose some entrees and mains to share. These were delivered sequentially as we preferred. There was one mistake with one main being seafood rather than chicken as ordered but the staff quickly arranged a replacement dish. All the food was good quality although the hardened spice warriors in our group felt that some of the dishes should have been more spicy. The Pad Thai was very good - a good base dish to use for comparative purposes. I particularly enjoyed the Massaman Beef. The Lab Gai was interesting - had not tried this dish before. Overall our group was very happy with the meal. Cost was very reasonable. We all have plenty of experience with Thai restaurants and will be happy to return to this one.

Well, lady luck must be on our side lately as we keep discovering one gem of a restaurant after another!
Stepping into this place, we couldn’t help but adore the exotic Thai themed set up. There was a lot of attention to detail beautifully splashed across the venue and whoever was behind this certainly has exquisite taste.
Surprise, surprise, no entrees for us that day as we delve straight into mains. From the lunch menu was the Kana Moo Grop with Rice. Rich, crispy pieces of pork belly and crunchy vegetables in the midst of a garlicky-savoury-sweet sauce... What’s not to like?
The Lab Gai was zesty, vibrant and perfectly balanced, rendering it one very good Thai chicken mince salad and the best we’ve come across. Same goes for the Chicken Tom Yum Soup which was an explosion of sweet, sour, spicy and savoury all in one bowl.
My mood for seafood that day had my mind set on the Talay Roum and it was beautifully executed. The sauce was flavoursome yet restrained enough for the seafood to shine through, and together with some delicious, humble Thai fried rice, it was one helluva combination!
My liquid concoction of choice that day? Ice blended coconut juice! This cold, refreshing elixir sure worked wonders in quenching my thirst and keeping me cool in the midst of a hot summer day.
Everything about this place right down to the service was just oozing with splendour, transcending all words and expectations. Enough said.
The food was very tasty . We shared money bags , coconut rice , stir fry chicken with cashews and a chicken curry . The food came out quite quickly . The staff were helpful .

Overall a few visits I’ve had the fish cakes, massaman curry, green chicken curry duck curry, pad thai and pineapple fried rice. The best dishes would be the fish cakes and the pineapple fried rice. The portions of the curries tend to be on the smaller side and seem to be lacking a little in flavour. The service is a little slow but otherwise great and any requests are always met with a smile. The restaurant is also very well decorated in a nice modern manner.

Being big fans of Thai food, we were looking forward to trying this cozy suburban place. The food was amazing, from appetisers to the mains, everything was just delicious. Be sure to try the Seafood BBQ and their Curry’s! We will definitely be back as we may have found our new go-to Thai place!
I was surprised to get here at 8pm on a Friday and see this place jammed packed. I forget sometimes that not everyone eats at 5pm (kids).
Most important tidbit info: it's BYO alcohol and no corkage fee.
We ordered crispy pork belly, massaman beef curry, pork mince with stirfry eggplant, mixed entrees (prawn spring roll, curry puff, money bag, satay chicken,fish cake), chicken mince salad and coconut rice. Thai food is not usually something I seek out or enjoy but I seriously couldn't complain about any of it. Perfectly cooked and well-balanced dishes. I loved the eggplant and crispy pork belly.
We also ordered black rice pudding with coconut ice-cream, coconut panna cotta and custard. I would recommend avoiding the desserts. The rice was undercooked, ice-cream was icy with no coconut flavour, the cotta and custard weren't set.
Overall, I would recommend this place. Great ambience.
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve had in the recent years. We ordered a Chuchi Chicken Curry, a crispy pork belly stir fry and a Pad see ew. All of them were very beautiful, especially the pork was so soft while the skin was still very crispy.
The only bad side of it was when me and my gf were there, there were only 2 tables but they still kinda mixed up our orders with the other table. But overall the staff are super nice.
Great little suburban restaurant with easy parking and a friendly casual vibe. The pad thai and beef massaman curry were a stand out for my group. Would definately come back for a easy weekend meal.

Dinners always seem to be busy when we go here but its not hard to figure out why. The food is always great and we are yet to try a dish that has disappointed us. The service is alway super friendly and love how they are able to pick up the simple things such as providing us with chopsticks (yes, we asian 😁😅) without us having to ask.
Lunch is my preferred time to go. Quiter and the lunch specials are just as tasty. Great value for money as well.

They have lunch menu which we had. Try the Pad Kee Mow and Kana MooGrab. Both delicious. The only criticism are the food is smaller in proportion but fine by us as we don't eat that much anyway.

The restaurant wasn’t too busy when we arrived. We were welcomed as soon as we entered and promptly seated and given menus and water. Our meals were all fantastic - green curry, cashew stir-fry and pad see ew. Veggies and meat were generous which was nice.
The waitresses were very attentive. Not once did our water run out without them filling it immediately (and without us even asking), a small detail of service but something that often gets overlooked.
If in the area again we will definitely return.

Went out for dinner at Mango Tree Thai the other day (make sure you book beforehand! They’re often quite heavily booked for nights). We ordered the Som Tam (papaya salad), prawn pad Thai and the Green curry. The Som Tam was refreshing with a spicy kick and the other dishes were great as well. The only thing I’ve got to say negatively is that the portion sizes are a bit small.
I love the food at this place. We often get take away as restaurant is very noisy but having byo and reasonable prices certainly helps. Can be a bit chaotic.
Quick and friendly service. The food was decent but no real reason to return. The five large prawns in the Pad Thai was generous but the noodle itself was rather salty and oily.
My friend and I found this place quite by accident. We were trying to go out to dinner the evening of Anzac day but the place we chose was closed. So we drove to this place. They were very accommodating, giving us the last table. The service was good, they checked in with us at good intervals and they were friendly, the food was delicious; fresh with lots of flavor. I ordered the satay sticks and pork in lettuce. The satay sauce was one of the best I’ve tasted. I would eat here again.
I come here at least once a month, usually with my Mum but sometimes with friends and family. Not once have we ever been let down. The service is faultless, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic, I cannot rave about the place enough.

This is a western- modern Thai fusion kind of place with interesting decor, a full cabinet of booze of all types, and long tables from which one has to shout to the person at the other end. The food is fine albeit in small quantities. I've had better though (try the more traditional Thai Rose in Chelsea and taste the difference). If I leave a place satisfied but the next day can't quite remember what I ate I reckon it's a 3.0 at best. I'll add another 0.5 for interesting vibe and clean toilets. But it was not: "Jeepers! That was amazing" quality. Nonetheless, a good choice in this part of the 'burbs.
Really can't fault this place. I have Thai a lot and this is certainly up with the best! The chicken pad Thai was delicious. Had a nice sauce to it and was just amazing. The Panang Beef Curry was also fantastic. The beef was in chunks and so tender it pulled apart. The chicken Satay skewers had a lovely peanut sauce . also tried the Lettuce Delight which was fresh and tasty. Absolutely have to go back here! Staff were attentive and the decor was beautiful. Nice little gem in Mount Wav!

Lovely surprise of a restaurant. Nice to go to a Thai Restaurant with great ambience and furnishings. Great lunch specials. Loved the roti! A suburban Thai a cut above the regular.
I have no doubt that this is one of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne. Booked in for dinner on a Tuesday evening for a celebrations and we were lucky to get a table. Whilst full of patrons, you could easily carry on a conversation without raising your voice. As for the meals, it was some of the tastiest and freshest Thai food I have eaten. Sharing a couple of entrees and then plates of pork ribs, chicken stir fry, duck salad and coconut rice between four of us was more than enough. This was followed by some excellent desserts. Add a bottle of French champagne and coffees, we wined and dined for a little over $42 a head. Now that’s excellent value. Have dined here before, and will be back again for sure.
We ordered the chicken pad grapao, duck curry and Thai milk tea. The serving sizes were larger than we expected although the rice was ordered separately. The basil chicken was very fragrant but not overpowering with the basil and the duck curry was tasty but perhaps the curry could be a bit thicker. The Thai milk tea was nice, sweet and milky. The ambience was cosy especially at night and service was very friendly. Overall great experience!
Came here with colleagues for a lovely team lunch. Ample space for groups and there's lots of parking up the back which also offers a back entrance into the restaurant. Food was full of flavour, Thai milk tea was rich without being overly sickeningly sweet and staff were very friendly. It wasn't particularly busy on a weekday which was nice to be able to have decent conversations at the table without shouting above a din. Decor also gave it a nice modern Thai feel.
Very pleasant front of house staff and always seems to be a small army working in the kitchen.
The Massaman curry is very good, quality large chunks of braised meat that is never dry, however somethings just cant compare to what I eat in Thailand, The Pad Ka-Prao (ผัดกะเพรา) just seems to have all these useless ingredients added into it to bulk it up how ever the best ones I had in Thailand had only a few ingredients and of course more spicy.
However its a good suburban choice and you will probably leave happy.
What a great little restaurant this is, hiding in the middle of suburban Mt waverley.. lovely ambience and decor and great food at a very reasonable price. We were there on a Tuesday night recently and the place was surprisingly full. I can see why
Great food, all the flavours of every dish were incredibly tasty, from the noodles to the stirfrys and the currys. We shared about 8 dishes and all of them were great, stand outs being the Penang curry and the pad Thai noodles. The only downfall was probably the fact that they were incredibly busy on a Sunday night so the service was a bit slow. Will order from them again for take away!
Seriously the BEST Thai in mt Waverley area.. Forget walking in though you won't get a table unless you book so my husband and I get take away. Red duck curry is next level amazing. Our favourite treat in our area.
This is the one Thai restaurant that I recommend but make sure you have book in weekend because this place always full book !!!! And very good taste especially crispy pork and panang curry is the best :)

Aromatic dishes that arrive promptly and very satisfying textures and flavours.
Massaman beef was very tender and rich, and goes best with their coconut rice - which can do with more coconutty sweetness.
Loved the sticky black rice and coconut cream; so comforting on what was a cold, and wet evening - we thought it went better eaten with mango ice cream than coconut ice cream. Overall enjoyed this place.
This is excellent! I just came back from Thailand, but what I had here was better, really top class! The massaman was superb, the texture of the beef was melt in your mouth. The environment was comfortable and friendly, and the service was good, if a little slow. Highly recommended!

I loved the TomYum soup. It was not too spicy, very hearty and delicious. Their Thai curries are one of the nicest I've had so far in Melbourne. Really well done. My rice paper rolls were great, too. A little hard to eat and might get messy (but that's probably just inept me). The food presentation was impeccable too. I really love the attention to detail that the chefs put into the food.
Although the price is on the expensive side, I'll gladly come back. This is the Thai place I'll be recommending to friends! :)

I'm always disappointed with Pad Thai.....but it's that dish that people MUST order when out for Thai. Fortunately this one was delicious. I will make a point of ordering it next time.
Great place to go to have delicious Thai food , been there a few times and everything I have ordered so far has been delicious and fresh , staff are friendly and on the ball , I recommend this place for the lovers of good Thai food .
Had dinner there because my friend work there, the som tum was okay, the jungle curry was damn spicy, the taste itself was not bad but the texture of the fish wasnt good, like frozen then cooked for too long. The crispy pork belly was good, i love the sauce :)

Had a dinner at this fairly newly opened restaurant along the streets on Mount Waverley. The architectural design is warm and welcoming, with the doors being wide open and the inside blending with the outside. A very modern twist with the somewhat authentic Thai culture. I ordered the Beef Curry which was on the recommended menu and my partner ordered the traditional Tom Yum. I also ordered a side drink of Thai Milk Tea, which was delicious; not too sweet with the hint of milk, tea and honey blended together. The curry and Tom yum arrived hot and steaming and the curry was definitely the standout for me. Usually I'm not a particular fan of coconut but in this coconut curry I couldn't taste much coconut in fact. The curry sauce was delicious. The only negative aspect was that the beef chunks weren't as tender as I would have liked... And the chunks of beef were a bit too big... If they were smaller then the flavour of the sauce would have nicely seeped in with the meat. The Tom Yum was a good combination of sour and sweet, however it was the best flavour I have tasted. It was very filling though, stacked full with vegetables. Overall I had a very delightful experience and would definitely come again to try out some of the other dishes! And

Pretty good, I have to say. Not as good as Brown Rice in Edithvale but this is still very good, authentic Thai food and beautifully decked out. We had the papaya salad and Seafood BBQ. Both were delicious and nicely spicy. The satay skewers had a lovely sauce as well. Will definitely be back.

We went there for Friday lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the tastefully done interiors and space. This restaurant has been open for around two weeks. We ordered a vegetarian green curry and rice set and vegetarian pad thai. The presentation was excellent and so was the food itself. Most of the other casual restaurants in this strip are the takeaway types. This is a place where you can enjoy dining, whether for pleasure or business. Keep it up, Mango Tree!

Amazing place to have some delicious Thai food if you are in Mount Waverley or nearby suburbs.
We had take away and did not eat at the restaurant. The vegetables green curry was one of the best that I’ve tried. We also had a spicy talay ruam and the seafood in it was perfectly cooked. The stir fried vegetarian rice was cooked perfectly. Coconut rice has a rice coconut aroma and a creamy texture.
Will definitely be visiting back for more.
