Not a bad cafe. The staff are friendly, and the food is good, although nothing too flashy. They make a nice cup of coffee as well. Not a bad cafe at all.
When you can't decide what to eat.. this is a perfect place. Both eastern and western food on the menu and breakfast all day! But I the main star of this place is the coffee.. unexpectedly great coffee better in my opinion than well known franchises like Gloria Jeans
The Whippeteers remember when SPHERE first opened. It was FABULOUS. Very popular. So busy. Always great coffee and food.
Now? It looks a little SAD. A little QUIET. The original staff are gone. The venue has LOST ITS MOJO.

The SERVICE from the barista today was great. The COFFEE was good.
Maybe popularity is like a cycle, a SPHERE, if you will. Will this cafe come back into fashion? Time will tell. The Whippeteers certainly hope so! 😃
Great coffee in a nice environment. They also do a good babycinno - complete with hundreds and thousands sprinkles and marshmallows. Kept my 3 year old happy.
They have the best breakfast! Love going there with my beautiful partner for a beautiful breakfast.
Lunch. Haven't tried breakfast here but lunch is pretty good. Occasionally on the slow side for delivery of food if you are eating in but you can order ahead and if you get the special then it will be quicker. Really good for takeaway. Just about everything is take away which is very helpful if you just want to grab something and head back to what you were doing. Recommend ordering ahead. Sandwiches are a little pricy but they are big! So that makes up any disappointment, plus there are lots of bread options and other tasty treats.
Love this place, the staff are always happy to be there and it has a great vibe as soon as you walk through the door. The breakfast is always huge for the price, and the quality is fantastic. Best part about this place is they let us change up the Brekky by adding feta cheese, without ever charging extra $$, and they don't get annoyed when 3 of us want to split the bill, cash or card! Best place in the area for value for $$ without diminishing quality or quantity.
Okay where do I start... I go here constantly and the food bis always amazing, the staff aee happy and cheerfull and brighten up my day..the coffee has multiple choices. and the pricr is fine stop being tight arses...I dont no what the people previously are on about mosy likely competition....all in all " Get On It "
Good coffee, food and prices. Great local cafe - with fantastic coffee, service and food. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is fantastic value. I came for breakfast and had poached eggs on sourdough bread with avocado and feta. Was really nice - and fresh. Added a flat white and hash browns which were both great :) Menu is wide - and they serve both breakfast and lunch. All meals are at reasonable prices - and location is appealing (they have undercover outside area as well as ample seating indoors.
Favourtie food: Can't go past big breakfast (breaky) / chicken burger (lunch)
Favourite drink: Flat white
They also have a great range of sweets, sandwiches, cold drinks and fresh juices.
Sphere of Influence. Great coffee. Great food. Great service... All at a great price! The staff are energetic and entertaining and even attempt comedy most mornings!!! :) (I'll get my coffee thrown at me for that line!) A genuinely great cafe that makes grabbing a quick brekkie or late lunch a fun and light-hearted experience. Jen, Lauren and all the team do a great job with a terrific smile...
Breakfast Favourite. My wife and kids go here most weekends for breakfast. Friendly service, great food and coffee and always consistent. My personal favourtie it the Breakfast Roll, as well as the Salmon Omlette
Sphere may just look like another cafe but I walked in today quite tired and exhausted. Good food at reasonable prices was the expectation which was met but the nice suprise was the staff. All happy to be there, customer service impeccable. Will come back for this reason alone. Keep it up girls

On spending a week in Melbourne I walked past Sphere each morning so, on my last day I decided to treat myself to breakfast out instead of the usual cereal and toast.
I walked in at around about 8 so it wasn't busy at all really. I decided on ordering the Gourmet Vegetarian Special (yet I am still struggling to see what made it so "gourmet") and a large latte.
Coffee came out first with a nice smooth taste about it, not too robust. Breakfast arrived 5-10 minutes later. This consisted of poached eggs on a house made rosti with mushrooms, spinach, house made beans, avocado and grilled tomato. The best part of this was the potato rosti. Soft and golden on the outside with nice seasoning. My least favourite part were the house made beans which taste notably similar to the Heinz counterpart. Overall though the breakfast was satisfying and definitely filled me up with just through right portion size for a hungry teenager! :P
Service was friendly and quick with the ability to handle fast rushes. Seating and decor were nice yet personally I would remove the TV as no one had any interest in tuning into it.
Would come back for another meal or coffee one day if I am in the area.
Overall: 7/10.
Coffee seals the deal. I have only in the last couple of months started frequenting this cafe. I have not ordered a meal as of yet but the coffee is definitely worth it. The thing that I find most enticing about the place are the friendly staff. I will continue to acquire my caffeine injection from Sphere and will most likely try my first breakfast meal sooner rather than later. Keep an eye out on their Facebook page for sweet deals!
Re last comment. Having read the reviews especially from previous employee i am very surprised at her comment as she has worked there obviously her expectations of a clean cafe weren't up to mutch.
I have been there before the new owners who by the way have had it just on two years so not so new .It definately wasnt clean and now it certainly is and the food ,coffee and happy staff make it a pleasant place to catch up with friends any time of the day.
I like Sphere... But they do need to do away with the Lipton tea bags and get some decent leaf tea. Who wants to pay for a tea bag when I can have that at home for free? Good chai lattes keep me happy though!
Great coffee, food is good value and friendly atmosphere.
We had a family breakfast today. The kids enjoyed the pancakes and milkshakes. We enjoyed the big brekkie and veggie brekkie. Coffee was lovely. Service was very nice. Very friendly and efficient. We couldn't resist some cakes and slices to take home for afternoon tea.
Good coffee, good service recommended.
