Review Canadian Bay Hotel - Mt Eliza

Three stars as service was very good and prompt but the chef may need to rethink his occupation. Porterhouse steak almost $40 fine that’s average price but please can you add some salad not a spoonful. Came here quite often before would not return unless it changes steak was overcooked ordered medium rare and was medium to well done. Atmosphere is good if you want a quiet meal but definitely not value for money l mentioned while l was eating l may have to pop past McDonalds on the way home. Such a nice place to dine please lift your game kitchen.

We managed to get an outside table for two, without a booking, as a quick evening meal. It was very pleasant sitting in the Febuary afternoon warmth. The food was great, and there was quite a variety for us both, including lovely Vegetarian options. Price point was affordable, and we both felt that we had a special moment in a non rushed 'Sleepy Hollow', which can be hard to find these days.

Every now and again something really good pops up in our daily lives. Such was our meal with friends at the Canadian Bay Hotel. From the moment a gentleman opened the door for my wife and I, to being shown to our table by a young man behind the bar, to ordering our drinks and meals with Amanda, our experience was absolutely 5-star. Between us all we had Greek lamb salad, Italian mussels, my wife had good ol' Bangers and Mash and I had Turf and Surf. Everyone enjoyed their meals and my Turf and Surf was the best of these I've ever eaten. Amanda's choice of Shiraz for me was perfect. Our meals weren't cheap, but I'm happy to pay a good price for a wonderful meal in lovely surroundings with excellent service.

Great outdoor seating with heaters! Service was excellent, food was cooked perfectly and came out quickly, even considering how packed it was inside and the function room. Many thanks Laurence!

Went to this hotel to celebrate our parents 60th wedding anniversary. Staff were good although it would have been nice if the manager had even come over to offer congratulations. Food was very average and that’s being generous. Will not go there again

Yummy parma's, nice and thick and juicy and the dessert was lovely. It's not the cheapest place but well worth it for a great meal and nice evening out. Can't fault the staff for anything perfectly friendly and helpful, meals didn't take very long at all.

Great service, staff were super attentive and understanding of FODMAP requirements. Only issues were deserts not being plated at the same time and the calamari was a little old with soggy breading.

Just had lunch here and the service was fantastic, food was cooked perfectly. Always amazing specials - definitely recommend

I had my 21st birthday here in the upstairs function room and it was incredible!!! Paula helped me and my mum from the get go and we loved her so much she was almost the highlight of the whole thing � if you are looking here for a function room, you've come to a great place, I could not recommend high enough!!! �

Staff were amazing, one (I'm so sorry mental blank on her name �) even went and got a cake so I could surprise my son for his birthday. Food was beautiful, my seafood platter was so fresh and incredible and it was so refreshing not to have everything deep fried so I could actually enjoy the seafood! Thank you, we will definitely be back.

Wow, what an incredible Sunday afternoon we had at the CBH, celebrating my friend's birthday. Although it was very busy, the service and the staff couldn't have been any friendlier or more efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was stunning and so delicious. My two friends who ordered the seafood platter said it was the freshest and best they ever had. The drinks arrived in a flash, and the cake we brought was served in style, even decorated with candles which we'd neglected to bring. Can't wait to return !! Your appreciative customers on the `dining table'. :)

Had a beautiful lunch there with some old school friends , Alana looked after us beautifully, as did all the staff . Highly recommend! �

I was at my best friends daughters 30th the staff more most helpful. The food fantastic would definitely go again for a meal.

We held our fundraising event at The Canadian Bay Hotel. We could not have been happier with the service. Paula was very accommodating of all our needs and very generous, allowing us to maximize the money raised for our charity. Excellent service, generous servings of food and a fantastic bar tender who joined in the fun and spirit of the evening. Thanks also for looking after our MC by serving a late night dinner after the kitchen closed. We will definitely be back and highly recommend your function room. Thanks for all the added extras. Paula’s advice and expertise with planning, set up and clean up was invaluable.

Love this place, awesome food, staff an not to forget drinks. Just a short walk home for me, my perfect hangout.

Just enjoyed a great meal and a couple of Fat Yaks at CB's in the bar. Such a relaxing evening on a comfy couch. Felt thoroughly looked after by the lady with the shiny bob! Thank you. We all enjoyed our meals, including the vegan! Will be back and would recommend Canadian Bay as a warm and inviting place to hang.

I rang canadian bay in desperate hope of having a last minute 30th party there. Paula was absolutely AMAZING. She was so helpful, reassuring and made the night the best it could be. Food and service was fantastic! We all had such a great time Thank you so much
