Review Canadian Bay Pizza - Mt Eliza

Brought from them a few times pasta is always fresh and tasty when I called staff were friendly and always fulfill my requests for changes would recommend.

Delivery was 45 minutes late even though we pre ordered through menulog for a specific delivery time. When we spoke to the restaurant they told us they got busy and we were now last in line and that the time we ordered for is very busy. Basically it was our fault. Food was fine but steer clear

Delivery. Blown out delivery time. Menulog tells you its only a short wait. We ordered at 6:50 pm ish got delivered at 9:45 pm, but we were told at the time of ordering it would be delivered aroumd 8:15-8:30 pm. (Note for shop management, if you are that busy why dont you turn off the Menulog phone thingy, instead of just ignoring the quoted times and cooking the food when you feel like it). If you cant deliver at the time of ordering, or can see times blowing out, let the client know. Thats good/simple business ethics. Food. Less than sub-par. Was it disgusting, no it was close, was it disappointing, yes it was. Chips were dry, potato cakes were pumped out of a machine at a rate of 100 per minute and soggie, calamari rings had the tase and texture of a primary school girls hair scrunchy. I have managed to drain some extra oil from the fish and plan to use that in my lawnmower this weekend. The only highlight was the steamed dimsims. I know it is only a fish & chip shop that does other things and it is not gourmet cuisine, but I would have preferred to spend my money and eating frozen fish fingers & chips cooked from the oven or a dirty servo ​pie. Maybe the food wasn't that bad, but when you pay for something and expect the parties to make good on a basic contract, and they just ignore delivery times quoted, that will leave a bad taste in your mouth before you start eating. Note for shop management, in this time where the world is super connected and even more competitive for the consumers $$$, a simple message keeping the client in the loop with updates on the order would go a long way with customer relations. 1 star.

Tonight was the final straw. The pizza is usually nice, hence why we gave them another chance. But after the wrong pizzas arrived,(I do understand mistakes happen) I called to let them know there was a mistake and was left on hold for 10 minutes whilst I listened to them have a domestic in the background. I had to hang up and call back just to speak to somebody again. It’s now been 2 hours since we first ordered and were still waiting. Still waiting on the apology aswell. Oh and they want their soggy pizzas back 😂 My first google review, you guys earned it.

A truly unforgettable takeaway experience. If you’re looking for a dinner that is full of surprises then you can’t go past this place! Ordered online and received an SMS stating delivery would be 45 minutes. Called the shop after 75 minutes and was told it must be on the way because the order didn’t appear to be in the shop, so I should call back in 10 minutes if it didn’t arrive. It didn’t, so I did, and was informed that they had started making it. At least I could be sure it would be fresh. 2 hours after ordering my meal it finally arrived, and I was relieved to find out that the grilled fish I had ordered (and paid extra for) had in fact been fried. It was so thoughtful to anticipate that I would want the extra batter given I was extra hungry after the wait. Calamari may well have been in the fryer for the entire time I was waiting, as I did a blind taste test with a rubber band and couldn’t pick it. Unusual! Surprising! Unforgettable! These are all words I would use to describe this terrible experience. 1 star, solely for the delivery guy being apologetic.

This is the best pizza I have ever tasted, I went and ordered pizzas and the owner told me it will be ready in 15 minutes. I saw that they were very busy and didn't think my food would be ready in 15 minutes but as the owner said my pizzas were ready on time. The customer service was the best I've seen and the food was absolutely amazing it was definitely worth the wait. I could not point out one negative thing about this pizza shop and they will be seeing my face from now on.

Terrible experience. We placed our order over the phone and were told our pizzas would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived on time but then had to wait another 40 minutes before our pizzas were ready. The rude staff could not have cared less when we complained about how long it was taking. Even if this place served great pizzas (which they certainly do not), we'd never go back there again.

UNFORTUNATELY you can't give '0' stars. Ordered at 6:15pm from their fish & chips menu (our usual, 15+ years customers order) and was told delivery 'about 7:00pm'. So at 7:45pm rang and was told 'it's being cooked now'. 8:25pm rang and asked and was told 'we're really busy, we'll send it soon and include a free gelati'. Cancelled order. Never again and it's a shame because it used to be a nice meal - the last couple weren't and this has iced the cake. And be warned - the cost will be more than in the printed home delivery menu - owner said he'd had to put the prices up - I asked for a new one and was told 'I printed 10,000 and I'm not wasting them'. ACCC would probably be interested in this! Finally, in writing this review I see they've moved from Mt Eliza to Frankston South - FORTUNATELY THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS IN MT ELIZA. .

Tad disappointed.. for years my family has been getting fish and chips/pizza from Canadian bay and tonight they got our order wrong by forgetting some things and that's fine, that happens, but it was just how things were handled that was disappointing. That they charged us from the start for the things they forgot (so they should've know when $30+ of food was missing) when I called back the guy in the background said "he knew that we ordered 7 flake" instead of the 2 that we got and that when I complained about the inconvenience of my family having to eat their dinner cold as they waited for the other half of their meal to arrive, they said there was nothing they could do... not the first time this has happened as well.

Don't go here! Gone down hill!!! They used to be good BUT order forgotten. Staff told us it was nearly ready when they hadn't cooked it. Pasta over cooked and falling apart with watery sauce. Mexicana not even slightly spicy! Crap service overall. They gave us attitude when said they should of said it hadn't been made.

WE GIVE UP; DELIVERY SERVICE IS APPALLING. We have persisted for over a year, but this is the last time we will order from CB Pizza.<br/><br/>Ordered 2 small pizzas at 5.35pm; was advised it may take up to 1 HOUR because it was Friday. Rang at 6.45 and it was going to leave shop in 5-10 mins. Arrived at 7.05pm - lukewarm. 1.5 hours for 2 small lukewarm pizzas - you have to be kidding.<br/><br/>Food is great, but they really shouldn't offer a delivery service - they just can't manage it and it makes them look incompetent.<br/><br/>Yes, we could go and pick up - but on a cold, windy Friday night and not feeling well delivery is the way to go - just not from CB Pizza.

Don't bother. Been waiting over an hour and 40 minss for one pizza to be delivered. Called twice and they were not at all helpful. When ordered they said 45 mins. Pizza arrived cold too.

We Ordered Fish and Chips and a Salad and It Was Terrible - Never Again. The fish and also the batter had no taste at all and it was like eating soap, the salad was not fresh

Expensive for what you get.. Good fish and chips but quite expensive. Even the chips are pricey compared to most fish and chip shops.

Changing of the gaurd. New management new benchmark for pizza on the peninsula.

Sadly, we will no longer be ordering from Canadian bay pizza. Last order we got a phone call 10 mins after our estimated 70mins for delivery to say they had stuffed up the order and put corn on one of the pizzas. We said don't worry just send it. When the pizza arrived it also had prawns on it which we have an anaphylactic reaction to and also the wrong drink. We rang back and told them. We were offered a credit or the pizza we ordered, no apology or offer of a refund. Original order finally arrived 2hrs after estimated time. We understand that mistakes happen, however the lack of customer service means sadly we will no longer use this shop.<br/><br/><br/>-----16 Nov, 2012-----<br/><br/>Great fish and chips, better than the fish and chip shop! Average. This used to be a great pizza shop and would order from there quite often. My regular used to be a satay chicken pizza, and wasnt bad. But it is now more of a cheese and chicken pizza. They seem to have become stingy with the satay sauce.
