Went to the local beer night last night and was blow away. The hospitality, food, beer, value and experience were exceptional. I will be keeping an eye out for the next dinner... thank you south beach project for a fantastic night.

Great coffee, Acai bowls and service with a smile, coupled with arguably some of the best coastal views of any cafe found on the Peninsula.

Calamari with Asian Slaw was amazing! Mussels were well cooked but the broth needed more herbs and less coconut milk. Beautiful location overlooking the water and great use of indoor / outdoor space. I will definitely go back šŸ‘

Great coffee. Get the breakfast burger. Wouldā€™ve taken a photo but I ate it already

Try it out, if you like soy they use Bonsoy too. Canā€™t wait to try some other menu options. The owner recommended the burger but we were riding so it was too heavy for us.

Had brunch here on a very busy Easter Monday. The staff were all very friendly. My brekky burger was delicious. Unfortunately coffees took half an hour and my latte (served in a cup) came out cold with half cup of froth. (Apologetic and didnā€™t charge). Better barista staff needed but weā€™ll be back though.

This place is amazing, one of the few places on the peninsula where you can eat, drink and actually see the water. Food is interesting and a little different, coffee is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. They also offer private functions.

We had an excellent run with our food adventures at Mount Martha so far, and South Beach Project is no exception. The 5 of us came in a bit after 12pm, and SBP was serving from the hearty lunch menu only. Thanks to our friend who is a weekend resident at Mount Martha and had thus struck up a friendship with the lovely people at SBP, we were allowed to order from the lighter breakfast menu.

The stand out dish has to be the salmon scramble migas, which consisted of crispy strips of fried tortillas, fluffy scrambled eggs, and delicious salmon pieces. The slight sweetness of the onions, the tartness from the tomatoes and the kick from the peppers gave this dish a wonderful flavour profile.

It was a three-way tie for second place. First up was the fried noodle omelette that successfully emulated the flavours of Chinese stir-fried noodles, but came in the form of a soft yet crisped omelette. Then came the the pairing of smooth and creamy smashed peas and avo together with a delicate polenta waffle which resulted in a light and healthy dish. Last was the heartiest dish of the day, which not surprisingly came from the lunch menu - the rich and luscious duck confit cassoulet.

While the food was great, the coffee was run-of-the-mill. Not terrible at all, but nothing sensational. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful way to end our food adventure at Mount Martha.

Lovely spot here outside on the right day. The winter sun streamed across the bay and right at our lovely spot outside. Just a coffee stop today and that coffee was really lovely. Weird they donā€™t have a toastie or something small other than a meal though. We liked it here and weā€™ll be back for lunch or dinner sometime.

The food was unique compared to the general breakfast menu one would find elsewhere, produced with care and not rushed. Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. Couldn't fault. Visited during peak sunday morning and still exceptional service.

The eggs Benedict is awesome. The bacon on it was delicious. Friendly service and good coffee too. Great setting, right opposite the beach and away from the main shops.

One of Melbourne's best function venues, with an idyllic location, warm homely decor and unbelievably great service. The food was fantastic too, the SBP team worked with us to design a custom menu that our guests still rave about to this day.

Good food, great location. Have had many great visits but today the waiter took our order but didnā€™t write it down. As soon as he left and I realised he hadnā€™t I said to my wife ā€œI hate it when they donā€™t write down orders!ā€. Sure enough, my scrambled Eggs came out poached! Write down the orders!

I had the pleasure of working at the South Beach Project as a DJ and MC at a wedding, so this review is from the perspective of a working guest as opposed to a casual visitor. The staff here are friendly, attentive, courteous and professional. The venue itself is lovely, bright with plenty of parking and in very close proximity to the beach. I would definitely recommend it as an ideal venue to hold an informal, relaxed celebration.

We were looking for somewhere yum for breakfast while heading to Melbourne CBD from Rye, and saw the reviews here for South Beach. It lived up to expectations. All 3 of us loved our breaky choices. The coffee was great too. The French Toast was on a specials board, and when I complimented on how delicious it was and suggested it should make it to the regular menu, with a smile the wait staff knew "You're not a local then" (yep, from a whole different state). Every staff member was exceptionally friendly and made us want to stay longer rather than keep driving. I envy the locals there.
