My wife and I decided to go here after the local markets, it was an impromptu affair and boy are we glad we did.
We ordered 4 of the share plates and 2 lemon lime and bitters to start off with.
The first of our meals to arrive was a lovely croquette dish, this came to us as a serving of 4 croquettes and a lovely dipping sauce. The croquettes were very well cooked and the cheddar, sweet corn, and caramelized onion was a great mix, very sublime. This was offset well with the tomato and green chili chutney which to my liking was not spicy at all.
The second dish that arrived was was a pork belly taco dish my one minor complaint was that it was smaller then I thought. But nonetheless a wonderful way to eat a taco and a unique dish, well at least to me. The tortilla was soft and the pork belly was very tender but my favorite part was the smoked potato aioli!
The third dish we ordered was a personal favorite of mine beef cheeks in Pedro ximenes. The first time I had this dish was at MoVida in Melbourne and now I can thankfully say I don't have to travel to Melbourne anymore to get my favorite dish. Beautifully tender so you could cut it with a spoon and fantastically moorish a standout dish for me personally.
Our forth dish was the western Australian octopus, both the potato and octopus were cooked very well and the chorizo gave a nice taste to the dish again beautiful sauces accompanied this dish a nice lead up to dessert!
For dessert we ordered the chocolate chamboux, the chocolate was very nice not to rich the caramalized bananas, amazing and added with the honeycomb made you feel like you where eating a more sophisticated and tasty crunchy!
The restaurant was modern and very inviting as Mudgeeraba locals we are proud to see new venues popping up in our backyard and a very glad to have morsels in Mudgeeraba. The staff where always attentive and on hand to help and the little added touches made an impromptu date night all the better for us!
Thank you Morsels and we hope to visit again soon!
First time here last night, what a hidden Gem 5 minutes from home food was 10/10, the warm olives were the best I’ve had, spring rolls were fresh and crispy and the pork belly was also probably the best I’ve had it melted like butter organic wine was delish, I only would have liked a preservative free option but that’s a personal preference. Looking forward to coming back for happy hour as the cocktail list looked amazing! Also have to mention the music was perfect for a relaxing evening. Thanks guys, we will definitely be back!
Great little location and the food tapas is sublime in particular the green papaya salad ; the pork belly is to die for and the wagyu beef awesome really friendly service with live music to accompany lunch won’t stay a secret for long.
excellent service with friendly helpful staff, amazing food, delicious cocktails! (a must try is the lemon meringue martini!! wow! ) why wouldn't you want to go visit? we will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful evening
We had dinner at Morsels on Saturday night and loved it. Amazing cocktails, food and service. And 2 mins down the road from home! The tapas are great and reminded us of some of the food we ate in Spain. Would definitely recommend for a lovely night out.
SO happy to have come across this gem in mudgeeraba. The service from Faye and Carlos was amazing - thank you to the chef who made our delicious tapas and the Rose was to die for! We will definitely be back! My new favourite
A fantastic laid back Sunday lunch, thanks Faye and chef Evan, beautiful food, duck pancakes especially. Next time we’ll stay longer.
The food was amazing 10/10. Great atmosphere, fantastic chef, friendly staff, quality food especially for the price. I will be coming back.
We spontaneously decided to come here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised! The service was warm and welcoming, the cocktails were yummy, and the food delicious! Highly recommend the mussels and the espresso martini! :)
There are no negatives to this place! The food is clean and to die for and the proprietor is delightful, as is the front of house. Cocktails are off the charts
I love this place! Definitely worth checking out, the food was amazing and the service was quick! Staff are awesome too!
P.s try the pork belly yum!
Fantastic food relaxed atmosphere and genuine caring lovely staff. Highly recommend
Beautiful tasty great selection of food, great service by Carlos, good choice of relaxing music, lovely relaxing atmosphere, will definitely be back!
Owned by Faye and Gerard O’Flynn, this family-run tapas and wine bar is an ambient space inside, facing out to the carpark and highway beyond...It’s the food of Chef Geoff Hart that we’ve come to enjoy, a chef who we’d first encountered at Hank, (which he took on to become a hatted restaurant), and then at N3 Tapas Bar...Morsels is worth travelling for, even across the highway! You never know where you’ll find an exceptional chef. Also, it would be a shame to leave such delicious, beautifully presented food for only locals to enjoy!
What a great little place. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was very relaxed and cute.
The menu has a broad range and I think the prices match the quality. I would say the portion sizes could be bigger but all in all it was great.
I will be back.
The food here is AMAZING!!! Definitely the best I've eaten on the Gold Coast. The service was also excellent, the staff were very attentive. Will be coming back next time I'm in the area!
Our meal was unreal attention To detail that keeps customers coming back ,friendly service ,great atmosphere what more could you want from a great local restaurant keep it up 👍
Surprised how great the presentation/taste/service was here. Strongly recommend to taste natural oyster(in various flavor), mushroom pasta(it will surprise you), and king prawns(so savory). Pairing with a couple of beer was excellent choice. Plus, it is so pleasant to be served by the lady. She's very nice. You all must go, if you are still hesitating. Please go and have wonderful experience you never expected. Two thumbs up! 👍👍
Service was good, food was delicious and unique. The lamb tortellini was to die for.
It did take a long time to reach the table, however we were there on a busy Saturday night.
Keep in mind the prices are a little on the high end considering portion size, but it is a boutique restaurant with high quality food. You get what you pay for.
We will be back!
Our favorite stop home from work so a perfect place to propose. Faye and the staff were amazing - to the smallest detail. Amazing food for a large group. Set up was perfect, flowers, cake, the confetti, musician, champagne ready for the perfect moment - all flowing smoothly and silently until the big surprise . Cannot praise them enough. Thank you for helping make a special night a night to remember
