Absolutely loved their hot chocolate. It was a thick, rich decadent hot chocolate where you could see the real chocolate had been mixed in. Their mochas are glorious too. We grabbed a honeycomb block whilst we were there and it was so delicious.
Bow down to the chocolate queen. Possibly my favorite chocolaterie in Melbourne. I may be biased because they make the best chocolate covered orange slices. The way they cook those orange slices is absolute perfection. The right thickness of the orange slice, the perfect amount of sweetness, the spot on ratio of chocolate to fruit. I wipe them out of their entire stock anytime I go. All their other chocolates are equally lovely but the orange slices have a special place in my heart that I used to travel 1 hour for them when I lived in the west.
But don’t come just for the chocolates, their half dark half milk hot chocolate is literal heaven in a cup. You cannot drink another hot chocolate and not use Lizzie’s as the standard. As someone who does not drink coffee, hot chocolates are my go to cafe drink and not one place so far in Melbourne compares. Even Mork could not satisfy my hot chocolate sweet spot as Lizzie has. If you really want to go all out, get a brownie too. You won’t be disappointed, I’ll just leave it at that cause if I get into detail about the freaking brownie this review may start to look like a paid post. No pics because ain’t no one have time to take pics in the presence of chocolate.
Also why is the zomato rating so low? Who is giving Lizzie anything under 5 stars??😱
Such a cute little cosy space, with delicious treats. A little local gem. Kind of hidden away but definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and craving a sweet treat!
I love Lizzies! It's my favourite go to place for special presents or a well deserved treat. Cosy & friendly, have a coffee or a hot chocolate and a brownie...you won't be disappointed.
A great little cafe thats a chocolate wonderland. I tried their dark milk chocolate which was rich and decadent. It wasnt too overly sweet. A perfect place for a chocolate treat after lunch.

My friend and I sat outside here and had a lovely time after our jog recently. I had a latte which was pleasant but not strong enough for my taste. My friend devoured a hot chocolate which was in his words ''f*****g delicious! The best I've had in Melbourne!'' he also had some chocolate, including a rather tasty salted caramel truffle. (Maybe not the best post-exercise diet ;-)) Lovely, unique place!
Abdolutely love their Dark Hot Chocolate and their Milk Chocolate Hazelnut Slabs!! Their Nougatines are not bad as well. Being a milk choc/dark choc kind of person, I actually like their white chocolate nougatines the most. Should check this place out :) The owner is really friendly too.
The best chocolates in town. I took my wife to this little chocolate outlet in Carnegie the other day (14/03/2014). Well once inside she "just melted" for the chocolates. After perusing the many different types of animals, styles and taste/mixes she went berserk and purchased nearly $40.00 worth. We took them home and savoured a few of them (only in moderation she said). Well they are he best hand made chocolates I have had in a very long time. Will definately being going back there next time (without the wife) hahahahaha. Go and try them, they are very delectable and moreish, oh yeah have one of their hot chocolates nothing false about this drink
Can't ask for more. Great chocolate. Go get some. 'nuff said.
Awesome. My wife is addicted to their chocolate... the owners are lovely. Get an ice chocolate!! Everything in here is great and makes for the perfect gift for any discerning chocolate lover.
SALTED CARAMELLLLL. Ok so I literally just ate one of LIzzy's salted caramel truffles and I have never tasted anything so delicious in my life!! GET ONTO IT!! Am yet to try their coffee though...
Lizzy's make the best chocolates in Melbourne. Everything is absolutely beautiful. My favorites are their Cointreau truffles and cappuccino cups. Do yourself a favor....
Always a pleasure to visit for a coffee or hot beverage of your preference. Variety of chocolate creations in boxed gift sets or individual selections. Outdoor seating available for when weather permits and a few tables inside for a cosy ☕️
Consistently good products. Whether you are sitting in for a hot chocolate or buying things like strawberry and cream truffles, you always get superb quality. The chocolates are made on site, so you are supporting a small business, and my new favourite is the raspberry cream truffle. The only drawbacks are the limited seating if you do want to dine in, and not much space in the shop so it can get very crowded, very quickly. But if you love good chocolate, this is a place you should visit. Try them all!
Beautiful little shop run by the owner, lovely chocolate creations. I am a fan of the Peanut Brittle absolutely love it.
A hidden gem, good chocolate , will do efforts to set the chocolate drink the way I like it, (not too sweet, not too heavy). This place always looks closed, so have faith and open the door
Superb chocolate creations and iced chocolates. Delicious chocolates to suit everyone in the family. We love Lizzys chocolates. Once your kids have had an iced chocolate here, nothing compares and they won’t order them elsewhere because they’re not up to the Lizzys standard!
Asked for something bespoke from this wonderful chocolate shop for a party and they absolutely delivered! Highly recommend for quality and service.
Delicious vegan options!! 😍 can’t wait to come back for more!
Really a four and a half rating. Worth making the trip. The stores been in the same location since I can remember say 20 years plus. Which is a testimant to the quality of their chocolates. Chocolate Nougat and Turkish Delight yum plus many other varieties.
