Had takeaway from here, the dishes were of generous servings and very tasty. We ordered the special FR, Seafood and Vegetables, Garlic Chicken and Prawn Dumplings. Best Chinese we've had since moving to SOR.
Lovely welcoming place to have a good meal 😊
Service wasn't the best but was reasonable for me. Hence not 5 star rating. Then again you are in a restaraunt to eat food and not to make friends with the staff right? Dim sum is actually not too bad especially the fried squid. As long as the food stays good I will be returning
Best fried squid!! Full of flavour and texture. Siew mai is big and plump worth mentioning as well.Lets be honest now, you don’t go to a Chinese restaurant for the atmosphere you GO FOR THE FOOD!!! That’s what is most important to me :)
We felt like having Chinese and it did the trick. Not the best we've had but far from the worst. It cost us $50 for two, which is about average nowadays. Would go back again if we were in the area.
This place has been a staple of ours for years now. It's all pretty standard suburban dim sum. The Chilli oil is the best in Perth though, the fried dumplings also right amongst the best. The owners are pretty cranky but that's more humorous than unpleasant.
wth is up with all the negative reviews. I don't know why so many people hate this place? We are regulars here and my fam/friends love it. We like the food and it's so much easier than going out to the city for the exact same thing. I'm just here to eat - People keep going on about the grumpy owners but we are not trying to date them...so really no big deal to us!!?  With good company this place is  - Convenient - local - and has good food -
Dim sum was good. Â Favourites were prawn dumplings, roast pork and the fried prawn with mayo. Went on the weekend and the new waitstaff there were very friendly.
We regularly go out for dim sum aka yum cha and this place is close enough to home so we tend to visit here more than the city based places. Food always yummo - regularly orders include prawn steamed and fried dumplings together with salt n pepper squid tentacles and love the crispy pork in a sweet sauce. As we are regulars we are used to the service and a few great wait staff who greet us with a smile. The owner has his days. I have noticed that if you get there by 12pm you will quickly get a spot however the food seems to have been cooked a little earlier to be ready for the lunch rush so is not as hot as food coming out at the 1pm mark. Worth going a little later and waiting in line which actually moves pretty quickly. No frills restaurant but food delicious. Just keep an eye on your bill as the owner adds up so fast and more than once the bill has been more than I calculated. But don't dare question as you could get your head bitten off.
Haven't been here for a while, decided to give this place another go. The dumplings and roast pork was delicious. Shared the fried noodles between two of us which was actually quite nice. Thumbs up, would go again, also free parking was a plus.
really good dumplings, some of the best BBQ pork around which i wish came in a much larger serve) gotta go early for lunch because towards the tale end the service is non existent. The watermelon juice is too good
Great BBQ pork for takeaway, dining in very much your typical suburban Chinese restaurant. No frills, decent food, pleasant service. Prices are average for Perth.
Has been here so many times and i feel the service has been improved. It was soo bad before. rude owners and employees. But today they weren't that bad. The food was okay.. Went there when they just opened so all the food was freshly cooked.
The dim sum here isn't the best, however the dinner menu is good authentic Cantonese cooking and their dishes are tasty.
Don't know what all these bad reviews are about. One of the best dim sum we have ever had. Plus the fact we could still choose dim sum at dinner. Amazing.
Will be coming back for sure.
I ordered the four season fish and cannot believe how delicious and well presented it was. I felt very welcomed when I walked into the door. I also highly recommend the stuffed prawns and the roast BBQ pork. Best Chinese I've had in a long time.
Great dim sum lunch! Love the prawn dumplings
Read the bad reviews and decided to give it a go anyway. For a Sunday, 11am- service was quick, food always kept coming around and when you asked for something e.g egg tarts, BBQ pork buns etc it actually arrived- fast. No complaints re food. Looking forward to trying the Peking duck next. BBQ pork pastry, siew Mai, har kow and fried stuff were tasty. Will go there again!
Hit & Miss. The two of us opted for dim sum on a Monday for lunch and since trying to get lunch anywhere on a Monday always seems to be a hard task we were just glad to eat!!
The food here was actually quite tasty and for the most part seemed reasonably fresh. They had plenty of choice but they advertise the sizes as small, medium, large and "special" with prices advertised as ranging from about $3.50- 5.90 per dish but for some reason the fried squid came to about $8 and despite ordering about 6 dishes in total none were considered anything but large?
Service is adequate but certainly not friendly or attentive and I'm not sure that cleaning the table across from us with a patrons left over Chinese green tea actually qualifies as "cleaning". Be prepared to say no multiple times as they tended to have a habit of placing food on your table every few minutes whether you want it or not.
Overall: good food, very quick, poor service and questionable & creative pricing.
Went with 6 people on a Friday might and had a good experience. Food came out promptly, was delicious and had the option to get a few yum cha dishes with main courses. Everything was really fresh and the service was prompt. I will go here again!
Yummy Yum Cha near Freo. For those novices unfamiliar with the ritual of yum cha, this Hong Kong style offering of dumplings, fried squid tentacles and other tasty offerings all washed down with chinese tea is ADDICTIVE! Long lines on weekends mean you need to get there for 11 am sharp! Staff are patient with western clumsiness and endless 'what is that?' Ask for the fresh chilli and soy sauce to enhance the delicious flavours. A family tradition in the making!
It's authentic and the fried rice noodles have that wok hei zhi char taste. Very homecooked. It's clean with toilets and even child seats. Friendly staff. The dim sums are slightly pricy but home made. They even remade the xiao long baos because the skin broke for us.
Surprised to find some nice Chinese food in Fremantle. The dishes are quite well done and flavourful
Pretty close to what we have back home
Beautiful space, friendly service, fresh & tasty food. The best Chinese I have had in a long time!
Lovely place. The tea was great and the char siu bao were straight up delicious, the best I’ve had in Perth to date. Definitely need to return to try some of the other dishes.
Delicious flavours. The food here is all so fresh it feels virtuous to eat it. Can't name a favourite dish because it is all so tasty, meltingly tender and varied. It's noisy but great value. A local gem.
