Review Janchi Korean Grill - Narellan

Eric Adi
Recommendation from a friend. My daughter 2nd visit to this restaurant. The restaurant was situated conjunction within the carpark area, easily be found and short walk to the Narellan town centre. Great, clean and friendly service you guys provide. I admit the foods is sweet for my taste buds. Spicy seafood tofu yet not as I remembered, the noodles and rice cake was overly sweet. Side dishes was ok not overwhelming with flavour. BBQ is decent and the price is decent. I enjoyed the atmosphere eating at the restaurant but will take me some time to revisit. Overalls not bad.

Had dinner at this KBBQ restaurant over the weekend and it was amazing! The price was decent for the BBQ Set as the meat came in huge portions, the staff was friendly and very helpful as well. The menu had a large selection and they have vegan and gluten free meals as well. Will definitely recommend and come back again with other mates. šŸ‘

Such a great meal the flavours of the meat the sides that come with the BBQ and the service all spot on. Highly recommend great for any event and extremely social with the BBQ in the middle of the table.

Excellent food. Nice courteous staff. A tad pricey but you get a lot for your money and everything tasted great

Our first time here tonight for dinner as a family, 2 adults 2 children & 1 high chair, we booked in advance, we have been seeing so much hype about this restaurant and decided to try for ourselves. The service staff were great we were promptly seated and given menus, our bbq banquet didn't take long to arrive to our table, the service is speedy and with a smile, We chose BBQ SET 3 the variety of meats suited our family perfectly & the quality & quantity were great! We had a great time at Janchi Korean Grill tonight and we will most definitely be dining here more often! 3 and a half stars from our family, keep up the good work!

If you live in the Narellan area and looking for something a little different, Janchi Korean restaurant is for you. We had the Korean barbecue and it worked out at around $30 per person plus drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean cool and comfortable and overall was a really great dining experience. I would recommend this place to everybody.

Honestly this is one of my favourite Korean bbq I have ever dine into, the food was delicious and amazing. I order set 3 and I didnā€™t expect the meat to be fresh and very tasty, along with the fried chicken. I order the fried soy chicken the second time because the chicken was well cooked and well seasoned. The kids were enjoying and was very happy with their foods.I was very impressed how amazed the chefs did such a great job with their cooking skills. Not only the food was delicious and amazing but the whole restaurant was spotless and clean, the staffs were friendly, polite and very well mannered by welcoming us towards our table as we entered, watching each and one of the staff welcoming others into the store with the same energy was very impressive. I would love to go back to janchi Korean grill restaurant because of the good services, the bbq sets and of course the fried chicken. I definitely recommend this place to have dinner out with your family, birthday dinner and other special events dinner. Absolutely amazing and fabulous 5/5 stars āļø

Went here for Sunday dinner without a booking. Got lucky to get a seat because almost all tables are booked. Ordered Spicy Pork, Bibimbap and the Korean Fried Chicken. The serving of Spicy Pork is very generous and it also has the right amout of kick. I prefer more gochujang in my Bibimbap but overall it is good. Finally, the Fried Chicken. The chicken was nice but the flavor we got, I remember correctly, had cheese and coconut which is a pretty unique combination. I was not really fan of that flavor though. Oh, also take rice instead of chips!

Nice casual place, food was okay, my favourite was the wagyu by far. I do wish they would give you more salad portions as i feel that goes so well with all the meats you eat. Either way was a nice experience and cool find near Campbelltown. Ps.. The plum wine was also beautiful!

A nice little Korean joint hidden away in Narellan, Janchi specialises in KBBQ but also dish out a few other Asian classics. We had the pleasure of trying out their Takoyaki, Cheesy Chicken and Garlic Fried Chicken. Overall each dish was quite good and gave us exactly what you'd want out of them, the Takoyaki was a ball of delicious hotness, the cheesy chicken was super cheesy and the fried chicken was nicely crispy with tender chicken inside.

The only issue was the over inflated prices, with our meal of three dishes costing about $75. I understand quality food takes time and money but while the food was good, it wasn't $75 good especially for the serving sizes (which weren't very small but definitely not great for their price).

I'd love to try out a few of their other dishes considering how good the first few were, but with the cost being so high I'm somewhat hesitant to do so.

I am giving this place 5 stars because the wagyu that was cooked to perfection by the chef was one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life. I honestly can't put it into words, you just have to go and try it for yourself.
I stumbled across this place on a Saturday and decided to book it for dinner that night. I ordered one of the sets and it was at a very decent price with many sides (including my favourite- cheesy corn). It got a little busy so the waiters were running around and although forgot to refill my sides the first time, he happily went straight away when I asked for it again. I also saw the waiter place meat straight onto the grill for other tables and cut up the meat which is a great level of service. We spoke to him when we paid for the bill and this restaurant is fairly new, it has been open for only 7 months. The only critique, add more sides to each plate as when it was brought out, it looked very minimal.Ā

Funny enough, I rarely eat at places back to back but I will be back this Friday night for a bday dinner! Can't wait!

We ordered seafood pancake and pork soft tofu soup. I loved the pancake, it was packed with seafood and veggies. Soft inside, yet a little crispy outside. it was a 4+ star dish for me.
But the soup really let me down. Salty, tasted like a instant noodle flavour, yet no better. Pork in the soup was a bit smelly for me.
As I live near by the restaurant, I might go there again to try other dishes if I crave for Korean food.
The most amazing food. Fresh. Succulent. Tasty. This place is a gem. The service is outstanding and the staff are friendly and attentive. Iā€™m so excited that we have this place and canā€™t wait to bring more family and friends there because I know it will be a smash hit!

Finally, we donā€™t have to head into Strathfield for quality Korean food! Go for the spicy rice cake, crispy fried chicken or beef bulgogi. The plum tea is not on the menu but worth the special request. The sides seem small but are fastidiously refilled by friendly staff. We have been back multiple times!

Staff were very polite and accommodating, food was very delish.
All bbq sets came with nice side dishes too.
We did go on a Saturday night the team looked a little under the pump.
Overall the food was still amaze

Amazing food! Fast and friendly service. So nice to have Korean food in my new neighbourhood. Please stick around. The pork Kim chi soup was incredible and the Korean fried chicken is a must

Amazing food and friendly, helpful staff. Itā€™s genuine, authentic Korean BBQ - nothing watered down for westerners but donā€™t let that be a deterrent if you are unfamiliar, the menu descriptions and the staff are extremely helpful.
Plenty to choose from, well priced and BYO.
Admittedly decor not super inviting but the food is so good that you donā€™t care. Canā€™t wait to come back and try some more.
A bold claim, but I would say this is the most authentic and uncompromising Asian cuisine in Macarthur area. Try the beef bibimbap and the Korean fried chicken.

Nice to have Korean food in our area now. My dolsot bibimbap was tasty, and came with banchan (small side dishes, a fun and integral part of a Korean meal). Somewhat unusually, Janchi also offers desserts (we enjoyed our Korean pancake).
Service was friendly and prompt. Will go back!

Tried Janchi for lunch today really impressed food was really good. Service and staff were friendly and accommodating.
We had some dumplings and fried chicken for the the kids all really good,
My wife did the beef bibimbap which she enjoyed.
We also do a bbq set with beef and pork the meat was really good quality and marinated perfectly.
They told us they have yet to get a liquor license but u could BYO
Do not have seafood on the BBQ set yet but we were informed it is coming.
The owners made a point of coming over and talking and going through the things on the menu and even cut and turned things on the BBQ.
Overall a very welcome addition to the local food scene in the Macarthur worth a try.
