Food, service and location was fantastic. Will definitely be back.
THE BEST FOOD EVER!!!! So impressed with the quality and wouldn't consider to buy anywhere else!
the BEST Thai on the northern beaches. So fresh, beautiful flavours, and great value. Try the family set. Such good value, and their restaurant is reallyp pleasant too.
Absolutely the best Thai food on the beaches
Great spot on Narrabeen Lake. Entrance is along Pittwater Road near the main bus stop and highly recommend sitting at the back with the view of the lake. Their laksa is creamy with that hint of chilli, the spring rolls are very moreish and the duck in plum sauce was cooked perfectly.
We have ordered from Rice & Lake Thai on many occasions and they have satisfied our Thai food cravings. Our only let down was the pad thai (upsettingly) which we ordered for delivery. It didn't taste fresh and it was quite bland. Aside from the pad thai, everything has always been on point and we highly recommend the Thai custard with sweet sticky rice for dessert.
Such good food, great atmosphere and lovely staff. If you book ahead, try and get a spot through the restaurant out the back, there's a lovely view of the Narrabeen Lake. A great place for functions or just a night out with friends.
Some people think it's a little pricey but I was more than happy to pay $20 for a HUGE serving of Massaman Curry complete with plenty of sauce and Roti. It was just divine and a huge portion.
Other notable goodies are the yellow curry, Pad Thai, Chicken Satay and crumbed prawns. All were tasty.
Overall a really great Thai restaurant with excellent food!
I love a good suburban restaurant, they are usually family run, lovely food and good value. Although Rice and Lake might be a dollar or two more expensive per dish than the average suburban Thai restaurant, that is because the food is most definitely better than average. Thus it is still excellent value for money. The courtyard dining area out the back is right on Narrabeen lakes so it has an amazing outlook to boot. Great for families, the kids can play out on the grass in full view of the courtyard dining area out the back (where you want to sit anyway).
We dined on a Sunday evening and with daylight savings, enjoyed an absolutely beautiful evening. There were four of us and three starters, three mains and rice was enough food and at under $100 was never going to break to bank. All dishes were very lovely with the Betel Leaf Mieng Kham starter (a dressed prawn, coconut, peanut beef and more salad you wrap inside a betel leaf) being a stand-put and the beef Pha Naeng Curry especially delicious.
Highly recommended if you are in the area and with family now in the area, dining here will most definitely be on regular rotation.
