Consistently good food and service. Generous portion sizes. Asian dishes with authentic flavours and western favourites that are made well. I will take their steak over some much fancier places any day! The only shortfall I've noticed is they can never get a lemon, lime and bitters quite right (always seems to be quite flat)
Always massive portions and great value for money! Food is always good. Have been back many times :)
I’ve visited the Groove Train a few times over the years and it’s always a reliable choice. Great food. Great atmosphere. And plenty to choose from! Especially love the focaccia’s :)
We had Calamari and a parma at Groove Train last week. The calamari was one of the best calamaries we’ve had. The parma was delicious, despite the absence of mushroom sauce (Which I just forgot to ask for haha!). the portion is huge and will definitely satisfy you. Only downside is their dishes are a little pricey, but its only because they are high quality and also huge servings. Would 100% recommend if you’re happy to pay the extra $$.
My family and I had lunch here recently and I cannot fault this place. Excellent top quality food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back.
Food: I ordered the chicken parma which was good. Nothing special. Tasted like a good chicken parma. It comes with a salad and chips. The chips are cut a bit too large but otherwise okay. We also had the tasting favourites entree, steak and chicken salad both were pretty good. Mushroom sauce (optional) which you can add to steak order was delicious.
Ambience: the place is quite large. We got a booth which was nice. Got seated right under the air duct though so some of us were a little cold. But the atmosphere was great.
Service: the staff were all very friendly. Had to wait a little while for the food but that was alright. Got our drinks really fast. And staff were always around if we needed anything.
Interesting menu with good specials, the prices are a little high but the servings are generous. Good cocktail list and the regular bar options. Service was good and prompt, food was done well and with care.
I have never been a fan of the Groove train in the past, I didn't like the City experience or the Eastern Suburb experience at the time. However I was pleasantly surprised by Casey Central Groove train particularly as it is attached to a shopping centre. The food was enjoyable, the service is always excellent, an entree may be adequate for lunch & for anyone who is opposed to unnecessary wastage they will allow you to take your leftovers home if you choose. The meals in my opinion are huge. It is a casual environment & it can get very busy during peak time. It appears to be a popular spot during school holidays particularly.
FOOD IS AMAZING but i would like to see more seafood options, they have the same specials menu every time i go so fish of the day is always the same. the pasta is good as well but they aren't afraid to pile up your plate with all their pasta dishes.
Went here for dinner tonight and decided to check out Groove Train at the newly revamped Cassy Central Shopping Centre.
The Groove Train was extremely impressive! The service was prompt, efficient and friendly with us being shown to a table immediately, provided water and offered drinks.
Our waitress was lovely and provided suggestions when we were overwhelmed with the menu options (everything sounded incredibly delicious!). My partner ordered the Spaghetti Pescatore ($26.90) and it was huge! I ordered the Pumpkin and Spinach Risotto ($22.90) and it was also a large portion size. They also offer take away options and have lovely looking take away boxes, to which we saw many people leaving with them suggesting all the menu options were of a large size.
We were observing what other people were ordering and all the food seemed to be delivered promptly and everything looked delicious (Crispy Southern Fried Chicken Burger especially!).
The vibe is casual but warm with modern booths, lighting and greenery. I will definitely be back to try some of the other divine looking menu items!
I love to eat here! So much that I forget to take a photo of my food before I chow it down!
Always a good atmosphere, prompt service and friendly! Food is dilicious and by far one of the best out of the Groove Chain franchises!
However, during peak periods I suggest making a booking! As it seems everyone else loves it too!
Food - 8.5
Service - 8
Atmosphere - 8.5
Great vegeterian options! Large portions, lamb pizza was incredible and the watermelon and cucumbee juice was a refreshing finish. Lovely buzzing restuarant!
Bright, freshly decked out place. Nice atmosphere, music perhaps a little too loud.
Prompt, friendly and attentive service by the staff.
My partner and I both ad the bruschetta. It was a late lunch for us and we didn't want anything too big or heavy.
Well, big! The serving size was huge, well worth paying for, value for money.
The ingredients were very fresh and crisp, sauce drizzled over was appealing and decorative. A wonderful mix on the palette, well worth trying.
We've been to other Groove Train places, and this was the first time we attended the Narre Warren premises.
I'd say, we will be coming back to this one in particular because it has been a positive experience.
The cappuccino and latte were perfect, and the fresh carafe of water served to us upon seating was cold( the way it should be).
Clean and tidy premises, with happy staff makes this a good place to visit.
The French toast and grilled banana was a generous serving and was very yummy. My mum had the big breakfast and said it was okay the portion size was great but the egg was dry. Our waiter was amazing! She kept my table tidy and well stocked with cold water and made genuine small talk.
The iced chocolate was delicious.
We celebrated a joint birthday there this evening! DELICIOUS FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE! Very impressive looking Meals! Nice friendly staff. Overall we're very satisfied! Keep up the good work guys!!
My parents and I went here to celebrate a late father's day! It was pretty hectic when we arrived inside, but we were lucky enough to get a table for three! The meal I ordered for tonight was the Spaghetti Alla Groove, one of their signature dishes. The pasta was cooked well, the chicken was a tiny bit dry, but it was still enjoyable, and the spring onion did enhance the flavour of the napoli sauce! I also tried a bit of parent's calamari and the fish of their dishes. The salt and pepper calamari was crunchy, tender, and well seasoned!
But the show stopper of the night is their signature dessert: the Nutella calzone! This nutella and strawberry filled calzone was warm, crunchy, and oozing out goodness! I'll admit it was a bit hard to cut through the bottom of the pastry to equally share with my parents. The nutella was definitely oozing, but some of the nutella dried up a bit. But it seriously doesn't matter because I do love nutella a lot! Eating this with vanilla ice cream was definitely amazing with this dessert!
Overall, the atmosphere was relaxing and friendly, the waiters and waitresses all gave a beautiful service with smiles on their face, and the portions are quite generous and matched the prices they had for it! I'm definitely visiting this restaurant again!
Visited for brunch the other day. Yummy food. Family friendly. A little slow and coffee is hit and miss. Mine was good hubbies was awful. Got a take away a few days later and it sooo bitter.
😍 Finally got Groove Train close to home. I usually come here for the breakfast :), it is actually good amount of food and everything tastes really fresh! However it may be a little pricy, considering the add ons for specific items. Other than that, I would recommend everyone to come here to try their breakfast menu that lasts until 3pm. Next time, I would like to try the dinner menu which looks very appetising.
Other than that it's amazing 10/10 💕
