The restaurant had relocated from Fountain Gate shopping center to a few streets away (35 Webb St, Narre Warren). They serve very good and authentic Thai food for a good price. Lunch menu is only $12 and it is much better than Kinn or D'Elephant Thai. Well worth the trip. Curry is thick and not sweet unlike some Thai restraurants.
Had the barramundi garden and it was tasty and full of flavour. Went back for round 2 last weekend and saw the restaurant had closed btw this is at fountain gate. Kinn Thai has replaced Poppy’s 😔
First time eating at Poppy’s thai, and it did not disappoint. Lunch menus definitely worth it! 🤤and the thai milk tea was one of the best I’ve had so far!

Great for groups of people who want to have a satisfying meal for a reasonable price. I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants and the service and quality of food I receive from here is always at a high standard.
Cute and small shop with some cool deco, albeit tucked in a not-so-obvious location in Fountain Gate. This is an absolute gem! Food was authentic, tasty, portion size was good. Overall a very pleasant experience. Will definitely be back.
Went here for dinner and it was full packed but they have enough staff to attend to customers. Our orders were served in a reasonable amount of time. The deep fried barramundi was cooked nicely! Family friendly space. Less noise. Polite staff
Most authentic and delicious Thai food I have eaten in Melbourne. Yellow chicken curry & Tom yum soup are unreal. Would recommend! Good service plus friendly staff
Had dinner and the food was good. Wouldn't call it out of the world but can't say it was bad. Flavour was there and the portion sizes decent but the price was a bit more than what it needs to be. The service was prompt but the interiors definitely needs an upgrade as it feels dated and not maintained well. Overall decent experience.
Amazing! Very happy to have found this place (by accident). Ordered the Pad Thai & Lemon Grass to have a base line for comparison. Both were spot on! Very authentic. Costs a little more than your average noodle shop but the servings are quite generous and my taste buds tell me it's absolutely worth it. No more cheap noodles for me. This joint rocks!

Quick service but when we enquired what cider and pale ale was served our waitress couldn't tell us so she went and got a bottle of each...😮😮😮

Tasty food and reasonable service, food was out quite quickly and done well, good satay. They were quite busy and the noise level was quite high but one of the better Thai options in the area.

The service is very friendly. A lady kept coming to check on us even though we sat in the very corner. Food is yummy, price is little pricey than other places for Thai food. However it's reasonable. The place is spacious, cosy and quiet.
Also there are lots of parking because it's in Fountain Gate SC. Around there also has San Churros And movie hall. Perfect for a date :)
Came for a casual dinner on a Saturday night - boy does this place get busy! We were seated immediately on arrival, overall the atomosphere has a comfortable family feel to it. Like most thai places the menu caters to vegetarians well - flavours are strong and authentic. The red curry we ordered was a hit, and prices are very affordable and budget friendly. Only down side is the service; wait staff are very simple with their approach and dont bother to connect with their patrons, however very understandable due to how crazy busy it is. Still, id come back here again as im pleased with the food!
Absolutely amazing food! Best Thai food I've ever had, the coconut rice was mouth watering. Soup was full of flavours and the Pad See Ew was delicious!! We've found our new favourite Thai place, that's all I can say.

Poppy's Thai Restaurant is a popular eatery hosted right outside the cinemas of Fountain Gate Shopping Centre. With it's inviting appeal and cultural ambience you are sure to have a great time with your family and friends. I visited this restaurant last Friday with my family. Though it looked like a very busy night for the restaurant we were still treated with care. We were seated within the minute we arrived and was asked for drinks momentarily. The waitress did not hesitate to give us the recommendations for family sizes and even pointed us to the most popular dishes in the Menu. When we let the waitress know that my brother has a peanut allergy she was able to confirm with the kitchen that he can get his lemongrass beef dish without the peanuts.
The food was delectable and roared of the traditional Thai spices and flavours that we were hoping for. I've always a sucker for coconut rice and we were given 2 large family sized bowls with them. I got to admit, the pad thai was a bit dry but nonetheless the flavours of the lemongrass beef and the beef curry compensated for that. At the end of our meals we also ordered fried ice cream which was done with a twist of strawberries and fruits sprinkled with chocolate syrup. A perfect way to end our night. Great family environment, vegetarian friendly and quite affordable for it's price. We'll definitely be back for you again, Poppy's Thai! :)

Today my family and I wanted to go here for dinner. The last time I was here was exactly two years ago and it was an alright experience. This time of round, it was definitely better. My family and I were served by a lovely waitress who made us feel very welcome. My main for tonight was the Seafood Pad Thai. It definitely had a lot of flavour, perfectly cooked seafood and noodles. As for dessert, I ordered the Coconut Pudding with ice cream and fruit. I really enjoyed the warm coconut pudding mixing with the cold vanilla ice cream. The only negative was that my family and I ordered another dessert, but it didn't come with the first dessert. However, this was due to a technical error on their phone to the kitchen, so it's not an entirely bad thing.
Overall, the experience was nice and I do hope to visit again!
Above average food and service is quite fast given how packed it gets on Friday nights and weekends. The menu is your general, staple Thai restaurant menu. There is no pretence of being anything that they are not and it's a dependable place to eat if you're in the area.
They've packed in the tables so it can get a little tight on busy nights. But the ambience is generally quite good.

Probably my favourite restaurant in the area! We always get the Roti Bread entree as we seem to have developed an addiction to it. There's a big selection of flavoursome dishes, great for vegetarians too. Service has always been pleasant. Slightly too expensive for me to go regularly but I always end up coming back because it's worth it.
Amazing chicken satay. Had their chicken satay skewers with homemade peanut satay sauce and jasmine rice. Amazing. And really well priced too.

Have been here a few times. This is usually the place to go for a lunch or dinner with "the girls". Love the coconut rice, and of course the green curry chicken. Friendly service, not overly expensive, and an outdoor seating area for the warmer weather where you can watch the toings and froings of the shopping crowd. None of us have ever been unhappy with our meal.
Great Thai food. Had Sunday lunch here and the food was spectacular !! Delicious, well presented great and friendly service, one of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne.

Staff are always happy, friendly and helpful. Prawn crackers with satay sauce is a great way to start. Do yourself a favour and ask for extra sauce. The crying tiger beef salad is lovely. Coconut rice is to die for.. Highly recommended.
Delicious Thai. Have been here a few times. The restaurant is really nice looking and in a great spot at Fountain Gate. The food is everything you'd expect from a nice Thai restaurant.
