Love the curry Katsu udon. Portion is good and food is always served fresh and hot.
The food was very filling as the portion was big, especially for the price. The employees were also very kind and helpful when we required assistance. This is the 3rd Rice Workshop I have visited. Love the place and know when I see the sign its the place I am going to choose for lunch!
This is a good joint for modern Japanese cuisine. The service is always quick and friendly! Perfect for a quick bite or take away as well.

Very authentic ramen packed full of flavour. Have been coming here for a while now and have tried other ramen places but definitely prefer this place. Their curry chicken is also on point.
Variety of ramen soups available. The broth is amazing and the best thing there is no msg in their soup apart from one broth in which you can ask about! The tonkotsu and chicken ramen is amazing and they also have Udon noodles available. The agedashi tofu is delicious and you will leave feeling very satisfied. The service is great and is authentic Japanese.

I had the matcha Ice cream the other day. It was absolutely delicious! I Would definitely recommend giving it a try. I plan on trying the black sesame ice cream next time I visit.

Went here for lunch the other day and had some amazing food I loved the teriyaki chicken rice bowl, it was perfect filing lunch very tasty and for a great price. Staff were nice and very polite and got my meal ready fast so I didn’t have to wait around. Only thing I’d change is having a little more sauces to use.

Best quick Japanese option in Fountain Gate, and quality of the food is consistently good. Love the original beef with egg. Only downside is that sometimes the fried foods on display, like tempura are not always crispy.
My go to shop whenever I want Japanese food. I love their curries and their bentos especially the Angus beef. Service is quick and food is good. I also like that we can put the spicy sauce on our own instead of being given only a measly amount like in Chadstone or in Melb Central.

I ordered chicken teriyaki for lunch on a busy day. The food was really fresh and well presented. The chicken itself was very tender, lots of flavour and juicy. The rice also had plenty of flavour and good seasoning. I highly recommend this food for anyone who wants a fresh healthy and substantial dish.

For food court food, this sound be my favourite. I love the spicy chicken kaarage. The servings are generous and always fresh. I love the additional pickle and the salad for freshness. The salmon bowl was a bit average, as I like my salmon pink so I found it a bit dry. The JFC chicken is overpriced for what you get and wont get it again but everything else is great.
I ordered chicken Teriyaki on rice and it was really yummy. Even my fussy eater toddler loved it. GREAT location too inside the food court. Will keep coming back

I always come here for matcha soft serve ice cream. They are awesome. If you feel savory, katsu curry rice is not bad. I try other things too but i would not recommend them though, nice staff but long wait

My hubby Ordered beef rice bowl and it was generous serving! I ordered the salmon bites and it was also good serving- the rice has seasoning and includes some salad and ginger pieces, that makes the dish better than your typical Japanese style eatery in Aus.
I think the price is very reasonable, including the little entrees displayed (Japanese pancake $2.5), iced tea ($2), and green tea ice cream. If you like gooey egg on your rice dishes, their egg cooked at 68 degrees is yum!
I was so happy when I discovered this place Japanese food yum yum! They make bowls all so generious and full of flavour! Great service and heaps of healthier options to choose from.

My go-to for a cheap, delicious matcha-black sesame softserve in either charcoal or matcha waffle cone - cannot get it anywhere else in F/gate.
They are just as efficient, tasty, and friendly as most RW chains - namely CBD and Knox.
food came extremely fast but was disappointed in the amount of substance there was too the tempura prawn udon bowl.
