What I loved the most, aside from their fried chicken of course, was the helpful and enthusiastic staff who helped us choose the best meal for our buck. Will definitely come back next time!
Service was fast and efficient, food tasty and good size portions, i had the lunch special chicken burger and the Korean dumplings, really enjoyed both dishes.
This was our spot for lunch during work. The lunch specials were going on so decided to gice it. Go for the first time. Theres ample seating in the restaurant though the service was quite slow given that it was just the two of us present at that time.
I opted for the stir fry chicken with veggies and my friend for the katsu burger. My stir fry was really good with teriyaki based sauce for the chcken, cbbage mix and some greens on an apple dressing. Quite a good choice there.
The katsu burger looked massive with the pound of meat inside it. A good treat nevertheless.
Stil i feel that the fried chicken is the way to go here though this was a good experience too. Didnt see the volcano sauce on the menu which was a worry in case i did go back.
I’ve been to Gami before but not the one in Fountain Gate. A few friends and I went here for Korean food and ordered corn cheese, mandu (dumplings) and spicy chicken to share. I really enjoyed the mandu, would definitely order it again.
I ordered take away. Tteokbokki with cheese, marinated wings, kimchi pancake and fried rice cake. It came with a complementary salad and radish side dish.
I absolutely love Gami. The food is fantastic, prices are alright and the atmosphere is very chill. They have many options if you can’t handle spice and their chicken is out of this world! Highly recommend!
Justice to Korean Fried Chicken! This is an amazing concept. The Chicken & Flavors pair really well together and the rest of the selection of foods work well with the Chicken. Service is decent and atmosphere is great, open space, comfortable seating. I try and drop in once in two months!
A friend of mine actually recommend this place to me. I believe these guys make a pretty DAMMM good fried chicken, that I found was really good - loved all the sauces it comes with, however you can have it without the sauce if you wish.
One of the things about the fried chicken is the fact that it wasnt too greasy; like some places I've been to you'll have like a ton of oil dripping off just one piece of chicken which can be gross. But here you'll get none of that.
Another thing I tried out was the potato wages. Its like in a small pan, where there is this heap of lovely cheese sauce topped with potato wages.
The savice was wonderful. The style of the resturant is quite enlighting, and all the tables and seats are well arranged - so it doesnt feel like you just packed in like can of sardines. I actually qute liked the color combination as it honestly reflected on the resturant's logo and website, etc etc.
It’s very satisfying,we ordered Boneless Chicken with spice half just frying,Jap Jae and seafood spice soup, taste just incredible.
I will recommend Boneless Chicken bit expensive but it met the taste.
The crispy and succulent whole friend chicken comes with coleslaw and radish (if you ask for it). You can choose up to two sauce flavours for the fried chicken which is good if you’re dining with people. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy however, the seasoning sauce Gami squeeze on top of the coleslaw tasted like tomato sauce which was odd to me. Staff were helpful and patient and seating is plentiful. Gami is good restaurant to eat in if you’re hungry for fried chicken and don’t want to eat KFC.
I feel so satisfied I've had Gami 2 days in a row now lol. Tried out a few different dishes today. Had the spicy chicken which was a lunch special for $12 came with some spicy chicken and salads which was really inviting and refreshing. Next came out the boneless chicken and chips which is a great combo the boneless chicken is to die for here, everyone always goes on about it. Then ordered the fried Gyozas which they're called something else. Service was on the slow side and it wasn't even that busy. But ohh boy I could eat fried chicken from here all day with their delicious sauces to choose from.
If you want something different to a traditional sit down restaurant experience, look no further. This place is epic. The fried chicken is spectacular. Original is definitely the best, and the chilli is HOT and amazing. Definitely put this place on the to-go list. Totally worth it.
Absolutely LOVE Gami. Have gone and had lunch/dinner here many, many times. My favourites are the obvious Korean Fried Chicken (wings) in Sweet Chilli and Spicy, and occasionally Original dipped in the creamy sauce that they serve with the Gami Chips. Oh the chips.. they are so crunchy and amazingly sinful in a good way! What else is sinful? The corn cheese! Served in a sizzling plate, it is a gooey cheesy buttery milky goodness of corn. Oh my corn goodness. And another favorite, the Jap Chae aka Sweet Potato noodles... soooo good. And occasionally I would go for the Chicken Spare Ribs instead of the wings. Just writing this is making me salivate. Hungry now. Thankfully I have already made plans to meet up with a friend for lunch at Gami tomorrow ;) So happy we finally have a KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) outlet in our South Eastern suburban area!!
Loved this place! I went with friends so we decided to order a few dishes. We got the boneless chicken which comes with coleslaw and that we could choose 2 sauces either to be marinated with it or to be drizzled on top. We got the jap chae, the chicken burger and the potato heaven as well. The chicken burger contained apple, it was different for me as i have never had apple in my burgers, but i got to say im definitely ordering that again. The potato heaven was just sooooo good!!! The bottom layer was mashed potato, then ther was a layer of cheese, followed by a layer of wedges and topped with sour cream. It was very filling. Definitely coming again😊
My friends really enjoyed the chicken at this place. To me it is nice but a little bit sweet for my taste. The sausage was absolutely yummy though. Staff was nice and friendly.
Probably one of the best fried chicken dish I’ve tried! Korean fried chicken has a distinct flavour that you’ll crave for it once you’ve tried. You can order a serving with two different sauces so that means you can try two different flavours without paying extra.
Great place for vegos and meat lovers, even a chicken option for vegetarians - food was great, chips were super crunchy - win win - delicious ! Compliments to the chef 👌🏻
Really yummmy! Nice crunch outside and juicy inside ❤️ highly recommended for sweet chili chicken 👍🏻 lot better than other Gami
Service great! Food great! A place everyone shouldn’t miss😏
I had spicy and sweet chilli and I loved both of them as takeaway. Not too sure about their in-store service yet but will definitely come back for another meal. Must-try if you live nearby.
If you're struggling where to eat out next in the otherwise dearthly lands of Narre Warren, GAMI can offer you some scrumptious Korean fried chicken. I personally love the soy garlic flavour. That and the corn cheese stuff are my favourite. I'd still hog 51% of the corn cheese when I share that with a friend.
Delicious food! Great place! Love their tap beers as its exclusive to gami only! Definitely a must try place for those that's never been to gami
Great service, funky place and yummy quick casual food..
A constant in our dinner faves..
The boneless chicken with sweet chilli is a must and the layered potato dish is oddly extremely tasty...
My first time at Gami with a group of friends and it was an amazing experience, service was friendly and quick, no waiting around trying to get attention.
Had a few starters and gami signature fried chicken
Some Chips, Super Super crunchy even after an hour of chatting away
Spicy seafood soup was suprisingly jam packed with so much seafood! Nice and spicey just as the menu said.
Now to the famous fried chicken, to be honest im not a fan of fried chicken, BUT Gami’s chicken was amazingly juicy on the inside and super crunchy on the outside, even the serving we had which is coated with the popular Soy Garlic sauce was still super crunchy and delish!
Cant wait to go back
This place is good but not great.
The chicken was juicy and crispy but was missing something. The flavour just wasn't quite there.
Gun Bae pale ale is the best part and you can only get it there so definitely a reason to go back
Awesome fried chicken, chapche, rice cake and ect. Really nice service, the staff always check to make sure you are happy. Take a while to have your food on the table, but its worth the wait
A few weeks ago we needed to find some dinner before visiting the family and came across Gami in Fountain Gate!. We ordered a few different dishes. We had the rice cakes, kim chi pancakes and the wings!. The kim chi pancake was a little different to what we were used to. Taste wise it was the same but this was a lot thicker and had a lot more kim chi in it. Because of this it was a little hard to pick up because it kept breaking but still tasted good!
Friendly service, yummy food, my favorite r soy garlic and sweet chilli chicken with bones. Nice and modern decoration with big space and high ceiling, great place for catching up with friends and movies.
One of the best Gami restaurants I've been to! I've been twice since it's opening, and I'm thrilled to have one open within the Fountain Gate shopping centre. The decor and lighting is tasteful and inviting, and the service was exceptional. On both occasions, I was greeted warmly and seated immediately upon arrival. I'd definitely recommend the boneless half and half mix! The chicken is cooked well, and although I know it should be traditionally consumed alongside beer, I prefer the Korean grape drinks instead (endearingly termed "bong bong"). Side dishes and sauces could be improved, and I found the tteokbokki to be too watery. Overall, a conveniently situated and rather affordable Korean experience!
Service was friendly and fantastic. We were acknowledged and got a seat right away. The decor was modern, restaurant was spacious and comfortable. We ordered the 12 wings with soy garlic and spicy sauce and the spicy seafood soup. Both were super delicious. We enjoyed this gami much better than the ones in the city as the ones in the city are usually too busy and here we don't have to wait long for a table. Will be visiting this gami again!
Friendly, fast & helpful service. Korean food, which is new to me. Specialise in fried chicken, which we found to be hot, fresh, juicy, crunchy and tender and not greasy. A few interesting side dish choices. We had the corn with cheese, which I found to be a touch too sweet. My grape soft drink with fruit bits in it was a bit out of the ordinary and I enjoyed it (watered down, as it's also very sweet).
First time at gami.
Seated right away and given complimentary shrimp crackers and pickled radish Staff were attentive coming to take our orders within a few minutes of being seated.
We had cheesy corn - I ate about two spoons, Its way too sickening and way too sweet, they shouldn't add more sugar to the corn.
Fried chips - very delicious and very very crispy. Then got sickening as I notice there was sugar on it too.
We ordered 8 chicken wings half spicy/half original
Original Wings were delicious and cooked to perfection. Spicy was for my partner and it was extremely spicy! 🙈
Points lost here was for the dirty cups and spoons we got.
High seats are also very small tables. Seated very close to other people.
Would be back for the original chicken
Gami - Chicken and Beer. Fried chicken Korean style.
We went to Gami before a movie at Fountain Gate. One of our group had been here before so we knew what to expect in a way. As you walk in there's a warm but industrial ambiance. Raw timber walls in one section and brightly coloured steel in others. Service was prompt and attentive. The menu had plenty of options, fried chicken being the primary dish which was crispy, fresh and tender. Various side dishes like Potato Heaven and a corn and cheese dish with a light bechemal sauce. There's an extensive drinks menu also with local and international beers, with wines and soft drinks as well.
I would recommend Gami for anyone looking for something other than the normal fast food outlets or for a relaxed informal dining experience.
Cheeseburger Anyone? "Where's The Sauce"?
+5
Yep! They've done it again! Great work..
Another new gami. They are expanding every day!! Tried something different this time as I've noticed the honey soy always makes me feel uncomfortable due to so much garlic.. insted of boneless chicken we tried the wings this time and got sauce on the side! Much better as you can put as much sauce as you like! I ate mine with honey mustard and it was fantastic. Beautifully cooked crispy chicken with a nice cool refreshing coleslaw on the side! Full! Satisfied! And dont need a cheeseburger!!
Also didn't notice much grease which is a bonus.
Very good quality chicken and loved how they filled up the tubs to the top with sauce.
Would recommend 10/10
My wife and I love the food and service. We have been loyal customers the last few years, highly recommended. Salute to Eva, the manager, for speedy service and keeping the restaurant 5stars!
