Wonderful service and excellent food and coffee every time we go there! Very classy and I feel very much at home there...authentic French !
There are a number of patisseries around that try to be truly French, but this is the best I’ve found.
Great options on the menu, and we had good food (had the mushroom and chicken crepe, the avo bruschetta and a sausage roll and mince pie). The crepe serve was huge, could easily be shared between two. My chai latte was a bit bland though and they forgot our milkshake so we waited until we were all done eating before my little one finally got her drink. Would come back to try more of the food and desserts.

A nice little cafe, with good seating. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Ordered a latte which was amazing! Just perfect .. could not fault. I did think the cabinets looked a bit empty. Nevertheless we opted for two pastries and both were amazing. I will return and recommend this place .

Yum. I love this place, early on a Sunday morning. There is nearly a fight getting into the car when we tell the kids we're doing breakfast at LaGalette.
Cosy cafe. Chocolate eclair is excellent! Other cakes are good, but could be better. Vanilla slice pastry was burnt, which was disappointing, same as the strawberry tart crust. But, a nice cafe for a morning cofe.
BEST CROISSANTS WORST COFFEE. Their almond croissants are worth driving for, they are to die for. The coffee was undrinkable, acidic. I had one sip and left the rest. Go for the croissants, they are THE BEST.
Love it!. One of the few places in Perth I go back to often! I love the crepes and have tried most of them... also yummy macarons, pastries and coffee! Must try if you’re in the area!

Nice spot. Decided to check this place out last weekend due to all the good reviews on here and would have to say they made one of the best coffees Ive ever had here in Perth. Almond croissant was pleasant enough but was rather dry..Nice location and staff were friendly :)
Best coffee I've ever had in Perth. For some reason I never dined at La Galette even though I used to work in an office that was walking distance from this lovely cafe. I'm kicking myself now! We went for crepes and coffee on a rare day off and it was perfect. The chicken and mushroom crepe was delicious! I had to hold myself back from running away with the whole plate, because I had ordered the smoked salmon crepe for myself. The smoked salmon crepe was tasty and simple, with slices of smoked salmon on top of a folded crepe with a dish of sour cream and a lemon wedge.
The coffee was also a highlight, it was the perfect cup of coffee which is so rare! We finished off with a couple of macarons and it ended up being a wonderful start to the day.
Delicious food, perfect coffee and a gorgeous, charming boy to share breakfast with! Can't ask for much more than that :)
Strawberry tart. I was looking around for a birthday cake for a friend who's bit of a baker himself, so I thought I'd get him a tart for something different. IT WAS THE BEST CHOICE EVER! I'm not a fan of overly sweet desserts, but this was good. The strawberries were just sweet enough, and the base was so crumbly and fresh. The lady at the counter recommended this tart over the chocolate one, so I'm still yet to try the chocolate one.
Best on Broadway. For my money, La Galette are putting out the best coffee in walking distance from UWA (this does, of course, exclude Elixir - but it'd be a hard feat choosing a favourite of the two). It's only now that I've bought an espresso setup of my own that I don't make the trek up Broadway before every 9am lecture, but I'll readily admit to missing the alternating 5 Senses single origins and macarons. :(
Great little spot!! I've been looking for awesome macarons and these are WAY better and bigger than the raved about choux cafe. This is the new go to place! Service with a smile- now that's delightful!
Delicieux. A favourite. Lovely macarons with a nice range of flavours always available, and a mouth-watering range of crepes, pastries and cakes. I love the clean white decor, but only wish it was a bit bigger so it would be easier to get a seat - it can be quite crowded around lunchtime! Perfect spot to wander over from UWA for an afternoon treat (and I have spotted at least two UWA French teachers there - a good sign!)
Consistently delicious cakes and coffee. I LOVE THIS CAFE!! One of the saving graces of broadway/the UWA guild.
The iced coffee here is spectacularly strong and creamy, while the pastries and cakes are mouth watering. My personal faves are the macarons and the beefo bourginon pies - also the fruit tarts are so yummy!
One of my fave spots to go to while I was studying, if you're nearby you may as well give this little cafe a go. Friendly service and quick too!
Tres bien!. Great crepes! Tried the ratatouille with cheese today, and also the apple one. Both were great. Five senses coffee is a bit average, but hey, it's not bad either.
Also took home some almond croissants. Perfection.
Coffee eclair; heavenly. Had an almond croissant and a coffee eclair from here this morning. The croissant was flaky, rich and had the most wonderful flavour. The custard inside was also delicious. Even better than the croissant was the coffee eclair - creamy and a bit chewy, it was everything an eclair should be. I will be back soon!
Super Croquembouche. Got a 40 choux croquembouche for a friend's birthday. It was a fuss free order + pay + pick up. It stood up solid and lovely and after three hours in the car - it still tasted divine!
Even the shortbread which was the base of the Croquembouche was crumbly, flaky and buttery.
Nice one La Galette.
Great Pastry. Good coffee and very good pastry. Handy for UWA if you want somewhere to sit down and have a chat (i.e., not Rocketfuel).
My brilliant morning JOY!. I'm loving the coffee here - the 5 senses blend they use along with the Bannister downs milk makes for the best start to my day.
Crepes rock and the ham n cheese croissant is simply delicious, macaroons rock too (lime and something are the best ever)

Great coffee and almond croissants but I didn't think the crepes were that good.
French Fancy. TimTam had a nice light lunch here at the weekend. She reports good things from this little gem. Friendly helpful staff guided here through the menu. TimTam order the quiche which was on the small side but so was the price so maybe a selection of savouries might be on the cards next time. Good selection of sweets too. Tres Bien.
I liked it, not blown away by any means, bottled average OJ for example and everything under-seasoned but a nice little cafe I'd be happy to come back to.
Crepes?! Thumbs Up!!. We will certainly be back time and time again to sample all the goodness on the menu board. Savory crepes that we had were great and we also had to share a sweet one - just to top things off. The building and location certainly lend charm to the place. They are a busy bunch over lunch hours... which leads to the only neg thing that I have to say = I wish they'll smile over service a bit more. It's all thumbs up otherwise!
Just adding to the positive >80% vote!. When an establishment rates >80% on Urbanspoon with a number of votes, it's usually good. And it is.
La Galette is a little family run gem on Broadway Ave, Nedlands/Crawley. Open early (even on weekends) it's a familiar place to catchup for good coffee or just the paper. The barista uses 5 senses coffee, Banister Downs Milk and is as accomplished at doing a 'good one' as most of the top cafe's in Perth.
Whilst there's debate on what constitutes the best coffee in Nedlands (another establishment in Dalkeith being a favourite), I have yet to be disappointed.
The pasteries are a perennial favourite. Delish melt in your mouth crossaints and other delights.
Crepes can be a bit oily and hit/miss depending on what you order. But don't let that distract from what is otherwise a favourite in Crawley.

Go on the right day.. Their croissants are excellent, that includes the cheese and ham ones, however, you have to make sure you get them when they're fresh. When fresh, they are the right consistency and flake, some of the best I've had and that includes the ones from Paris I've tried. Some days they're a little stale, I think they take delivery every other day starting Mondays so plan on that. Their coffee is a hit and miss. Sometimes is good, however, I'm often ordered and my cappuccino often has too much steamed milk. I definitely recommend their pastries, specially their macaroons and éclairs. Just make sure you let them come to room temperature before consuming them for the best flavour and texture. Crepes are just ok.
Can't wait to come back!. Loved it! Came here for an afternoon coffee and to try out some of their sweets. They have lots of petit fours which is great because you get to try a range of things. It is reasonably priced as well. The coffee was a bit too strong to start with but with a bit of sugar it was fine. Probably perfect for some. Also got a mango macaron and almond croissant to take home with me as I couldn't get enough. Will definitely be coming back here again.
*Edit: Came back here again for some takeaway lunch. Got a lamb curry pie which was delicious :)
Almond croissants to start the day. The bf and i decided to grab some sweet and savoury goods for sunday morning snacking. His salmon crepe was mighty tasty but im a sucker for almond croissants. so light and flakey the way they should be. great coffee and chai.

Macarons rival Choux Cafe. I have been an avid devotee of Choux Cafe for years, however La Galette De France is beginning to rival it for my affection. The macarons here are wonderful and reasonably well priced by Perth standards. The almond croissant is delectably buttery and rich, and I'm told that their coffee isn't bad either. This is a great spot for breakfast on the weekend (if you can get a table).
Best pasties. Amazing pastries here, and when you get lucky and score one straight out of the oven its absolutely amazing. Kept me alive during university with a quick delicious escargot. Coffee can be a bit hit and miss at times
Yumm, very good.. Had a coffee and some pastries there this morning - after Choux was sold out.
I was too late for the Brioche, but the lovely flakey buttery chocolate croissant and apricot danish made up for it.
The Five Senses coffee (when it finally arrived a long time after ordering ) was lovely and smooth and flavorsome.
I used to buy Basque tarts here, and it seems it's even better now than a few years ago.

Ahhhh..... Hmmm….what can I say? Eric absolutely makes the best almond croissants in Perth! I love it best when I'm there in the mornings, when trays of these sinfully delicious pastries are pulled from the oven, with the scent of freshly baked croissants seducing me till I'm dizzy with pleasure. I wait in eager anticipation as icing sugar is dusted with flourish while the croissants are cooling. I buy one and with it hot in my little hands, I start the day. Amazing.

Espresso @ La Galette. I disagree that the coffee is lacking. We are all in search of the perfect latte. Its important to get to know your Barista. Its also important to educate yourself on the basics. Not all Baristi have the passion that Jedd has at La Galette de France. Its worth the visit also for the Ham and Cheese croissants.

Excellent cafe. Love the crepes, especially the "complet". Nice outdoor area, great for cyclists after a ride. Only weakness is the coffee (even though they use "five senses" beans)

Coffee and cake at La Galette was the perfect start to the day at 12 midday on Saturday. La Galette has a variety of patisseries, breads and savory foods to choose from, it is possible to have lunch as well. Oh and they also serve crepes – savory and sweet. Seating outside under the umbrella’s to enjoy the sun and the events happening on Broadway (not much really, just relaxing).
It was delicious and I could definitely taste the mango. They had quite a variety of flavours: guava, lavender, cherry, amongst others.

Sunday morning Hot Chocolate here was 5 star! It was actually Hot and chocolatey and not too milky. For people who love hot choc you'll know how hard it is to find a decent one but they nailed it. YAY, finally.
Went there on Sunday for the first time. Seriously good coffee and croissants were light & flaky (as they should be!). Found a new weekend regular!
