Review Montmartre French Patisserie - Nerang

Graeme Handley
Tucked away in industrial area of Nerang & bit hard to find at first .But the locals know this is one of the best authentic french patisseries in the country . We originally discovered them at the local Saturday morning market at Currumbin/Palm Beach where the french owner sells a selection of her products . Her patisserie at Nerang has a far bigger range including hot pies which we could see were very popular with the tradies coming in and out . Coffee can be also ordered to be enjoyed at table & chairs inside. Our must have is the Almond Custard Croissant. You will not be disappointed.Every bit as good as the almond croissants we enjoyed in Paris recently. Sorry to say , owner has decided to quit Palm Beach Farmers market in 2019 🤣

The exquisite selection of cakes, slices, pastries & pies all have the "wow" factor. You can only buy delicious food made from pure ingredients from this shop. Customer service can be hit & miss.

The cabinet itself looks very appetizing. But the Opera cake was unfortunately dry and covered with too much chocolate ganache. Didn't taste much. And the eclair had too much filling, no taste of pastry. Might give it another go at some point.

I love the croissants and the éclairs. Good coffee. Amazing pastry.

There is no other croissant on the coast to match the original quality of this establishment. We are all going to miss you but a BIG Thank You!! for the years of dedication. Am stocking up the freezer to enjoy for a little longer your croissants. 🇨🇵🇦🇺😋👏👋

Living interstate & unable to visit in person, we were wanting to send Mum something nice and a little different for her birthday. Christine from Montmartre was so lovely & suggested some petit fours. We decided to send a selection of a dozen and Mum was so thrilled when she received them. They looked beautiful (Mum sent us a photo!) and she also said that the young man who delivered them was very nice also. Thank you to all at Montmartre - for providing wonderful customer service and by all accounts, delicious pastries. We highly recommend this business.

Lovely little French Patisserie, very tasty food and polite, friendly and attentive service. Hidden amongst industrial warehouses and showrooms but if you happen to come across it as we did you will be pleasantly surprised and tastily satisfied. It is my pleasure to recommend this little local gem :)
