Lovely team, and amazing quality food, great prices and OMG - their cakes!!!!!!!! I just ordered a Victorian Sponge for my birthday and all my friends that aren’t coeliac ate and loved it too!! Someone needs to invest and set up a chain!!! A must visit - my favourite meal atm is the chicken schnitzel burger! Their chicken is to die for!!!

If you’ve got gluten free dietary requirements it simply like including this in your diet, the. This is the cafe for you. This local, family friendly and dog friendly cafe caters for all kinds of lifestyles and dietary requirements. The menu is designed for people with coeliac disease, gluten and lactose intolerance but even if you don’t have any intolerances there will still be something for you to enjoy. You can trust that everything made in house is gluten free and most items also being lactose free. Wheat based flour does not exist on site, to reduce the risk of cross contamination. On our visit we enjoyed the sweet potato & spinach patties, muesli with yoghurt & the sesame ginger noodle salad. Their fresh juices are topped with protein balls to give you that extra boost. Occasionally, they do gluten free yum cha. Check their Instagram and Facebook for details. Their menu also contains an all day “Little Meals” for kids or ‘big kids’ who are after something little. We didn’t get to try their famous gluten-free doughnuts due to the inability to fit more food in but will need to try this next time. They are said to actually tastes like a real doughnut. Pop in soon for that nutritious breakfast or brunch guilt free. They also do catering band custom cakes.

Good coffee, toast was average - I didn’t have gluten free, just regular sourdough and it was unfortunately a bit cold and hard and over toasted. I visited on a weekday morning so it was quite quiet. But love the concept of gluten free cafe. I’ll return for another try.

Amazing food and lovely service. The gluten free and lactose free options were extensive, and the blueberry waffles I tried were so light, fluffy and delicious (even the non-coeliac person I was with though they tasted delicious). Would happily recommended it to anyone.

If you are looking for healthy and tasty things that you cannot find everywhere, this is the right place. Staff is also very welcoming and experienced. Sweets are so nice looking and delicious. Milkshakes are very tasty and prices are good. Many healthy and vegetarian options. I wouldnt mind to see more eggs-based breakfast.

BLOWN AWAY! Highly recommend! I haven't had waffles in so long and they were so delicious! The food was so good, wouldn't have know it was GF at all. I will definitely be returning. Also atmosphere was lovely and everything was very reasonably priced. Thank you! :)

Cold and disgusting unfortunately a waste of money. I only ate the dry, cold meatballs because I was starving. It’s so frustrating when money is wasted on overpriced low quality food. Nothing authentic or even remotely tasty about this order. The chips weren’t good either. Felt microwaved. Even the coffee was super bitter and a disappointment.

Wonderful on all counts! A friend and I did the GF yum cha on Saturday 28/08/2020. I haven’t had a spring roll spring roll since I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease. They tasted just the same! I almost cried. My friend ate them so quickly she burnt her mouth. They were that good! The service was really quick too. We had to tell them to wait before giving us desert. I hope there will be custard tarts next time as I don’t like mangos. All in all a wonderful and yummy experience!!!

Being a Coeliac I am very hesitant to try new cafes/restaurants, cafe free is the only place that I am completely comfortable eating anything on the menu without the worry of traces of gluten or cross contamination- plus the bonus of awesome food!!

We drove from Canberra to have a belated birthday brunch, God I was not disappointed! The food, the flavours, the great variety of drinks and produces sourced locally are of very high quality. The owner and staff are committed to serve the best there is and to make the impossible possible meaning, bringing us food that would be normally forbidden for most of us! I cannot rave enough about this place and how at peace I was to know that it was safe for me to order whatever I felt like without the fear of contamination! Cafe free is a slice of heaven in Sydney! Thank you!!

Ordered a choc-honeycomb cake for my family Christmas dinner and it was incredible! Everyone loved it, especially the coeliac in the family. Tasted amazing and looked delicious. I always highly recommend the food and the cakes from Cafe Free

Being lactose intolerant means I have to always choose soy or not eat certain foods when I go out. This place is amazing in how I could choose anything and still get the amazing taste that everyone else would! Definitely a place I will be visiting again! Thank you for having such a great place for us intolerant people to go!!!
Fawn MacCormick
Best coffee!!! Very friendly staff. The bacon is ridiculously good and smokey! The gluten free bread doesn't even taste like gf bread! Highly recommend cafe free!
Elouise Monck
This cafe has a delicious range of gluten free dishes for breakfast and lunch. The coconut milk coffee is yummy. Very friendly service. It's lovely to sit in the sun on the outside stools.

Probably the best all round cafe I've been too, and I have worked in cafes/ restaurants/ hotels for 15 years! amazing menu, quick and super friendly staff, down to earth, nothing was too much trouble, and the prices were shockingly low for this quality! I will definitely be returning with friends and family!

Wonderful gluten free food suitable for adults and kids! Will be coming back again, especially to try the doughnut waffles!!

I love this place! When you have food intolerances I t's incredible to be able to walk into a cafe and pretty much be able to order anything on the menu!

it's raining outside but u made me sunshine :) glad to find out a local cafe so free from gluten, lactose, caged animals, exported produce, conventional bbq source/bread/cakes and fake chai! Glad to see biscuits for our fur babies and the clean living resources provided in your cafe. I now know to pay Coeliac NSW an online visit!

We went here for lunch on a weekday, it was completely empty and it still took around 30mins for our dishes to arrive. The food was quite bland and overpriced for what it is. We were overall pretty disappointed considering the high quality of cafes around Neutral Bay.

A haven for people like me, Café Free offers a whole menu catered to those with dietary requirements. For what it was, I was surprised how tasty the food here was. I would’ve liked more sauce on the lamb salad and a bit more moisture in the Portuguese chicken sliders as I found these a little dry. Overall though, super impressed with this venue!

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

My thanks to Café Free and CPM Online Marketing Agency for the invite.

Great place for anyone needing coeliac or lactose friendly cafes! I thoroughly enjoyed the savoury dishes the most. If you have dietary restrictions and craving a waffle this will definitely satisfy that craving! It’s not as sweet as a regular waffle but it has a great texture and excellent toppings so you’ll still get that fix.
Overall thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cafe Free and recommending to many of my Gluten free and lactose free friends
Instafoodmonsta
Really friendly staff and appetising food. We tried their mini beef burgers as well as their red velvet waffle and really loved both the dishes
Saxon Dunworth
Remarkable! So much variety for any dietary requirements.
The way they make food that usually contains gluten in it and making it taste just as good is awesome.
Easy to get too and friendly staff service

A bit underwhelming. New to the area and keen to try local spots.

The cafe was not over run at the weekend, plenty of staff, yet they expect you to fetch you own menu and order at counter. A smile wouldn’t go wrong with any of the three staff that were around.

The food was somewhat bland, but maybe we both chose poorly. We’ll keep trying local cafes, probably wouldn’t go here again.

A nice little local cafe for locals.
We enjoyed a nice family lunch here which suited the celiac in our family perfectly.
There was a nice range of options however unfortunately for me almost all options were bread based and I don’t eat bread. So I was very limited by choice as bread was the main component of most meals.
The meals were fresh and tasty but tiny, so we were disappointed by that. I left really hungry and had to go and eat something elsewhere!
We were confused as we ordered a kids milkshake and an adult one (adult one being $7) and they both came out in the same glass and same size, and again it was tiny (adult size) for the price.
The waffles are amazing and the staff were wonderful. There was colouring in for the kids which always makes a huge difference in our ability to dine out as a family!
I wouldn’t rush across town to go here but given that we live locally it’s a good option for us.
Over the weekend I finally made my way back to Sydney. While there I took the opportunity to stuff as many reviews in as possible. Our first stop was for breakfast and it just had to be at Café Free in Neutral Bay. Located at 1/48 Yeo Street, Cafe Free boasts being a gluten and lactose-free dining specialist. That coupled with heaps of recommendations for me to visit them sealed the deal. So we headed down for an 8.30 booking Sunday morning.

Horrible customer service, especially by the owner - does not keep promises, is unreliable, and just flat out rude, and food was not to standard. When we were given a voucher as an apology - the voucher was expired. So on top of all this, also unethical.

This cake is the most magnificent tasting thing ever! I requested it for my birthday and, as always, Zoe delivered.

Zoe and all the trained staff at Cafe Free do this because they want to, not because they have to. They truly want people that have allergies to enjoy food, too.

My family and I will continue to order our cakes from there. My family and I will continue to eat here for breakfast on Saturday mornings. And we look forward to their evening ticketed feasts. We most recently went to the Italian one and it was amazing!

Cafe Free is a successful business that is clearly interested in their customers and their community. We are all so lucky! I highly recommend!

After being a loyal customer of the cafe I will never eat or order from here agin after the way we were spoken to and treated! Disgusting behaviour and no way to treat loyal customers who spent a lot of money with your business.

I ordered a cake, and not only did she overcharge me but the cake was the completely different to what i ordered!!!!! I gave her 6 days notice for a tiny 6 person 6 inch cake (when the website only says two days), and she called me 2 days before and said she just opened my email and needed more time. She finally decided to do the cake when i agreed to get my own cake topper and decorations.

When I got home and saw the cake and called the owner to discuss how different it was and how this happened and she was abusive and rude and offered nothing!!! I had no option but to take a sloppy discoloured (Green instead of blue) cake to a baby shower which was so embarrassing.

Great to see a restaurant in Mosman that is focusing on being gluten and lactose free. With so many dietary restrictions these days it is fantastic to see Cafe Free is filling this void. Coffee is good, as are the daily juices. Lunch is served from 11am - 3pm and there is a "Little Meal" menu for the kids to enjoy. Their blueberry waffles w blueberry compote and maple cream cheese is worth getting out of bed for! Look forward to trying a freak shake on my next visit!
Amy Ferris
LOVED everything we ordered, such beautiful and friendly staff. The waffles were amazing and they were gluten free! Couldn't even tell! I loved that we could have freak-shakes, even though we have dietary restrictions.

Another cafe has popped up in Mosman but this time its gluten and lactose free and I’m pretty excited. At Cafe Free you can indulge with an American diner style serving of gluten free waffles or enjoy a bacon and egg gluten free roll to feed your hangover. I’m proud to say I wasn’t hungover when I visited Cafe free so I chose the waffle route – its not everyday you see waffles listed as gluten free on a menu. Ordering gluten free pancakes or waffles is usually disappointing as eateries struggle to create the fluffiness of normal pancakes. I am often faced with a small serving that is sparingly decorated whilst everyone else is enjoying a stack of buttermilk pancakes with banana, ice cream and maple syrup. Not fair.

Amazing fresh food! We have one celiac in the house and I always try her dish too and have never been disappointed with anything yet. Bacon egg rolls are my fav, and hers is the GF quesadilla. Small menu but they change it frequently. A regular stop for us in Mosman.

Great cafe, especially if you are gluten free. This is a great find, tucked round the corner of Mandolong Road, good menu, reasonable prices and especially good if you neer a gluten or lactose free diet.
