Review 8@8 Cafe - Neutral Bay

Great location and I like the deco. Had a brunch here last Sat, very quiet moment but food was served slow, quality ok ! flat white just ok! not top notch (no latte art). The chef came out to send 2 drinks that's not from our order! it seems not running by an experienced owner.

Cosy local cafe. friendly staff with delicious food. Their flat white is one of the best I've tried. We ordered Smashed Avocado, really nice one. Reasonable price. We walked out happy and well fed. Highly recommend.

Great brunch spot. Our usual big breakfast (called the Neutral Bay breakfast here), Eggs Benedict, flat white and fresh orange juice order came to just under $50. Everything tasted great (coffee too) but it was noted that the Eggs Benedict tasted a little"funny". I didn't notice, so this is really almost a *****. (I just realised that looked like an expletive -- it means a five-star rating.)

Brought a Groupon brunch deal for two. I didn't book (my mistake, Groupon does say you must book in advance), and the chef in store can't cook the lunch menu, so we can only order from the remaining items. The food was delicious, the sweet chill sauce is French style, it's not spicy at all, but quite unique. Definitely recommended, especially if you can buy the Groupon voucher ($11 per person)

Newcomers to the place but definitely my fav cafe in NB now. Amazing energy and attitude from all of the staff, and they look after you so well. Great ambiance and place is spread out well for seating. Very passionate about their coffee and food. Love every visit.

Great coffee. The food was pretty average - smashed avocado was super oily (olive oil mixed through it not sure why), the toast was actually warm bread with butter on it, my partner's bacon was under cooked. The eggs are free range which is great. The staff seemed disorganised - very hard to get attention. The chef came out and took our feedback very graciously.

Staff was friendly.
Food was amazing, I especially enjoyed the zucchini fritter burger, a lot of (V) option for vegan and vegetarian foodies. Your standard brekky/brunch chill cafe.

A bit hard to find - as there is 2x Woolworth across the main road. 8@8 cafe is located across the road from the old Woolworth.
We were lucky enough to try quite a few dishes at this place with a group of other foodies.
8at8 haven't been open for a long time but boy do they have a strong food game!
Their dishes are absolutely mouthwatering to look at and the taste to match which can be quite rare these days.
Every dish was plated beautifully and the coffee was definitely on point.
The service was really good and the barista, Kev makes a mean coffee.
It's definitely one to visit and would highly recommend this place to family and friends.
