Very mixed feelings about Against the Grind. Pros: great quality food, great selection of sweets, Campos coffee roasted and done right. The inside sitting area is cozy and spacious, and plenty of external sitting area on a quiet street. Also love the deli where you can buy freshly cut cold meets,
One of the busiest little places in Neutral Bay. Highly recommend the chicken sausage and egg roll. Tried the Magic Coffee. Brilliant feed while killing time and doing some work.
Lovely spot for cafe food! The coffees were amazing and I loved the produce they sold here too. Didn’t leave empty handed.
The brekkie fried rice was horrible. The rice was literally steamed not fried. There were literally three small slices of Chinese sausage. Highly disappointed I had to get a second meal elsewhere because I was starving at the end of it. I would give this dish zero stars if I could.
We had a light lunch here comprised of a tuna poke bowl and prosciutto cotta panini. Both were nice, with very clean flavours.
Unfortunately many of the reviews here seem to be on point. Being new to the neighbourhood was keen on finding a regular breakfast spot. The customer service staff left much to be desired - our staff was downright rude. We were hoping the food would provide some redemption: however the food managed
Had a real quick coffee and sweet in the morning before heading to Work. Best coffee and lots of pastries options cant wait to try them all. Menu looks good. Definitely will come back. It was busy but worth to wait.
We have been here for breakfast and it was pretty solid so we decided to give dinner a go.
