Shared a nice meal with my family in the bistro. Prices were ok to.

Always friendly service. They prices seem to be okay. Parking out front.

Delicious meals and very friendly staff.

Above average pub food, with generous portions and friendly staff. We didn’t have them but there were some tasty looking vegetarian pasta options on the regular (not specials) menu. Good value

Welcoming country pub. Huge menu, the food was fresh, perfectly cooked and the kids menu was perfect. Can recommend the tempura mushrooms and the kids bolognaise was flavoursome. Great for a casual meal as a couple, family or group. Will come again!

Exceptional establishment. They went above and beyond for my dads funeral after service drink, and I will forever remember that kindness... Not only did they offer free nibbles...... but we also had ppl telling us that they got free drinks after.... Star and Garter? you are a pub with a heart. you have always been an exquisite establishment, but now we know you are one of a kind. Thank you. THANK YOU a thousand times over.... for all you have done for us.

We went for lunch on Saturday, I had steak and mushroom pie which was cold and the pastry was totally uncooked. My wife ordered chicken kiev as did my brother in law, however both were almost raw in the centre. Will not return and cannot recommend .

Waited over an hour for our meals, and there were only 3 tables of patrons at this time. Our 3 meals were brought out 10mins apart, so no chance of being able to dine together. Bar wasn't manned either and we had to wait for someone to bring a meal out from the kitchen in order to ask for a drink. Quality of food was relatively good.

Had a beautiful meal tonight at the Star , the seafood platter was soooo yummy ... Highly recommend it and the staff were great as well

We went for dinner on Valentine's Day � Seafood Platter for two.... WOW.... Absolutely delish.... Great assortment of hot an cold seafood with a yummy salad and big chunky chips.... Could not fault it and presentation was on point... Lovely staff and a great lil' Dinning room..... We'll be back

We had a beautiful meal tonight, staff and atmosphere were great, steak cooked perfect and the seafood platter was enormous. Great job.

Been in Tassie a week and best meal so far. Great steak and garlic prawns were a treat also

Had a few dinners lately here and love the fact that the specials board actually changes regularly, porterhouse steak i had the other night was the best cooked i have ever had in New Norfolk

It was without a doubt the most tastless boring takeaway meal I have ever had the misfortune of paying for, I had tasmanian scallops and chips as a main meal I presumed it would come with a salad (silly me) the chips were over cooked and the scallops were little dark brown balls of tasteless nothingness
