Review East End Hub - Newcastle

Scrumptious breakkie and great coffee! We ordered Vege Hub Breakfast and Hub Benedict. It's delicious! Highly recommend.

We found this place a shelter from the rain and cold surf wind. We only ordered coffee and cake but it was very nice compared to what it was like outside. The staff were helpful and our order was promptly delivered to our table. The menu was not large but all the meals coming out of the kitchen looked very inviting. We will return.

Visited East end hub this morning with my wife. I'll preface this by saying the reason we came here was to re-test the bacon and egg roll I had roughly 12 months ago. I came in January 2021 and decided it was the best bacon and egg roll. Since then, I've had my fair share of other bacon and egg rolls, so testing out the number 1 spot was important. We arrived, it was around 8am and fairly quiet. Service was great, ordered coffees straight away and they arrived shortly after. I ordered a bacon and egg roll and my wife had the banana ricotta hotcakes. The roll was great. Was it as good as I remember? Kind of. I'd go as far as saying it's definitely one of the best rolls in newy. Really enjoyed. My wife's hotcakes were also excellent, she was very happy with them and they looked great! Will definitely be back, but first I need to see if there are any rival bacon and egg rolls elsewhere...

One of my favourite places for breakfast or lunch! Great outdoor seating with views of the beach or cosy indoor seating. Staff are excellent and the food is superb. Lovely menu and I've never had anything on it that wasn't completely satisfying. Good ingredients and interesting food. It would be very difficult to choose a favourite but the smoked trout is really outstanding.

All the meals tasted great in their own way. The duck with gnocchi was cooked perfectly and well balanced flavours. The only disappointing part was the coffee, not sure if the milk was burnt but mine tasted strange but my friends was fine

When you get delicious food after long drive with tired body what else you need. One of the best breakfast I ever had. Nice and friendly staffs. Travelled to new castle from sydney without any planning and ended up just having breakfast at this place. Made my travel worth it with the delicious food and friendly staffs. Will visit again.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. The portion was quite big.

This is one of my favourite cafes. It's a very short stroll to Newcastle beach and offers indoor and outdoor dining. The food is fresh, delicious and the menu has a good variety of options. The wine and beverage options are good so is the coffee.

We dined here for breakfast daily during our 3 night stay at Novotel Newcastle beach, right next door. Loved all the food we had & the service was very friendly all 3 days also. Breakfast 1 was fruit loaf with chai, breakfast 2 was scrambled eggs on turkish with Ant's chilli jam & fresh apple/ginger juice & breakfast 3 was ham & cheese toastie with fresh OJ. I loved Ant's chilli jam so much I bought a jar to take home & enjoy. This is a great cafe with something for everyone & highly recommend.

East End Hub is a great little spot adjacent to Newcastle beach, and perfect if staying at the Novotel and wanting something far better than hotel breakfast. There's a great mix of indoor and outdoor bar and table seating, and spots for your beloved pooch outside. <br/><br/>Service is swiftly and coffee strong and delicious. The vegetarian breakfast is so striking in colour and generous in portion. The corn fritter is much more than just flour, with plenty of corn. It holds it shape but isnt over-bound. Mushrooms were delicious and without all the oil/butter. Great little vegetarian plate and comfy, cosy vibe. Lots of warmth from the staff (aside from what was heard from the open kitchen).

The outstanding thing about this place was the service. I was super impressed by how simple everything was for them, even the hyper complicated orders due to multiple different dietary requirements in our group.<br/><br/>The menu was generic but they did everything very well. The ricotta pancakes were amazing. Their mushrooms were beautifully cooked. The speck was flavorful. The chorizo was soft. Should I go on? Completely forgot to take photos because it was so amazing. Only downside was they forgot the kid's ricotta pancakes so he ate all our food by the time they came out, so that's the only reason for losing half a point. Overall, super experience and will come back next time I visit Newcastle!

One of the better spots in Newcastle. Always busy but the staff are always attentive and the coffee is good and comes out with quickly. <br/><br/>It would be awesome if they maybe added some lighter options to their breakfast menu like a smoothie bowl, acai bowl, sago with fruit or something like that as nearly all the breakfast options are pretty big and heavy.

If I can sum up my experience with East End Hub using less than 10 words, it would these: slick hub, good coffee and nice service. <br/><br/>The Hub has plenty of space both inside and outside. Pleasantly surprised how the wait staff actually knows the background of the paintings hanging on their wall! <br/><br/>The coffee was good. The big breakfast was huge! The mushrooms were not just plate fillers. They were actually really juicy and tasty. The bacon and egg roll needs some lovin' though. A bit dry and bland.

We went looking for the east end hub as the husband had eaten here before but could not remember the name ... And were we glad to have found it.<br/>It was the perfect weekend breakfast... Another thing that we were so full the next meal was dinner. The service is ever smiling and the food mind blowing. Their coffee is also amazing. Def a place to go when in Newcastle .. We ll be going back surely .. Just need to go for a run beforehand

Impressive!. I've been lucky enough to visit East End Hub several times, and have been seriously impressed every time. The food is to-die-for; every dish has that special something. I particularly loved a special breakfast dish of French toast with figs, pistachios and passion fruit marscapone - just divine! Another favourite is the Cambodian beef salad with puffed rice. You won't be disappointed!

Sensational Fresh Meal. Had a sensational lunch with 5 other guests. Everyone loved their meals. Fresh produce, hot coffee, quick service and very reasonable pricing. Looking forward to breakfast this weekend at East End Hub!
