High tea was a fabulous experience at The Tea Collective. The food was delicious, and especially those scones! Delicious juice to start with, Ordered champagne, and so hard to choose which teas to have! Pretty china added to the experience. Well worth visiting.

Vegan options ✅ Love the fresh dumplings here - small portions but good to accompany your tea! Highly recommend the lychee and lavender iced teas - so fun! Pretty space but small so book if you know in advance! The location is easy to find (parking is limited). There’s also a tea room with lots of blends for sale including blacks, greens and matcha. Gift boxes available.

This little gem is found ABOVE The Autumn Rooms cafe, head upstairs INSIDE the cafe. The extensive knowledge from woman behind the tea counter was quite impressive. I’ve been around the world to try alternate teas ☕️ and found this business to have some decent & organic flavoured teas with a great depth of selections for all customers visiting. The two tea rooms + balcony were little though enough to sit down and have a high tea ☕️ 🍰 with a friend.

This place is a delightful tea mecca. The ambience is warm and welcoming, staff are knowledgeable and attentive, but the tea and treats are the standouts! There's an impressive range of quality leaf tea, all served in tea pots. We had dumplings and scones and were happy with both.

I went in yesterday at the spur of the moment & bought 4 teas. The young lady there was very helpful in selling me some lovely teas for Christmas. Her male colleague was busy getting the online orders out. Friendly team. thank you!

Still my favourite place in Newcastle, especially with the new location. Simply the best tea from a master craftswoman who is passionate about the art of tea. Delightful service, atmosphere and food. Perfect for special and everyday occasions.

Stunning High Tea! I have been to a lot of high teas around the world and this is the experience I have been after. Cute, intimate, elegant and so much homemade food. We couldn’t finish it at all. The teas were all amazing. We weren’t expecting to have so many choices! Some we preferred more than others but that was the beauty of a tea-gustation. The venue itself was so simple, beautiful and elegant. The service was unobtrusive and very warm. The music soft. House made scones with rose jam! Heaven. I really can’t rave about it enough. We did have to pass through a cafe called Autumn Rooms that looked really busy and the food that was coming out smelled and looked fabulous. Not sure if it is the same owners but it all looked quite similar. Hip and happening downstairs and relaxing and classy upstairs? We have planned to come straight back to try it next time we’re in Newcastle for breakfast. 11/10.

What an absolute delight! These types of tea rooms are as rare as hens teeth. The simple and delicious menu is perfectly paired with their extensive and AMAZING tea menu. The freshest, most creative blends that are served perfectly in bone China. The high tea was exceptional. The beautiful fresh flowers are a treat. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

I've been here a few times for both casual visits and a high tea. The tea variety is huge with both traditional and unique teas, and the staff know how each one needs to be brewed perfectly. With extensive knowledge and passion for the tea's they are more than happy to answer questions and help you find something you will like. The service is exceptional with professional but fun staff, the food is delicious (dumplings, cakes, scones, sandwiches), the shop itself is quite small but very relaxing. A great place to take some friends or solo it with a book. The high tea is certainly worth the price. It was such a pleasant afternoon. Wether a casual tea drinker or a tea obsession, this is certainly a place to visit. I literally cannot fault it any way.

I took my bestie for high tea at the The Tea Project for her birthday. We had a fabulous time and were treated to a delicious array of treats (definitely recommend skipping breakfast.... It would be wrong to leave anything on the plate, it was all incredible!). We attempted to pick our favourite cakes but determined it would be the equivalent of picking a favourite child. The accompanying tea was perfect. There is something super special about the beautiful tea blends which are no doubt a result of the knowledge, respect and love that goes into them. I stocked up on some tea to bring back to Wagga Wagga with me.... Absolutely worth the trip! Thankful for the online shop to keep me stocked between trips north. Thank you ladies for a fabulous morning! :)

Instantly fell in love with this place. Becci is so passionate about her tea and always creates the most peaceful and friendly atmosphere which makes every visit a delight. Only the highest quality products and service are delivered and I recommend visiting The Tea Project to all my friends. 10/10 love this place.

Love this tea place. The vegan lemon tart with Roiboss based Caramel Fig tea is amazing. I only drink non cafeinated teas and i like the great mix of options this place offers. The ambiance is pleasant and service is usually great.

Whenever I have needed a calm and friendly place to relax, somewhere to empty my head of work and stress; I find myself here. The dumplings and scones are beautiful and fresh, and the tea really speaks for itself. I'd recommend the Irish rum and cream for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Wow! My new favourite place. It's so peaceful and relaxing. The staff are lovely and very welcoming and it truly is a beautiful experience going to this tea house- from the tea to the rose jam and the essential oil spray. Loved it. Thank you.

Visited this beautiful shop for a friend's high tea. Great food, great staff and most importantly great TEA!!! Left the place with a bag of tea and a huge smile on my face. Will definitely be coming back.

My friend Michele took me out for High Tea today at The Tea Project. I must say that each morsel of food whether sweet or savoury was a taste sensation. The teas served were devine starting with a cold white lychee tea which will be perfect for Christmas along with a quite a few others. Each tea was unique & served at the perfect temperature. The staff are passionate about their teas & high tea menu. It was a lovely experience !

Had High Tea for 2 on Sunday. We turned up early...no problem! Looked after the moment we walked in. The tea is divine and the food is fresh and delicious (the pastry...wow!). We also enjoyed the background music and overall vibe. Beckie and Amie were fantastic hosts. Highly recommend - we do a lot of High Teas and this one is right up there.

Love this place. Respite from busy Darby Street. An extensive tea list and wonderful nibblies on offer. High Tea or just a nice cuppa in the afternoon sun. Beautiful.

Thank you so much to the lovely staff at The Tea Project today for the best high tea I have ever had! I took my mum for a high tea for her birthday and we experienced exceptional service right from the start. The food and the tea were both delicious and we couldn't fault a thing. All three girls that served us were lovely and made us feel very welcome. My only suggestion would be an outdoor heater for winter afternoons however the blankets we were offered did help. We will definitely be returning and recommending your business to our friends and family.

The ladies are lovely just like the tea is . The scones with the rosemary jam are delicious. The tea house is a lovely place to go with friends for a quite chat over tea . If i don't feel like cooking dinner they have dumplings on the menu and they are tasty .

My first experience of The Tea Project was lovely. It has such a cosy relaxed atmosphere inside. The staff are so friendly and helpful. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, we will surely be back. Highly recommend the Lychee and Lavender iced tea on a hot day it hit the spot!

Phenomenal is a huge understatement describing the tea, food and service we received yesterday. The staff were professional and friendly, making our High Tea experience seem like we were just part of the family. The stories behind each individually crafted tea make it even more enjoyable, as you listen and drink. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon, we will certainly be back again.

Spent a cool Saturday morning with my best friend enjoying a very cosy high tea at this locally owned and operated Tea Room. Table set for an intimate experience, amazing iced tea served upon arrival and it just kept getting better from there. The teas are served in a specific order to ensure you get the most out of all the flavours (like wine tasting!) and they were served at the perfect temperatures. Both the savoury and sweet food towers were divine - there was nothing we did not like! Finally and most importantly, the service....faultless! We were educated on the different teas and the ladies strike the perfect balance between leaving you to enjoy your high tea and not feeling interrupted all the time. Highly recommend for any occasion!

Went to tea project with girl friends. Lovely staff and great food. My only negatives were for the price I thought there would be dumplings included on the menu and we had booked and paid in advance and were seated out in the courtyard while walk-ins were seated in the warm shop. It was cold and even though we were given blankets it was uncomfortable in winter

We had a beautiful high tea last weekend at The Tea Project with my mum, sister and sister in law & baby Alfie. We all loved the variety of teas we got to try throughout the afternoon. The first lychee ice tea was delicious and would be perfect for a hot summers day! Our other favourites were the toasted coconut and peppermint. The homemade savoury & sweet treats were amazing & did not leave feeling hungry at all! Was the perfect amount! The service was amazing! The girls were so lovely and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We can't wait to come back even just for a cuppa and cake! We all bought some amazing teas and can't wait to come back and try more! Would highly recommend this high tea to anyone! ���☕️�

I have had a terrible cold for the last few weeks, Becci at the tea collective fixed me up with their ‘cold and flu’ tea.. safe to say I’m feeling better already! The tea warmed my tummy and made me feel better in minutes. �

Dropped in quite late in the afternoon to be greeted by the owner who was fantastic at explaining all the teas, telling us her story and being generally most informative. Teas were delightful, dumplings divine and scones delicious! If you love tea, you'll love this place. Can't wait to try the High tea sometime.

The staff were ridiculously lovely at high tea for my friends birthday on the weekend! Both the food and tea selection was incredible. Visiting here will definitely become a regular occurance!

My daughter treated to an outing on Saturday and assured me I would love The Tea Project because I love tea and all the formalities that go with it. She was right. The tea menu is extensive. The teas themselves are delicious and we fell in love with the rose water jam! Take time to visit. It's full of charm, service is impeccable and the prices are fair.

Had my sister's bridal shower here last weekend it was awesome! Food is great and teas are so good! Staff are amazing the owner went out of her way to make my sisters afternoon amazing would definitely recommend having high tea at The Tea Project for both small or large groups the courtyard is a lovely setting. Just spend a leisurely afternoon at the Tea Project! Service was second to none, both ladies attentive and informative, nothing was too much trouble. From the essential oil misting to set the tone, to the divine home made procession of savoury and sweet delights....highly recommend for a special treat. Loved the experience !

I had the worst experience here today. I was looking forward to catching up with my cousin at the tea house but the owner made feel quite embarrassed when she came over to my 3 year old and told her to be quite and stop making a noise. Also I was very disappointed with the price I paid for a kids honey sandwich at $6.50.I recommend if you have kids stay away from this place.

We often come to the Tea Project for a little Sunday treat. The service is always amazing and the Tea is fantastic. We love making our way through menu :)
