Review The Maryville Tavern - Newcastle

Great atmosphere and food. We dropped in today for the first time and loved the vibe. Really friendly staff, kid and dog friendly too. With plenty of seating indoors and under cover this place is a hidden gem. The servings are very generous and the menu has lots of variety too.

Excellent food and a beautiful spot. Awesome beers on tap too. Massive salad serving and decent chicken burger.

Beautiful decor inside. Lovely staff. Great selection of beers on tap, also a seltzer on tap which was very refreshing 😁 Hubby had a steak with veggies for lunch and he loved it! and we got a share salt & pepper which was huge! Highly recommend ✌🏼

Tried this place for dinner last night as we had heard the food was good. The food was good, unfortunately the bar staff let the place down. They were rude when being served and served us a schooner that wasn’t full because the keg ran out apparently. Didn’t offer to change the keg or give a discount. We refused to buy any more drinks due to the way we were treated and will not be going back.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou! After last night's Thursday night date night disaster at The Burwood you have restored our faith in good pub grub cooked with love. The swordfish was to die for and the pork belly salad was cooked by someone who understands balance of flavours. Super helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of beers and wine. Beautiful interior and comfortable dining area. Genuine local pub. Wish it was our local.

6pm, busy night single diner, 3 Crumbed lamb cutlets with veg ( no carbs)..48 min later, with well cooked green beans and 3 small sprigs of broccoli, 3 medium small cutlets, lucky to be 200g crumbed..nice, but for 32 dollars? even at higher lamb prices..ambience 5 out of 10., staff quite preoccupied and disengaged..try elsewhere for value

Great meals at reasonable prices. Rocomwnd the lamb cutlets for those who like them. Perfectly cooked with greens and mash. Yummo🙂🙂🙂

Nice pub, good food options. Spacious seating in and out in the beer garden. We went here today for a special lunch of lamb cutlets for a memorial meal. The staff were very kind, the food was nice and we even had a appetizer board of squid and octopus.
