Enjoyed dinner here last night. We were running late and they were only too happy to accommodate us being half hour late. The restaurant itself is small and very intimate making it a great place to go for a romantic date. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. I highly recommend grilled gyoza.

Absolutely loved it. Has a real 1920's New York Japanese bar type feel to it that's really comforting and makes for a really worthwhile experience. Great place to go on a date. The food is a bit expensive but you can taste the quality. Not an everyday sort of place but more of a quiet night out or special occasion with some close people type place. The staff were all really friendly that we met. The bartender was very nice and gave us some excellent recommendations as well as some excellently done drinks. Would hands down recommend to anyone.

Can't explain how much of an interesting space this is. So many interesting nooks with old world quirky charm. The place in itself is an experience. Great food quality and drink choices. Will definitely be back for the sake taster menu.

I've been here a bunch of times, and every single visit has been amazing. Their main dishes (agedashi tofu of special note) are superb, their drinks are delicious, and their sushi (particularly the grilled salmon nigiri) is, in my opinion, some of the best I've had in Australia.
The ambiance and aesthetic is so eclectic it works well, and the service is great; the waitstaff are very knowledgable and lovely.
I cannot recommend Kitami King St. enough, probably the best restaurant in Newcastle and one of the best in the state. (Their grocer in Carrington is also great if you want to try your hand at making your own Japanese food!)

This is my favorite places in Newcastle. I always take my friends here and they love it too. The food is very authentic Japanese, the atmosphere is amazing, then on top you have the bar and great Green Tea Ice cream.

The staff were super ! The food is fairly expensive but it was good. The beer that I had was recommended by the waiter and was incredibly smooth. (Product knowledge right there) Also, when one of our dishes was late they gave us two cocktails on the house for the delay! The setting and atmosphere are a delight, as well! Eager for my next visit! ♥
