Great array of tasty food, very popular meeting spot to sit inside or out and enjoy Coffee cake or tasty meal - fast friendly service. Very popular with locals, especially morning to lunchtime.

I had a good time here drinking Oat piccolo latte and Mocha, it was awesome.

I dropped by in a morning when I was there for a few working days in Newcastle I found this place via Google Maps and happy with the suggestion. Very good taste breakfast with choco chia vs berries and great coffee also The lady at the counter was so friendly while advising me the choices. Highly recommended!

I have specifically requested for a Flatwhite with one extra shot.. but I didn’t get that extra shot. (Kind of sad if your morning coffee goes wrong).. Generally a busy place.. recommend you guys to ask them to repeat your order. Just to confirm they got it right.

Early Friday morning breakfast, after 6am flight from Melbourne. Interesting menu, coffee was okay, fruit bread good, cereal good, avocado on toast was different, lacking presentation, butter was too hard to spread, wouldn't say it was the best avocado & toast we have had.

A confusing start to breakfast with no direction on where to sit/what to order, but after settling in it’s a very cute cafe! We ordered the mushroom tempeh burger and the Turkish breakfast plate. The burger was full of flavour, filling and fabulous. The Turkish plate was a little underwhelming but nice flavours. Unfortunately there is no table service and a wait at the counter so getting anything takes a bit of time eg. some water for the table or previous patrons plates cleared. All in all yummy food, average service.

We stopped in here last night for a wine and share platter - so glad we did! The vibe was really calming and chill. The wine went down a treat and the Vegan Share Platter with the cashew cheese was DELICIOUS! loved the cheese and the crackers were so tasty along with the antipasto. The service was super friendly and intuitive without being in your face at all. I'll be back!

My first Newcastle Cafe. The young gentleman who served me was very friendly. I ordered an espresso, it was great, pulled well worth no over extraction.

Went here for the first time today. Have to say it was the best breakfast I have ever eaten in my whole life! Amazing! I had a breakfast plate with meroccan or indian spiced chickpeas, not sure which lol, avacado, poached egg feta cheese with spinach and olive oil, tomato and sourdough. Incredible. Fresh and delicious. I'll be back!

Consistent. You will on the odd chance get a coffee at random coffee shop you might well score a 100 out of 100 but at Good Brother you will get 95 and 96 all the time. I recommend ordering a Black Schlong. Tell them Aaron sent you.

The best coffee I have had in a very long time. Wonderful!

Just ducked in for a quick cuppa and a bite to eat. Definitely be dropping in next time I'm in Newy.

Great coffee, excellent food delivered quickly, and the chance to do good by buying a suspended drink – what more could you ask for?! Will definitely return next time we find ourselves in Newcastle. Thanks for a wonderful lunch and coffee stop :)

I’ve been to this cafe before. And it’s good... really good. The coffee is superb, and today I had a veggie toastie, which was pumpkin, English spinach etc etc ... yummy!!

Gosh, this is another gem in Newcastle, lucky ppl hahahaha

I had a t/a coffee then I had to go and have breakfast there! Yummmmmmy

Once again this is a must visit! And I don’t say that too often.

Nice food. Stayed at the Novotel and this was 30meters down the road. Coffee is great also. The cafe is busy in the morning with limited seating.

Staff here are friendly and really look after their customers. Strawberry and mint iced tea was really quite refreshing and the avocado on sourdough was super simple but super delicious.
Wish I lived close enough to make this joint my local coffee stop.

Nice little cafe with typical hipster-like furnishing. Plenty of seating in and out for its size. Prices are alright with food menu somewhat limited. Had a vege sandwich that was tasty. Coffee is good and generally what this place is more suited for.

Nice and friendly staff. .... Nice and friendly staff.

Good was very nice, egg and salmon roll...

Coffee went back for seconds...

Ambience was settling, decor, grungy, would return...regularly, if I lived in area.

On business from Melbourne and needed this place for a quick quality bite for lunch. Great unpretentious eatery with that relaxed friendly vibe and great coffee that would satisfy a coffee snob such as I. Veggie pattie and spicy chick pea salad a must. 1

Stopped in for breakfast while in Newcastle... Great coffee coupled with a scrambled egg, pancetta and relish toasted turkish, with inviting service made for a good start to the day.

I was recently in Newcastle for the day and a friend recommended that I come here for lunch as it was the hipster place to be in Newcastle. I was looking forward to the coffee and food but pretty disappointed. There was a limited selection of food and the toastie I ordered was something I probably could have made at home. The takeaway cappuccino I ordered was expensive but weak, almost like drinking instant. The wait staff were a little too cool for school. This is not somewhere I return to when I'm next in Newcastle.

Drove past but decided to turn around and head inside. Was worth it. Great coffee, friendly staff and nice setting.

Lovely. I wasn't sure if I was cool enough to be allowed in this cafe, but the staff are very nice. Don't let the hipster decor and yarn-bombed posts outside put you off.
Really nice coffee and good honest food. The hot porridge with khoshaf is wonderful after morning walk!
