Really good atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Vegetarian lasagne was delicious but the blue eyed cod was overcooked.
Had a great stay at The Criterion. We were arriving late and Beau and staff stayed after the pub had shut to give us a warm welcome and a drink on arrival. The room was spacious, clean and comfy. I do not recommend staying in the accommodation offered at all! They offer no microwave or any way to cook your own food.. no fridge and no tv. Literally a bed and that's it. Overpriced, for exactly what you would expect to get at a backpackers.

Love The Cri! Caught their lockdown deals on Facebook and couldn't have asked for a better night off cooking. Meal was massive for two people and topped off with some takeaway cocktails in super cute glass bottles was the icing on the cake. The online ordering was super easy and the cocktail bundles
Great place! Stayed for the night after booking last minute. Zak had a good chat with us and made sure we were all sorted with everything and gave us a 1 free drink voucher for the bar after we were settled. I have been coming to the cri for years and it’s not perfect but it has a great atmosphere. The food is good for pub food. Plus ever weekend they have a trivia night.
