A tad loud and crowded so if that bothers you a lot then oh well. But to be honest if a place is crowded that usually means it’s well loved
Food is great! Well worth the price (and not expensive either) staff were really great as well
You can instantly rate a place by how many empty chairs there are.

Epic food and great hosts. Pinos is a funky little gem of a restaurant with a weekly changing menu of super tasty face treats and is BYO, you can’t go wrong. We love Pinos!

My girlfriend Vanessa and I had a beautiful meal at Pinos on Saturday (9 July). We were so impressed by the beautiful vegan food, portion sizes, atmosphere and the staff. Erin who provided guidance on the menu was outstanding and had a beautiful and professional manner. We will be back again and would highly recommend this place for anyone, whether you are vegan, vegetarian or a meat lover, your senses will be delighted.

Didnt realise this was a vegan restaurant until I got there – I’m not vegan but always up for eating vego and vegan. My husband and I shared the fake sauce gnocchi and the charred corn, chilli and basil pasta. I thought the gnocchi was amazing – the corn one less so but I still enjoyed it and glad I got to try something different. I can see other reviewers saying the food is on the salty side – I thought it was a great level of salty personally! We also got the panna cotta dessert and I really liked it. The service was great; our main waitperson was super lovely and helped recommend a fantastic wine and answered other questions we had. I liked the ambience as the restaurant’s decor is very charming and interesting to look at – yes it’s maybe a little loud since the place is quite small, but I was able to have a conversation with my partner at a normal volume, without raising my voice. This mightve been different if we were a bigger table. I was visiting Newcastle on a trip and would definitely return if I ever came back.
Very busy Friday evening, so the place did feel a bit crowded. The food is fantastic though - I’ve been vegetarian for 40 years and have eaten veg food in many parts of the world. This is very much up there with the best. Why not 5 stars then? Service was genuinely friendly and helpful but a bit erratic - some of our mains came out quite a while (20 mins) after the others and it’s awkward to have some at table not eating while others are, or for everyone to wait and let food get cold. But we’d definitely try here again.
Oh my goodness the food is amazing!! I can't wait to go back! It was great going with friends and sharing dishes so we could try everything. There are great gluten free options.
