Review Baba Yaga - Newcastle

THAWT _
A pretty solid coffee experience. Elevate coffee was a new one for me, not bad, tastey but not made exceptionally or with apparent care. Though i'd have liked more of an atmosphere. There's no real reason to pick this place with the standard or Darby Street significantly higher.

The best coffee I've had in months, and the haloumi and mushroom brioche was magnificent. We ended up staying after brunch for a second coffee, it was so good. Not too expensive either, and the staff were very friendly.

Cute place, friendly staff, but overpriced coffee. $4 for a 200ml small, and yet even with a relatively large coffee-milk ratio, mine just tasted like warm milk. Was likely underextracted, or perhaps I just don't like the roast, or perhaps they don't put a full 30ml shot in a small. The milk was served less than 60°C.

Absolutely delicious! Great coffee and friendly, fast service. It's so awesome to have a local cafe serving proper gozleme without having to hunt down market stalls and wait forever in lines!

A real gem… high-quality coffee and genuine, extremely kind owners and staff. Exactly the kind of independent shop that adds local flavor, and is worth a visit for a coffee and an outdoor chat.

Nice place and friendly personnel. I was there accompanied by my girlfriend. The food was presented in a nice way but the yogurt exceed in sweet like the truffle avocado toast in salt. Good orange juice and nice short latte.

Very polite and friendly staff, and the coffee was smooth and well made by the barista (good temp, nice blend - not burnt or bitter at all). Highly recommended

First visit to haywire this morning for breakfast catch ups with the girls. Have to say I am so impressed by the staff, service, and food/drink. We had little ones with us and they were so kid friendly! It's such a great vibe! I'd 100% recommend this place. For ppl (like me) not from Newy, it's on Darby St near the main pedestrian lights. Opposite the Del.

Haywire is the most enjoyable and welcoming place to grab a coffee. The staff are so lovely! The coffee is great and there are tasty options for folks with allergies like myself which I appreciate so much. Thanks for being so damn cool Haywire on Darby!

Awesome place, awesome vibes and staff who are willing to throw a pun around with me. Please note: you will be subjected to listening to the Prince of Bel Air theme while there. More than once 😂

Great coffee and great energy. Made my trip home to Canberra all the more enjoyable after breakfast and banter with the all.

Going to Haywire is like going to a friends place for coffee. Except the coffee is heaps better than what your friends can make. The ever evolving amazeballs playlists, 6am weekday dance offs and random Instagram-Live trivia sessions and super crisp high-fives are only part of what makes this place special. If you go to Haywire and don't smile even once then you're part of the problem and we can't be friends.

Coffee 110% lived up to the 'worlds greatest coffee notion' Love the whole vibe, friendly staff - you can tell they love being there, even when it's a gorgeous day out and Peppi is sure to bring a smile to your dial
