Definitely one of my favourite places to get coffee in Newcastle. The coffees (and the cakes...) are always delicious, but it wouldn't be the place it is without the staff. Friendly and helpful, I always look forward to the stories and the vivid descriptions of the drinks as they're brought out.

Easily the best coffee in Newcastle. A place for people who seriously enjoy their coffee, consistent quality with subtle variations depending on the bean makes for always great, never boring coffee. This is a place for coffee lovers, if you want a babycino with 12 sugars and you don't want to get out of your oversize SUV, head to McCafe; if you want the best head to loco.

Without exaggeration I can easily say they make the best coffee I've ever drunk. They get sweet treats in from a local baker with different cakes each time, so there's always a chance to try something new. They always have great music playing, and the staff are always friendly and obviously care a lot about what they do. Just a few reasons why I always go back and am never disappointed.

I'm not a coffee expert by any means though i can tell you The Loco's coffee be it an espresso or a double shot latte is the best i have had by far. Its not just the great coffee which keeps me coming back it's the friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable guys behind the LA Marzocco coffee machine.

Probably my favorite cafe in Mayfield. If you aren't much of a coffee enthusiast than probably go elsewhere as food options are minimal. The focus is the coffee. Staff will make sure you know exactly what you are drinking. The cafe layout is clean and casual. I go here often.

I've been there about 6 times.
The stars are for the coffee and decor for their desired customers.
Unfortunately for my partner and I, each of us 2 a day coffee lovers with kids it is far from suitable.
As they won't serve baby chinos. I cant fork out for a hot chocolates x 4 a day nor would I want to give them that much choc.
I also tired of being told how to drink my coffee. I felt that being denied my half sugar was too much. Most people I ask about their experience say "love the coffee I just wish I could have it the way I like it... we didn't go back"

ANYWHO! I inhaled the coffee, just perfect, I freaking love my coffee and my whole body just knows when I've had a great coffee, everytime I have gone their (today too) I get great service, and I always see people in there, couples, mates and the occasional person by themselves.
I really like the clean and relaxed vibe, it's not 'sterile' like some people have said, it's just neat and simple.
The main focus is the coffee, and I love that there is a cafe dedicated to that for once!
Also had some orange cake I think is homemade? it was the bomb, new favorite cake! 😊

Twice I have been to this cafe and been given the same story that they stand by their coffee and that it does not need sugar. If I ask for sugar, I expect it to be but in the coffee, no matter if the staff think otherwise. On both occasions even after insisting I wanted sugar, I returned to the car to find? No sugar. PUT THE SUGAR IN!!!! Back to Suspension Expresso for me...best coffee in Newcastle hands down.

To The Coffee Aficionados living in or travelling to Newcastle, this is the place to sit back & enjoy the single origin coffee beans. The Guatemalan blend is Amazing!!!
The place serves perfect coffee & to die for toasted sangers (choice of 2).
The place is like a lab, from water served from super clean beakers to the equipment used to make the perfect cup, with each coffee batch weighted for accuracy & to the digital machine monitoring the temp. of the milk.
Attention to detail equals the Perfect Cup.
Ps. You really know you've found a special place when there's no sugar sachets to be found to add to your cup. The Owner, Hamish, tells me it's all about the coffee/beans. No contamination needed.
The Customer Service is 10/10.

The coffee is really good but I started going to the other coffee shop nearby because they don’t judge me when I ask for sugar in my coffee. “You should try it without sugar” yeah don’t worry I’ve tried coffee without sugar, I like it with sugar. I don’t care who seranaded the beans or which rare creature digested them, I’m the one who’s drinking it, and I’d like a spoon of sugar in there without being judged thank you.

Loved the look and atmosphere. Toastie was really good and staff were nice. Although i am a almond milk drinker as im lactose intolerant and i can't have soy as it also makes me unwell. So i thought its ok ill just order a long black which usually is ok. The coffee was to over extracted and acidic for me and i needed sugar which was not available � ashame cause place was really nice. The fact there's no dairy free alternative for me and no sugar for black coffee will stop me returning.

Beans are ground fresh shot by shot and the dude even weighs each grind. Give it ago and give Mayfo a go.
